About: I have taken care of many friends and family members cats and dogs. Including walking dogs, feeding animals, overnight care, cleaning litter boxes, etc. I also have 3 dogs of my own that I help take care of and have been left alone for a week to care for them. We got one of my dogs when he was just a puppy, so I also gave experience caring for him and all of his energy. I also have a senior dog (15 years old!) that I have experience caring for, things like administering medicine, wiping butts, etc. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I can stop in throughout the day or evening depending on your schedule. I am also available on some weekends as well! I have dogs that like to chase other animals, so they wear shock collars when they are in the yard and I keep a close eye on them. I have also become more skilled in keeping them under control during walks as sometimes I am walking multiple of them at once. I can crate or leash animals if needed in order to keep the environment safe.
“Jenna took care of my 2 cats while I was away for a week. 1 of my cats LOVES attention so she always took pictures of petting him. My other cat is very shy, so his pictures were always taken under the bed. L It was a relief to know they were well cared for while I was gone.”

I'm looking forward to meeting and caring for your furry loved ones! Why I love dog sitting I have had at least 1 dog my whole life. I've had breeds ranging from Chihuahuas, to Boxers, to Bull Terriers. Dogs are a blessing and I love having them in my life. I will administer pills and liquid drops, but not shots. About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for family, neighbors, and friends for the last 6-7 years. I have more experience with dogs— ranging from all sizes and ages, however I love cats and never say no to a feline friend as well! Expected care for the animals from me has included daily walks, feeding per directed schedule, hanging out with them, medication administration as needed, and cleaning up after them after an occasional “oopsie”. Most of my experience has been staying in client houses, so I am comfortable with that, however I am also more than confident with driving back and forth for potty breaks throughout the day. I just completed grad school and I am a certified Physician Associate working in the ER. My work schedule is typically 2-3 12h shifts a week— flipping between day and night shifts. My schedule for pet care is more client-based than anything and I will always work my personal schedule around taking care of the animals needs first. I prefer keeping the clients pets in their homes for their safety and comfort. I will always put them on leashes unless they are fenced in and I will go outside with them initially to keep an eye on them and to feel out the surroundings myself.

“My dogs took to William/were extremely at ease with him immediately - he has calming mojo 😉 He is very responsive, very punctual with his visits, and thorough with his visit reports .... and also is very conscientious and goes above and beyond - bringing in the mail and tidying up around the house if he sees something that needs attention! I would certainly recommend William to anyone needing someone to care for their furbabies!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
