About: Hello my name is Kristin. I love you caring for animals; all types and all ages. I have had everything from fish and hermit crabs to guinea pigs, dogs, cats, a salamander that lived to be 14 years old. I am happy to just let your dogs out, or play ball with them or take them for a walk down the street. I can stop in to help someone who can't care for their animals due to surgery or health. I can also take care of your farm animals, even just popping in to check the water troughs or buckets in the middle of the day. Prices vary depending on level of involvement. I take regular as well as sporadic appointments if you just want to take a night off and go out or would have an emergency. I do not offer in-house care at my home due to my senior animals. I create my own schedule. I love taking care of all animals: small animals to dogs and cats to farm animals. I have had guinea pigs, hermit crabs, fish, a salamander (who loved to be 14), dogs, cats and horses. I can be flexible, with notice, to suit a client's needs. I am very safe to not let any animals out the door unless they are leashed or have a fenced in yard. I had a cat who was a master escape artist growing up... I have not forgotten. I will follow any directions you have. I am glad to come in and just clean litter boxes for those that have physical difficulty or dislike doing that, etc. I will always be sure your gates and doors are locked when I leave.

About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for family, neighbors, and friends for the last 6-7 years. I have more experience with dogs— ranging from all sizes and ages, however I love cats and never say no to a feline friend as well! Expected care for the animals from me has included daily walks, feeding per directed schedule, hanging out with them, medication administration as needed, and cleaning up after them after an occasional “oopsie”. Most of my experience has been staying in client houses, so I am comfortable with that, however I am also more than confident with driving back and forth for potty breaks throughout the day. I just completed grad school and I am a certified Physician Associate working in the ER. My work schedule is typically 2-3 12h shifts a week— flipping between day and night shifts. My schedule for pet care is more client-based than anything and I will always work my personal schedule around taking care of the animals needs first. I prefer keeping the clients pets in their homes for their safety and comfort. I will always put them on leashes unless they are fenced in and I will go outside with them initially to keep an eye on them and to feel out the surroundings myself.

I’ve self-trained my own dogs and I’m comfortable reinforcing basic obedience commands like sit, stay, leave it, and leash manners (especially helpful for puppies and energetic dogs). I also have experience caring for a dog with seizures who requires medication, so I’m confident with administering meds and supporting pets with special routines or extra care needs. I expect to communicate frequently during your pet's visit with me. In my home: For daycare or boarding, I require that dogs are crate trained, since dogs will be crated overnight and anytime I’m not home. I also require up-to-date vaccine records to keep everyone safe. I have two dogs of my own, so I carefully monitor introductions and compatibility. We do have a yard, but it is not fenced, so all outdoor time is supervised and on-leash. In your home: During our meet & greet, we’ll go over your pet’s routine in detail (feeding, potty breaks, walks, medication, etc.). I ask that any important care instructions are also listed in your pet’s Rover profile in writing, so everything is clear and consistent. I’m happy to follow your household routines as close as possible during the visit.
