1. Mindy S.
“Mindy took great care of our Walter. I think he was missing her dog Maggie after I brought him home. It was so nice to leave him with peace of mind that he was in good hands, and getting his daily walks. We enjoyed getting videos of him as well.”
2. Flannery S.
“Flannery and I have been friends for years and I can confidently say that she is one of the best people I know. She is so loving, compassionate, and trustworthy. Flannery currently has 2 dogs that she treats like angels. She is incredibly gentle and kind with all animals and I can guarantee that she will treat every animal she watches with such care.”
3. Abbigail K.
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in high school and have experience with different breeds of all kinds! After getting 2 rescues of my own within the last year, I realize the love dog parents have for their fur babies and promise to treat your pets like my own while they are under my care! I work 3 night shifts a week and am off the remainder of the time. My dogs are crated/in a pen during this time. We can talk about any needs you pet may have! Let me know what your pets need. I have backup crates/pens and want them to feel comfortable and at home! I’m more than willing to make special accommodations for them.
4. Laura H.
About: My name is Laura and I am come from a long background in animal care in zoos and aquariums and have animal training experience using positive reinforcement (operant conditioning). I would be happy to help train your pet/animal or take them on long walks. I love being outside and have had dogs my whole life. I currently have two dogs of my own, a pit/lab mix and an Australian cattle dog. I currently work Monday-Friday, but am available on weekends anytime (Saturday and Sunday) and some evenings (6-8pm) on weekdays. I would be happy to come by your place several times throughout the day/evening to care for your pet. Safety is my number one priority. When I take animals for walks we are safe around other animals and people. I have two friendly dogs that love to play that and would be happy to socialize your dog with mine as long as they get along with other animals.
5. Rose N.
“Rose took wonderful care of our Violet, sent pics and gave us updates during the stay. So grateful to know our pup was in good hands during our stay on the OBX.”
6. Carl C.
“Carl has always had a loving heart for dogs. He treats his own dog like a human member of the family. I've never been a big dog person myself, but he makes sure the dog is respectful and trained whenever she comes over to the house. Carl would make a great dogsitter!”
7. Kaycee & Chris N.
“Zoey had a great time! Fenced back yard, other fun animals and people who treated her like she was family? The pics and video were awesome and I truly felt Zoey was safe with Kaycee and Chris. I can't recommend them enough! My circumstances are changing with the addition of another dog in my home, if they're amenable and my 2nd dog has as sweet a disposition as Zoey has, when I travel, I know where they could stay! Thanks so much!”
8. Lauren C.
“Lauren took great care of our Lab, Spinny, while we were out of town. She sent us updates about how she was doing and Spinny loved playing with her dog. We hope to have Spinny stay with Lauren again!”
9. Mary M.
“First time Rover user and am pleased to report that everything went great and Mary truly cares for your dog while in her care! During the booking process Mary was very attentive and quick to respond, and she assured me that my pup will be in good hands. I only needed my dog to be in Mary's care for a few days before our dog-friendly rental was available, so knowing that she was 7 minutes away was helpful, she even said I could stop by and take her for the day if I wanted to! Very cool! Day 1 my pup was not very happy to be there and was whining at the door... Mary texted me asking if there was anything she could do to make her feel comfortable, after a couple more hours my dog was snuggling with her and was super content. Mary really did care about my dog and her feelings which was very appreciated. Last but not least, Mary gave me suggestions of places to eat and cool things to do in the area! I went to a couple of her suggestions and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend and I will definitely rebook with Mary if I am in the area again.”
10. Jessica & Earl S.
“Jessica and EJ were the best dogsitters ever! Having never been away from our puppy before we were super nervous but even from day 1 they put our minds at ease. They were extremely attentive, kind and caring and kept our dog very active - with outside play, walks, and a trip to the beach. They also made sure to keep us in the loop with pictures and texts. Their dog was also very gentle and a great companion for the week to our puppy. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Jessica and EJ. Highly highly recommend!!!! Thank you both again for everything!”
11. Amy M.
“Amy is the best!!! She took my reservation request super last minute and my dogs were well taken care of. We received pictures to let us know how they were doing with her. Will definitely use her again! Thank you Amy!!”
12. Erin R.
“Erin was an awesome sitter. She watched our golden retriever for a couple days and had a fantastic setup; Giant fenced in backyard with a pool and other dogs that got along really well. She updated us with pictures and was very easy to communicate with. Dog must have had a blast because she was exhausted when we picked her up. Will definitely return if in the OBX area!”
13. Kimberly G.
“Kimberly watched my German Shepherd Terrier, Stevie, over the weekend and we couldn't have had a better experience! She was very responsive and accommodating from the very first message I sent until we picked Stevie up. She sent me pictures of Stevie throughout the weekend and I could see how much fun they were having and was not worried or anxious at all. We could see how happy (and tired!) Stevie was when we picked her up. I would definitely recommend Kimberly to watch your pup!”
14. Kellie J.
“Kellie’s dogs are not just pets they are family! She will give your dog the tender loving care you want for your fur baby!! Highly recommend!!!”

18. Theresa F.
“When I was looking for a pet sitter for our senior dog and read the reviews of Theresa and her family I knew she would love our fur baby, Holly, as much as her own family. Thanks to Theresa we were able to enjoy our week in Duck, NC knowing Holly was close by. She sent us daily photos of Holly, which also confirmed our decision to have her stay with Theresa. I can’t thank her enough for patience and love this week! If you’re looking for a pet sitter in OBX who will love your pet as much as you do... I highly recommend Theresa!”
19. Tracy H.
“Tessie has never been away from home without a family member, and so I was petrified of finding someone who could treat my moms dog like family and help ease any anxiety she’d have about being separated. Tracy was an absolute godsend. Mila and Milo are both the sweetest pups and between them and her boys playing with Tess she barely had time to feel homesick! Sweet girl had a ton of fun and I could sleep easy knowing she was loved and cared for.”
20. Hailey B.
“Hailey was great ! She spent lots of time with Crowley and I can tell he was comfortable with her! Definitely would re book!”
