“Dylan was very thorough and had a list of prepared questions showing she is an experienced sitter. She took excellent care of our kitties. They are very shy since they are rescues, and only really feel comfortable around us. She respected their boundaries extremely well. We highly recommend her as a sitter.”

About: I love to walk and spend time with pets, they are the best companions. Going for walks with my pet is a joy. I love to play with them and making shure that they have all their needs met. I start my day walking with my pet. When I am home I like to play with them in my fenced back yard. At the end of the day we always go for another walk to the park. I take the pets outside as soon as we wake up. I make sure that they always have access to food and water. Then we go for a nice walk and play.

“Kathy was PHENOMENAL! It was our first time hiring a sitter and we weren't sure what to expect. She turned out to be much more than that. She was a life saver! We had complete piece of mind during our trip knowing that our furbabies were well taken care of.”

“Suzanne was wonderful with our pups! Sent pics and was very communicative. Our younger puppy was very calm when we returned for the day (which is rare!) and we’re thankful to Suzanne for giving some love to both of our dogs while we were out. Will definitely rebook!”

“Marin was amazing with my cat Poe! This was my first time leaving him alone and I was worried about him, but she left very detailed notes about each visit and made sure to send me pictures along the way which made me feel so much better! He usually is a bit skittish with new people, but he seemed to get comfortable with her very quickly. Will definitely book with her again :)”

About: Hi, I’m Christina! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover and professional pet groomer with 7+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’ve worked with everything from tiny pups to giant breeds, and I’m comfortable with nervous, energetic, senior, and extra-spoiled pets too! Your pets aren’t just “pets” to me—they’re family. ❤️ I believe every dog deserves patience, kindness, attention, and plenty of love while their humans are away. With my professional animal-care background, you can feel confident knowing your pup is in experienced and caring hands. I’ll keep you updated with pictures, plenty of attention, and all the belly rubs they’ll allow. 🐶🐾 I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your pets and become someone you can trust whenever you need a helping hand! About: I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember, from small dogs and big dogs to cats, snakes, lizards, and more. There’s truly no kind of animal I don’t love. In high school, I regularly cared for my neighbors’ dogs and cats, which helped me build a strong foundation in pet sitting and responsibility. I volunteered at my local animal shelter for four years, and later continued volunteering at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri during my undergraduate studies. I also spent time working in the veterinary clinic there, which gave me hands-on experience with animal care and a deeper understanding of health and safety needs. I currently have two cats of my own that I absolutely adore, including a senior cat who is diabetic. Managing their care has made me very attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with administering medications, monitoring behavior, and following specific care routines. I work professionally in a detail-driven field, so you can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and organized. Whether your pet needs extra attention, medication, or just lots of love, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. Since I work remotely from home, pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, regular check-ins, and a flexible schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I’m able to accommodate feeding schedules, medication timing, potty breaks, and playtime without issue. Whether your pet needs frequent care, a structured routine, or just some extra companionship during the day, I can easily adjust my schedule to ensure they’re well taken care of. Because I’m not rushing in and out for a traditional 9–5, your pet will have plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm, stable environment. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. In my home, my cats are incredibly well loved and cared for. Like most cat households, they definitely run the show, but I make sure their environment is clean, safe, and enriched with plenty of playtime and attention. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision and a calm, low-stress environment. I’m very attentive to routines and will follow your instructions closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, exercise, or specific behavioral needs. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, so I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for any changes. In a client’s home, I treat your space and your pet with the same level of respect and care. I make sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment while keeping things clean, secure, and consistent with their normal routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, medication, or just lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and well cared for every step of the way.

About: Growing up we've always had dogs, even if theyre not so big. I've always loved taking them on walks, playing with them and giving them tons of attention. Family members know their loved ones are in good hands when they need someone to watch them. I do currently work full time. But am more than willing to try to squeeze something in before I go to work at 8, and most of my afternoons are wide open after 5 I always try to be respectful of other people's property. Personally I dont have a fence so lots of experience keeping an eye on my pups while we're playing in the yard.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
