About: Hi there! I’m Shelley — a seasoned and trustworthy sitter offering in-home pet care across the Outer Banks. I specialize in keeping your pets safe, happy, and right on schedule while you’re away. Whether it’s a daily drop-in, a neighborhood walk, or staying overnight at your home, I bring consistency and genuine care to every visit. Based in KDH, I serve the surrounding Outer Banks communities within a 30-mile radius. Flexible, dependable, and always communicative, I’m here to make travel less stressful for both you and your furbabies. I care for both dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and needs and always treat your home with the same respect I give your pets.

About: Hello! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all kinds. Back in Texas, I had a hobby farm with cats, goats, chickens, and my lovable dog, Hero. We even boarded dogs on occasion, and my passion for animals has only continued to grow. These days, I enjoy getting outside often—I’m a recreationalist who loves walking and hiking with my own dog. Now that I’m new to the Outer Banks, I’d love the opportunity to walk your dogs or stop in for house visits with other pets, too. My goal is always to make sure your animals feel safe, happy, and loved. You can feel confident knowing they’re in caring hands and treated like part of the family. I’m also happy to answer any questions or concerns before booking to help put your mind at ease. I am currently a stay at home Mom, with school just around the corner I will be kid free with plenty of time to care for your pets! While caring for your pets in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll happily provide updates about the visit—including whether they ate, went potty, and how they’re feeling—along with photos and even our walk route. I can also administer any needed medications, crate them if required, and ensure your home is secure before I leave.

“Lindsey was a great babysitter for our Poppy! She checked in each day and sent pics/videos. I felt at ease knowing our kitty was getting attention and love while we were away. Thank you!”

“I had no problems with Lauren as she watched my cat Jimi. She did what she was asked to do. I would hire her again, if needed. I appreciated the updates with pictures. Thanks again, Lauren.”

I can do walks or care visits in the morning or evenings. About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals my entire life from dogs all the way to alpacas! I grew up riding and taking care of horses since I was 6 which came with learning about how different animals communicate. I also grew up with 2 Jack Russell’s who were both my best friends until they passed from old age. I am luckily the only member of my family who isn’t allergic to cats, I think it’s because my grandmother had 20+ cats when I was a kid, and I made it my personal goal to befriend every single one. I love animals and I promise I will love your dog, cat, fish, snake, etc just as much! If you do happen to have a pet that is not a dog that needs to be watched let me know, and we can work something out! I currently work full time at a fishing pier Monday through Friday and work part time as a server, and do kayak tours on the side, so this is also a part time gig. I want as much time hanging out with your fluffy friend as you do, so please request at least a week before your visit to the Outer Banks or if you live full time here. I have a lot of green space in my neighborhood for long walks on leash, and I live with my boyfriends 4 year old golden retriever named Axel (the boyfriend too) and often bring him on many adventures with my rover returnees.

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life! My previous rescues, Bailey and Kira, passed away of old age and it took several years but in January of 2021 I adopted Sprinkles, a lab-hound mix who is approximately 2-ish years old and 50lbs. She gets along well with all dogs and loves to play! She can be rambunctious so if your dog is mellow, she will get on their nerves. I grew up with dobermans and I regularly watch my bff's 10lb small dog (and Sprinkles' friend) so I'm used to dogs both big and small. Nothing phases me - I can administer medication and subcutaneous fluids and can follow complicated feeding instructions - some of our furry friends are finicky! I love the bond formed when walking dogs - it's very special. My home is pet-friendly, with a small fenced-in backyard. Your dog will have a lovely time and I will be thrilled to take care of them! I am a realtor with a very flexible work schedule so there will be a lot of 1:1 time with your pet. We have sidewalks everywhere and a dog park within walking distance (only if you give the ok). I set an alarm and feed them breakfast and dinner consistently at the same time - it typically provides a calming effect when staying in a new place. I can let them out first AM in the backyard and after that it will be walks in and outside of Bermuda Bay, with lots of great sniffs!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 12, when I got my very first pup — and I’ve been the go-to dog person ever since. Friends and family always count on me to provide loving, dependable care, whether it’s a weekend getaway, daily walks, or a fun-filled playdate. What sets me apart is the personal attention I give to each dog — I treat them like family, not just another booking. Every pup gets love, play, and plenty of tail wags while you’re away! I’m available for dog walks, boarding, and drop-ins after 5 PM every day, with Sundays and Mondays completely open for all-day care and cuddles! I truly appreciate every opportunity to take care of your furry family and show them some love while you’re away. I am very respectful and trustworthy in client's homes. I can easily accompany your dog in their own space to make them feel safe and relaxed while you're away. Whether you’re heading out for a day or a week, you can relax knowing your best friend is safe, happy, and in trusted hands.

I’m happy to drop in after work if your pup needs, but I’m also available all day Wednesday-Friday!
