About: Hi! My name is Annalise, and I have been pet sitting since high school, for about six years now. Ever since then, it feels like I’ve found my passion. I’m a student at JMU, and a proud cat mom (the tabby)! Adopting my baby boy Alex soon (the first dog), who I’ve been working on socializing to people. My favorite past time is going to the park with Alex and taking him on walks around people, all at his own speed. I know how important it is to take care of an animal according to their comfortability. I’m willing to put in the work, and I can’t think of a better reward than the love of an animal. If you give me the honor to look after your babies, I promise I’ll care for them fiercely. I do this because I love it, and it makes me happy; please reach out to me if you need a hand, I’d be more than happy to give it!! I have a part time job and am a full time student, but I am more than willing to work around your pets schedule. Your pet’s care is my priority, and I wouldn’t accept a job if I didn’t believe I could give them 110% of my attention and affection. I would take your pets on walks, cuddle them, and overall ensure they’re being cared for to the best of my ability. I would also get to know them well so I could easily assess if any behaviors are out of the ordinary.

About: I grew up working alongside my grandparents who were very big into rescuing and fostering animals in need. I have plenty of experience in medicating animals (even the feisty ones) and am always up for a little challenge. I currently have open availability throughout the week and can do overnights! I’d be more than happy to come to you, or your fur baby is more than welcome to stay here, whatever makes you most comfortable! My soul focus would be to make sure that your pet felt loved and safe while you’re away. There are currently no pets in my home so your baby would get my full attention and there’s a lovely park just behind my neighborhood with plenty of space to run, walk and play

About: I’ve had pets my whole life growing up, from all sizes and ages. I currently have an 80 lb German Shepard-Lab-retriever mix, and a 4 week old kitten. I’ve had adult cats, puppies, and fostered.I am happy to take your dog on a walk, play, brush them, treat train, etc. I am also more than happy to do little tasks to help you out if you’re out of town such as grabbing the mail or watering plants! I am currenlty a full time student in college but I have a lot of free time during the days to do drop by’s and walks because I have a few hours between my classes. I can take dogs on walks, let them outside and bring them back in, crate, give treats with commands, etc. Whatever you need! And lots of pets.

About: I spent a lot of time with pets( mostly dogs) from taking care of close friends pets. With dogs I found better ways to behave them when they were with me, and considering I would take care of them a lot I managed to teach them tricks. I love spending time with animals of any kind. I had a cat when I was 13 and it was tricky because I got Lenny as an adult I would say. I learned how to manage litter boxes and the right food for both cat and dog. I do a lot of research when it comes to food so I know they have the right nutritions and I’m also skeptical when if comes or bagged food, so I do make my Own at times. I own 2 dogs now, one is a puppy and the other about a year and a half old. I’m also trying to save to go into MTC to study as a veterinarian to spend more time with animals. Taking care of pets fits in just perfectly. I currently have a part time job, but doing pet care on the side definitely helps balance my routine out and get some fresh air from working. In both client/my home, since I’m an early bird, I take them on walks to get them moving and give them time to potty, as I do with my dogs as well. I give them water and food, of course this varies on any directions given by the owner. They do get a lot of playtime and treats for good behavior. I make sure to let them potty at least every 2-3 hours out of habit from my pets.

About: First of all, my name is Toni. Rover will only accept legally changed names, and I haven’t gotten there yet. But I’m Toni M. and I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness and autism. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. I’ve spent significant time with dogs with anxiety issues as well. I tend to connect with dogs who need a little extra love the most anyway. If at all possible I prefer boarding as transitions can be a challenge but I’m usually up for anything the pet needs to feel safe and secure and do a lot of house sitting, too and am more than willing too. I try to keep all homes clean and tidy for the owner’s return. My own home is small, only two usable rooms, but has a large wooded yard and perfect spots for beautiful walks, or throwing a ball and playing fetch in our secluded field if the dog is not an eloper. My dog loved living in this home before he passed as it is quiet and peaceful, and playing ball was his favorite thing in the world. Hit me up if you need some help, as I’m quite passionate about this work and want to be of service. :) ✨ When a pet stays with me we have a routine. Coffee (for me), breakfast, walk. And in the evenings we eat, play, have downtime. I guarantee an hour of exercise a day for your pet as well. I always appreciate a crate just in case but that doesn’t mean I’ll use it. My home is small so if your dog is a big chewer it might not be the perfect fit for boarding unless a crate is available. I’m home almost all day and can monitor animals closely and give plenty of love. I like to play outside with the animals twice a day. Water bowel is always filled and animals are always welcome on my furniture. They’re free to make themselves at home.

My Experience: I cared for my own dog, Kirby, for 12 years, taking care of his daily walks, meals, playtime, and everything else that came with being a pet parent. He passed away in 2024, and caring for other people’s pets has been a wonderful way for me to keep animals in my life. About: I am a social worker by trade, and currently I am professor at two local colleges. I also write books and and do photography. I specialize in social psychology and I am intuitive to human and animal needs. As mentioned, I am an adjunct professor, write, and do photography. As such I have free time to care for your pet daily and at various times. I have always cared for my pets like family (and some may argue a little better, lol). I have a SUV and know different locations to walk your pet, or I can walk them locally. I also love cats and can spend time in your home playing with with them and the infamous red dot or other toys. I am also familiar with all types of animals and can care for your farm animals and other in door animals.

About: I've lived with cats and dogs my entire life. I've worked on Rover through my mom's account since 2020. I have experience in cats and dogs doing walkings, check ins, and overnights. When I am not at college, it's my responsibility to feed and take out our dogs and cats.Just hanging out with them everyday is something I do as well. When doing overnights or check ins I make sure I respect the rules placed by the homeowners. If the animals are scared or nervous, I'll tend to give them space when it's needed.
