“Autumn took such good care of our cat while we were away on vacation! Having her visit and check on our cat gave us such peace of mind while we were out of town. Highly recommend Autumn to care for your cat!”

About: I have a Lab/Golden Retriever mix, an Australian Shepherd, and two Ragdoll cats, so caring for animals is a big part of my everyday life. I have experience with both high-energy dogs and calm indoor cats, and I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and routines. I regularly go on runs and walks with my dogs and am comfortable handling energetic dogs that need extra exercise, structure, and attention. I also have experience with leash reactivity, which has taught me the importance of patience, awareness, and reading dog body language during walks and outings. I put a lot of attention, patience, and care into every animal I watch. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles, or just having a calm and steady presence nearby, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I treat every pet like they’re my own and provide dependable care, communication, and photo updates so owners can feel at ease while they’re away. I also appreciate knowing important information about your pet ahead of time, including routines, triggers, medical needs, and favorite activities, so I can provide the best care possible. I am not available for drop-in visits or walks on Wednesdays from 3 pm. to 11 pm. This summer, I have a very open and flexible schedule since I’m home from college and not currently working another job. That allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care during the weekdays. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, and I enjoy building pet care into my routine because spending time with animals is something I genuinely love. When caring for pets during drop-in visits or walks, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their usual routine. I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention and companionship during each visit. I always take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs, whether they are energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed. I also make sure owners stay updated with communication and photos so they can feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Lisa took excellent care of my cat Riley while I was out of town. She gave great updates at every visit and I could tell how relaxed and happy Riley was when I got home. I will definitely book with Lisa again!”

“Katie is so kind and caring! I have an extremely anxious dog and he always seems content and happy after hanging out with Katie. She communicates very well and sends pics without being asked to❤️”

“Erika is a wonderful cat sitter! She is very responsive, dependable and took great care of our cat. In addition to giving her love, food and cuddles, she also brushed her and scooper her litter. I will be booking with Erika again!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life and have 10 years of experience caring for pets of all breeds and sizes, from puppies to seniors, kittens to older cats. I'm available for drop-ins and walks on weekdays before 3pm and I'm happy to work around your schedule! I treat every pet's home like my own, with respect, care, and lots of love. I have 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds from small pups to large dogs, purebreds and mutts alike as well as cats of all ages. I am comfortable following your pet's established routine and home rules to keep them feeling safe and comfortable in their own environment. I have my own dog, Arnie, and cat, Frankie, so I truly understand how much your pets mean to you and I will treat them like family. About: I haven had dogs in my house and taken care of them since I was 7 years old. I've participated in training classes with my black lab as a puppy, as well as daily dog chores like walking, feeding, and brushing. I also have experience taking care of injured and elderly dogs. Along with caring for my own pets, I've also pet sat for neighbors and friends before. These visits included walks, play time, feeding, brushing, etc. This summer I have a part time nanny job, so I will have plenty of extra time to take care of your fur babies! I will be available weekdays after 4pm and all day on the weekends. I understand that dogs can be hesitant when stranger enter their home, but try to greet new pets slowly and friendly and give them all the sniffs they need.
“Courtney graciously agreed to care for my 2 cats and did a wonderful job. She was timely and followed my instructions. I appreciate the extra cleaning she did for me. I’m sure her in home care is very good too, nice family. I highly recommend Courtney!”

“Brittany was so amazing! She treated our kitty like her own and went above and beyond to clean his litter box, change the litter genie, give him lots of love and cuddles, and left the sweetest little notes everyday. We can't wait to book her again for our next trip, Sushi will miss her!”

“Amy was amazing. She took the time to do everything she could to ensure my dog was cared for safely and met the expectations of the visit. She is a great communicator with clear and concise messaging. She gave very detailed information about the visit - thank you!”

About: I’m an animal lover, and being away from my sister’s pup, I love to take care of animals whenever I can! I have taken care of a wide range of dogs including those needing oral medication, caring for dogs who are older, blind, and deaf. I have also dogsat for dogs on the other side of the spectrum that need multiple walks a day and are full of energy! I’m currently a full time student at CSU, so I would ideally love to hang with your pups on the weekends! I can also be available during the week, but I will be bouncing between class and ensuring your dog gets all the care they need. I grew up with a dog in the house who was a rescue pup and crate-trained! I prefer to be home as much as I can with clients’ dogs and taking them on runs or walks. I’m also totally down to relax with your pup (especially the older ones), really whatever they need!

“Madison did an excellent job with my dog, Simon. Her communication was fantastic and she did a great job sticking to Simon’s schedule. To top it off, I could tell Simon was well taken care of as he was a happy puppy when I got home. I highly reccomend Madison for any pet care needs!”

“Madelyn was wonderful with Lucy! She’s calm, thoughtful, and clearly experienced with timid cats. Lucy was well cared for, and communication was great throughout. We’d absolutely book Madelyn again and highly recommend her.”

About: Growing up, my parents frequently relied on me to take care of our rat terriers while they were at work - this includes feeding them, taking them out for potty breaks before/ after school, playing with them, etc. Because I’ve been around rat terriers I’m very familiarized with their personalities and high energy levels. I also have experience walking pitbulls and Great Pyrenees breeds, as my boyfriends parents used to own both breeds and I would walk them frequently (: - I also have experience with giving medications to dogs; one of my rat terriers has bad seasonal allergies and receives medication (a liquid) daily with his dinner. Another one of my rat terriers suffered from seizures and would have to receive medication with her food as well. I am comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and needs. I understand the importance of maintaining consistent routines and ensuring pets feel safe and cared for. I’m currently working a full time job, however I don’t start work until 2:45pm everyday (off days are Fridays and Saturdays). When I work Sunday-Thursday I’m available to drop in at least one early morning, I can do another drop in in the early afternoon, and another drop in when I get off if needed (I get off at 11pm). On my days off - Friday and Saturdays - I can do numerous drop ins throughout the day. Anytime between early morning to late night. I have two cats of my own. Both are tabby cats, but they have very different personalities. Bean, who is an orange long haired cat, is very skittish, loves to play, enjoys pets but hates being picked up. While Franklin, is a grey short hair, loves cuddles, being next to his people, and would rather play with Bean than his humans. We got Franklin when he was 8 weeks old from my boyfriend’s brother and we fostered then adopted Bean when he was 12 weeks old (about 6 months after getting Franklin). We discovered Franklin loves going outside, so we bought him a cat harness and leash and frequently take him on walks (: Bean is too skittish for this, but he loves to play inside with toy mice and springs (ESPECIALLY springs, those are his favorite 😅)
About: I absolutely love dogs, grew up with a Shih Tzu Poodle and now my mom has a pure bred Shih Tzu that I steal from time to time (see picture). My boyfriend’s family has an English setter and a blue healer, so I love hunting/high energy dogs as well! I do work in office Mondays, Wednesdays and some Fridays which is about an hour commute. I am usually gone from 7:30-5 ish, so dogs who can be alone for that long work out well. I work fully from home Tuesdays and Thursdays so I can let them out whenever on those days. I live in a 2,200 sq ft town home, and a half fenced in yard. Just me and my boyfriend live here so no kids or other animals will be around. We do allow dogs on the furniture and they can sleep with us if they’d like, we like to snuggle

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
