About: Whether you require regular daytime walks, occasional drop-in visits, or overnight sitting, you can count on me to treat your pet like a precious, irreplaceable gem! I’m the pawrent of a Pekingese dog, two Exotic Shorthair cats, and a Persian cat. I am also a foster meowmie for other kitties. I have experience with senior and special-needs pets, including as a volunteer dog walker for PAWS NY, an organization that helps people in need keep their pets in their lives. I will send you lots of photos and videos so you can be fully informed about the well-being of your pet/s. I am self-employed as a designer and writer and quite flexible time-wise. In addition to dogs and cats, I’m also happy to care for bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, birds, and other exotic pets. I’ve read some horror stories about overnight sitters, as I’m sure you have. If I am house-sitting for you, I will be staying overnight in your home, so your pet will be in its usual environment. If you choose daycare or boarding with me, I will be staying overnight with your pet in a secure, cozy apartment with a fenced-in backyard (my own dog and cats won’t be present). I don’t walk dogs off leash and I don’t open windows for the safety of small dogs and cats. If your animal has any symptoms of illness, you’ll be advised immediately. If it’s hot out, I will ask that we run the A/C for the health of your pet. The well-being of your pet is as important to me as the well-being of my own pets.

“Thank you Jessie for sitting my Stormi! I can tell she felt comfortable with you. I will definitely book her with you whenever in need of a sitter. Thank you!”

About: I am a recently graduated Masters student Columbia University, now working full-time remote with lots of flexibility during the day. I have six small dogs back home and have grown up around dogs all my life, so have great experience with them. Three of my dogs are rescues, and on top of that I've also volunteered at a pet shelter socializing rescued dogs and cats. Over the past few years, I have also gained lots of experience with all kinds of dogs on Rover. I will take great care of your pets, making sure that their safety is top priority in addition to their fun and happiness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my pet experience. Working 100% remotely, my schedule is super flexible, so I can stay at home during the day and do plenty of walks and play time. Most importantly, I make sure I always know where the dog is, and that all doors/possible exits are secured. I also make sure the dog doesn't eat anything that will make them unwell or they shouldn't be eating. I follow the dog's behavioral cues, walking or playing with them if they have a lot of energy, or leaving them be if they don't want the attention. I know how important consistency is for dogs, especially ones that are learning, so I always check any specific household or behavioral rules or routines with owners ahead of time.

“Tyson has been attending 3 times a week for the last 3weeks for daycare. Genesis has been flexible when changes to drop off/pick up were requested. She sends regular pictures. Tyson is always in good spirits at the end of each day!”

Wendy B.Star Sitter
“I have known Wendy since before she had her first pet who was a rescue. She has since adopted additional dogs and cats over the past two decades. She knows how to connect with animals and adapt to their needs and find the services they need if there is a particular issue. She has spared no medical expense when needed -- and there have been many with some of her rescues. She adores animals and is committed to helping them no matter how challenging they may be. Wendy is extremely responsible and attentive to any possible issue the pet might have. It is not possible for a pet to be more loved or to receive better care. Anyone entrusting their pet to Wendy will know that she will be attentive and communicate anything important (or interesting) concerning pet with the pet owner. You won't find anyone more wonderful with pets than Wendy.”
