“Michelle took great care of our pup! We have a 16-month old lab-mix with medium/high energy, and she kept her safe, active, and entertained. She was also flexible with our travel schedule which was massively helpful. Much more reasonable/affordable rates compared to other Rovers in the area. No idea how people justify $75 - $100+ nightly rates; seems outrageous, IMO. Anyways, not much more you can ask for or expect! Great experience all around. Will not hesitate to book with her again if/when the need arises.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! About: Your animals will love coming back to me, I’ve grown up with dogs multiple from every breed cocker spaniel, dachshund, labs you name it I’ve had one and although we aren’t in a spot to have one of our own we love the idea of having there company around because they are a mans best friend. About: My family has always had pets within the house, typically dogs but also various cats as well! During COVID, we adopted a puppy and I was pretty much the main caretaker as I was in virtual school while my parents had to go into work. My younger siblings helped out a bit but I was definitely more trustworthy with the dog. That puppy grew into a 100 lb mutt who is such a teddy bear! In college, my roommate got a Chiweenie, much smaller than my family dogs, but helping out with him helped show me the various energy levels of dogs and the differing enrichment each pet needs! Last October, I adopted a hound mix of my own! She is my best friend and caring for her and interacting with other dog owners has influenced me into looking for helping out with others’ pets!! I’m on a break from my part time employment until April 11th. After that, I will work 40 hours a week, Wednesday through Sunday, with me being off Mondays & Tuesdays. I live in Nags Head but love to commute, my dog as well! So we’re often walking around the neighborhood in the morning then going on a more adventurous walk such as Jockey’s Ridge or the dog park if the sun allows! My dog personally needs a lot of sniffing time so if I’m unable to get a long distance walk in, a good sniffing walk tends to get her sleepy enough to settle. Sometimes I’ll pop by during my hour long lunch break to say hey and give her a puzzle treat game, but not always. I have a fenced in deck that I often let my dog out on. My dog is incredibly friendly and will play with dogs of all sizes, from Dachshunds to Great Danes! She plays rough, so if that’s not your dog’s play style, let me know! I’m willing to take all dogs to the various dog parks around or walk them throughout any terrains, and times! If I’m walking at night, I try to make sure I stay away from popular rods, typically sticking to my neighborhood and always have a large flashlight on hand. I have two dogs of my own so I have the experience with all different breeds and personality. ***If making a overnight house sitting request, I usually have to bring my two dogs*** I work full time from home but do have to go into the office some days for a few hours. My previous rescues, Bailey and Kira, passed away of old age and it took several years but in January of 2021 I adopted Sprinkles, a lab-hound mix who is approximately 2-ish years old and 50lbs. She gets along well with all dogs and loves to play! She can be rambunctious so if your dog is mellow, she will get on their nerves. I grew up with dobermans and I regularly watch my bff's 10lb small dog (and Sprinkles' friend) so I'm used to dogs both big and small. Nothing phases me - I can administer medication and subcutaneous fluids and can follow complicated feeding instructions - some of our furry friends are finicky! I love the bond formed when walking dogs - it's very special. My home is pet-friendly, with a small fenced-in backyard. Your dog will have a lovely time and I will be thrilled to take care of them! I am a realtor with a very flexible work schedule so there will be a lot of 1:1 time with your pet. We have sidewalks everywhere and a dog park within walking distance (only if you give the ok). I set an alarm and feed them breakfast and dinner consistently at the same time - it typically provides a calming effect when staying in a new place. I can let them out first AM in the backyard and after that it will be walks in and outside of Bermuda Bay, with lots of great sniffs!

I’m going to finish at COA then transfer to a university with a good vet tech program!! I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown more and more as I’ve gotten older. My mom has 9 cats a dog and a duck! I have a passion for understanding and learning about all different types of animals. I would love to meet with all of y’all before starting our sittings or walks. Just to better understand your pet and their needs plus getting to know you! Anytime I am not working at the shelter I would love to help as much of y’all with caring for your sweet animals as possible! About: I grew up taking care of cats and dogs. I was also a ranch hand in Colorado which taught me extensive knowledge of taking care of outdoor animals. I'm very comfortable giving medications! I'm currently working full time at a property management company and they are flexible with any of my scheduling needs. I'm available to ahere to strict schedules. I will not be available to house your pet in my home, my cat is not friendly with other animals. I can make as many visits or stay at your home as needed.
About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was 13. I used to volunteer at a humane society and now partake in “adopt a dog for a day” at our local shelter! It’s always such a great time and i’d love to give a hand to anyone who needs it with pet care. I’m currently working part time with a super flexible schedule and open to all sorts of activities! I do have transportation and can usually work my schedule around anything. I have lots of space for pups to run around and play. “Michelle took great care of our pup! We have a 16-month old lab-mix with medium/high energy, and she kept her safe, active, and entertained. She was also flexible with our travel schedule which was massively helpful. Much more reasonable/affordable rates compared to other Rovers in the area. No idea how people justify $75 - $100+ nightly rates; seems outrageous, IMO. Anyways, not much more you can ask for or expect! Great experience all around. Will not hesitate to book with her again if/when the need arises.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! About: Your animals will love coming back to me, I’ve grown up with dogs multiple from every breed cocker spaniel, dachshund, labs you name it I’ve had one and although we aren’t in a spot to have one of our own we love the idea of having there company around because they are a mans best friend. I’m in the military and have a weird schedule but I’m always home by 7pm and I’m available between 6am and 11am and even earlier if you really need me to be. I love animals as I said before and it would be my honor to watch your pet and I’ve watched pets for my co workers all the time... very active so your animal will be active too. Fenced yard and plenty of space for your pet to feel comfortable at home I’ll have full access throughout day, cozy warm setting, very laid back. About: I've been taking care of dogs my entire life. I have experience with large, medium, and small dogs. I have experience with rescues that have special needs, puppies, as well as senior care. I’m happy to specialize each experience for max comfort for your pup. I have a remote job and am flexible with scheduling around your pups needs. There are times when I am unavailable but I will always have any walks, visits or day cares scheduled accordingly . I have a corgi mix of my own that goes on walks and potty breaks at a regular schedule. I have a fenced yard and a friendly corgi mix to keep any pups company. I do not have a crate but if provide one I have no problem if that is better for your pup.
