“Jessica deserves 10/10 stars. She was amazing with Bailey. She was able to make our wedding special by bringing Bailey to our wedding ceremony. We definitely plan on using Jessica again for our boarding services in the future.”

“I can't say enough wonderful things about Kim!! She was the perfect fit for my 8yr old Mal-Shi, Ella. She took such good care of my anxious little girl, giving her lots of love & comfort, as well as paying attention to the details of her care. She absolutely treated her like the queen that she is.”

“Daniel and Rachel are always so accommodating and sends us many photos and videos of our Yote playing. He's always so happy to visit and pooped when we bring him home.”

“I simply cannot say enough good things about the experience of having Connie and Greg watch Carter for me while I was away. I have booked with Connie several times in the past and I will continue to book with her in the future. It is a relief to know that Carter is the best hands when Connie is watching him. While I always miss my fur baby when I'm not there, I never have to worry about him getting the care and attention he needs. My dog has a sensitive stomach and very strict diet limitations. Connie's attention to detail while adhering to his restrictions is so appreciated. Connie maintains constant communication with text messages and pictures so that you know your pet is doing well! Leaving our pets while away is stressful, but I assure you, you have nothing to worry about when you choose Connie. Thank you so much for everything!”

“My pup was well taking care of. I wish I had more pictures and updates during the stay, but I guess I didn’t communicate that. She was combed, happy and I really appreciated Rikki and her family taking care of her.”

“Sarah is very professional and thorough! She took notes about all of my puppy’s preferences and made sure to follow up with me throughout her stay. My dog got lots of love, care, and play with Sarah!”

“I brought our dog Yukon for daycare to Paula & Bill today, and I were a little worried at the beginning since my dog has strong separation anxiety. To my surprise, Yukon adapted so well in new environment. He felt comfortable very quickly, and had great time with Paula,Bill and their two dogs Marty &Ginger. iIt was clear he was well cared for and given lots of attention. It means so much to us to find a loving, patient, and responsible family to take care of our fur baby. We truly appreciate the warm and safe environment they provide. We definitely will come back again! Highly recommend!”

“Thank you Kristin. You were awesome and did a great job with my pup. Sent me pics and kept me updated. I would recommend you to anyone needing someone to care for their fur baby🐕💙”

“Jenna was absolutely AMAZING!! First of all, her yard is truly every dog’s dream-beyond that, she was super communicative and made us feel so ease leaving our dogs with her. We appreciate that she only takes on one client at a time, and I was so relieved to not feel stressed during my wedding weekend since she provided updates and photos showing how happy Leo and Dylan were!”

“Asked Natasha to rescue my Great Dane (GD) from a negligent Rover provider who I had left my pet with for 6 hrs and had been locked into a filthy bathroom. Natasha then had to relieve my GD from high anxiety and aloneness. On top of that the filty previous orovider didnt maintain a clean house and left sugar, drugs, and other health hazards out in open in GD got sick and serious care of Diarrhea. Well Natasha took care of her and her belongings and her family kept her within their inner circle helping GD find courage to enjoy her environment and new friends. 2 days later I picked up a HEALTHY AGILE ..... FULLY energized and happy pup with no symptoms at all. My advice is Dont pass on Natasha, her family, her pets, and her boarding arrangements. She is a professional dog lover among the few Rover Royalty.”

“My Opal had a relaxing stay with Wyatt. She got to socialize with other dogs & there were no worries about her safety & care. Progress photos thru the week were comforting to receive. Wyatt gets my highest recommendation.”

“We are so thankful that Sherrie is available to let Piper come into her home when we need to go away. Piper is always relaxed and happy when we pick her up so we know that she has been cared for and loved while we are gone.”

“Kate was an amazing sitter! She made the entire process seamless, providing regular updates and adorable pictures of our dog. I highly recommend her and would absolutely book with her again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
