Our dog had a wonderful time “on the farm” with Rose and her family. She was very accommodating on when we could drop off and pick up. She also kept us up to date via text on how he was doing, including sending lots of pictures.

Sam took great care of our two doxies. She even took them to a dachshund meetup, which judging by the pictures she sent us, they thoroughly enjoyed! Our dogs were very relaxed when we picked them up, which told us they were not stressed at all. We will definitely book with Sam in the future!

ERIC Always provides a safe, fun and dog friendly space for my highly Anxious dog. He let's her snuggle up to feel safe and gives her plenty of space to run around and play with other dogs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM..I drive 20.miles just to use his boarding service.

Michelle took great care of our pup! We have a 16-month old lab-mix with medium/high energy, and she kept her safe, active, and entertained. She was also flexible with our travel schedule which was massively helpful. Much more reasonable/affordable rates compared to other Rovers in the area. No idea how people justify $75 - $100+ nightly rates; seems outrageous, IMO. Anyways, not much more you can ask for or expect! Great experience all around. Will not hesitate to book with her again if/when the need arises.

Five Stars plus more. My in laws rented a beach house in the Outer Banks that dogs where not allowed. My fur baby, Penny, has never been away from us and I wasn't very happy about not being able to bring her. From the moment we dropped Penny off with Theresa I knew Penny would be fine ( we still missed her very much). Thersea has a huge fenced back yard for Penny and her new dog friends(Thersea's furbabys) to run and play. Thersea went above and beyond, every night with Facetime so we could say goodnight to Penny. Also, she made sure Penny had her nightly belly rubs. Thank you for giving Penny a fun vacation at your house. I won't hesitant to use Theresa again.

We were so blessed to find Nicole to care for our pup over the weekend. It was his first time experiencing out of home overnight boarding so we were very nervous how he would do. She sent frequent updates with pictures of him playing with her sweet pups and going for regular walks which made me feel so much better! Although my pup was stressed, Nicole did everything possible to care for him and put him at ease. She even went above and beyond by washing his things and giving him a bath. I’m so appreciative of her and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat your pup like their own!

Sara provided awesome care for Josie, our Moyen Poodle! She took her into her own home and together with Sara's two dogs they all got along very well. Josie got a lttle anxious one day and gnawed a little bit of door casing, Sara was very understanding and more concerned about Josie than the gnaw marks. We would recommend Sara for anyone looking for a caring, compassionate person to look after the dog they love! Respectfully, Gordon & Janet Galligan

About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

About: 40+ years’ experience caring for and loving dogs of all ages. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs and even those in their prime with plenty of energy. I am experienced with administering medicine if needed and caring for those with special needs. My husband and I have always had our own fur babies (toy and standard poodles), but do not have any currently. Can host only NON-SHEDDING BREEDS, due to family allergies. Must be house broken/trained (to potty outside), with the exception of puppies. I am retired, so I’m always here to give extra cuddles, potty breaks, play time and walks. I really love their company! Tell me their routine while at home with you and I will do my best to ensure it stays the same when in my care. We have a large fenced yard with shade in a small and quiet subdivision. Our home is two story so plenty of room for playing and naps. If they do not care stairs, I will ensure stay on the main floor. Our neighborhood is perfect for walks. I have crates if they are crate trained and you prefer that, but that is not necessary unless that is your preference. Being on the furniture or bed in our home is fine with me too. I give extra special attention if they are nervous for any reason such as thunderstorms, loud noises (such as fireworks on a holiday). I am very attentive and adapt to small things such as if they just don't like going out in the rain. I always send daily updates including photos, videos & text throughout their stay.

What a great place to take care of our German Shepherds. Rose was so caring. My super picky pups loved it there! Rose has beautiful farm with everything from rabbits to ponies that the pups got to safely see. You can imagine how entertained they were. I can’t say enough god things about how well they were taken care of. My pups are usually suspicious of strangers but took to Rose like she was family. I can’t imagine finding a better place or caretaker for our dogs!

Rose took wonderful care of our very anxious Mini Australian Shepherd, Louie, over the past five days. From the moment we left him with her, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Louie had an absolute blast during his stay, and his anxiety was remarkably well managed, which is no small feat. It was clear that Rose gave him the attention, patience, and affection he needed to feel comfortable and happy. We couldn’t be more grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. We highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for exceptional pet care, and we will absolutely be booking with her again!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Powells Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
