About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My dream has always been to open a rescue of my own one day! I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from Yorkies to Dobermans. I’ve owned my GSP who stays at my moms house, since she was a puppy and house-trained her myself, so I’m experienced with the patience, consistency, and care that puppies require. I also help care for my mom’s 12-year-old dog, which has given me experience caring for older dogs as well. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I truly treat every pet like family. I am currently in college and not working so i have plenty of time to care for your pups! I am available Mondays and Wednesdays after 10:45 and Tuesdays and Thursdays after 2:15! My weekends are clear! I am very responsible and will make sure that your fur baby is loved, fed, has water, and has plenty of exercise and play time! I love all animals and take very good care of my pets and others!

About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and I've spent decades caring for them through virtually every stage of life—from energetic puppies learning their first routines to senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra patience and a little more help getting through their day. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels, including my own dogs and those of friends and family. I'm comfortable with puppies and the additional supervision, consistency and frequent potty breaks they require, as well as older dogs who may need shorter walks, more rest, mobility accommodations or simply a quieter environment. I also have experience caring for dogs with medical conditions and special needs, including following an owner's established care instructions and medication schedule. I understand that these dogs may require closer observation and that even small changes in behavior, appetite, mobility or energy can be important. I take that responsibility seriously and will always follow the care routine you provide for your dog. I've spent years working with my own dogs on basic obedience and good manners and have helped friends and family with their dogs as well. I'm comfortable reinforcing established commands and routines such as sit, stay, come, wait, leave it and polite household behavior. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, I'm patient and consistent and enjoy reinforcing the good habits owners are already teaching at home. I'm retired and home much of the time, which allows me to provide something that's difficult to replicate in a traditional boarding environment: time, attention and companionship. I intentionally keep my boarding low-volume so that the dogs staying with me receive individual attention rather than becoming one of many animals in a busy facility. And then there's the setting. The Happy Acre — Private Dog Retreat offers approximately one acre of private outdoor space where dogs can run, play and explore, along with a comfortable home environment where they can relax and be part of the household. My goal is simple: when you're away, I want your dog to receive the same kind of attentive, loving care I'd want someone to provide for my own dogs. I'm retired and spend much of my time at home, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. Unlike a sitter who may be away at work for eight or ten hours, I'm generally available throughout the day for outdoor play, potty breaks, feeding, companionship and individual attention. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to each dog's normal routine as much as possible. I also intentionally limit the number of dogs I accept so that every guest receives plenty of my time and attention. At The Happy Acre — Private Dog Retreat, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable home-away-from-home where every dog receives individual attention and is treated as part of the household. My spacious backyard is fully enclosed by a secure 6-to-8-foot privacy fence, giving dogs plenty of room to run, sniff, explore and play safely. A doggie door provides direct access from the house to the backyard, so my furry guests can go outside for a potty break, stretch their legs or simply enjoy some fresh air whenever they choose. I'm home much of the time and stay nearby to supervise and join in the fun—because playing with dogs is genuinely one of the great joys in my life. I intentionally keep my boarding low-volume so I can closely supervise the dogs in my care and give each one plenty of personal attention. I prefer to meet new dogs beforehand whenever possible to make sure they're comfortable with me, my home and my own dogs before their first overnight stay. Every dog is different, so I follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, medications, sleeping arrangements, exercise and established routines. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy level and overall well-being throughout their stay. Nothing is more important to me than their safety, comfort and happiness while they're in my care. Whether your dog wants to spend the day running and playing outside, relaxing indoors, following me around the house or cuddling by my side, I want The Happy Acre to feel less like boarding and more like their own private country retreat. About: I am an experienced pet sitter who has been actively caring for pets on Rover for the last 2 years. I am local to all of St. Tammany and am available to Mandeville, Covington, Abita Springs, Madisonville, and Ponchatoula. Over the last 20 years, I have cared for many different breeds and ages. I have also fostered animals from the humane society in the past. I am very loving and nurturing and will give the pets all the care they need. I have a lot of availability and am very reliable. If you need me at the last minute, I can most likely be available with no problem. I also work from home so can be with the pets 24/7! I work from home so am available most of the time. I can take many breaks throughout the day to walk and care for pets as needed. I have two friendly ragdoll cats who will keep your fur baby company. I also live in a very safe neighborhood and community. I will always keep an eye on the animal to make sure they are safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve grown up around multiple pets my whole life and truly love being around animals. Some people even call me the “pet whisperer” because I’m very patient and naturally connect well with pets. I enjoy walks, playtime, cuddles, and making animals feel as comfortable and loved as possible. I’m also good with shy, picky, sick, senior, or stubborn pets and understand that every pet deserves personalized care and attention. I work from home most of the week and off on the weekends which gives me plenty of time for pet care in my weekly routine. If I will be pet sitting, I will be in your home- keeping things clean & respectful of your things, while providing safety and comfort to your pets. If you are having your pet stay with me, they will have plenty of cuddles, treats, and kisses! While also being in a clean environment and having a large fenced in yard to sniff around and run in.

About: I have been around many different kinds of animals. Family and friends have always been able to rely on me to take care of the animals with my who heart and soul. I work full time now from 8-5 M-F. Weekends I’m available and work close to home. I’m apart of the army national guard so some weekends I will not be available. Within my clients home their animals will be given the best belly rubs and pets I can give. I will do everything with the best of my ability.

About: I have been raising and caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. From birthing puppies to senior dog care. Who doesn’t love a furry friend! I am a teacher who is off for summer break and would love to fill my summer free time helping your special furry family members! I am currently living in an apartment living so I understand the need for dog walks. I will visit and provide lots of love and attention.

About: I love being engaged and active with each and every fur baby I’m blessed to watch. I love seeing their individual personalities blossom and grow! I can travel if needed. I create my schedule around my clients wants and needs. I try my best to be as flexible as possible because life happens to all of us. I am very willing to travel beyond the 60 mile radius allowed. I make sure to stay on any established schedule they may have and make sure that each and every one has the love and affection they so deserve.

About: I’ve been fostering and volunteering with dogs for years, so I’m comfortable with all kinds. I really enjoy training too, whether it’s playing ball, doing some basic obedience work, or just sitting and creating a relaxed state of mind. I’m good at reading cues and making sure the dogs feel safe while they’re with me. Options include field play time, scent games, recall work, and a slat-mill for burning energy inside during the hottest months. I am certified by Animal Behavior College and have been training at Larry Benoit's facility for about 6 months. I care for all of the dogs just like my own! I have many dogs here and allow friends to play. I can also crate and rotate if you're not sure your dog will get along with others. When we train, we focus one on one!
