“Fantastic Family and care. My baby loved it and wasn't excited about going home which is a great sign of top care. Appreciate the love and care she got while we were gone. 100% recommend and we will use them again.”

“Britney and her family took such excellent care of our dog! They were attentive & responsive and sent us many photos and updates throughout the week. I know my dog enjoyed his time with them. We look forward to rover-ing with them again (and again)!”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“Cristina is the best sitter. She genuinely cares about Bentley as if he was hers. She spoils him and he loves it. I don't have to worry about his wellbeing after I drop him off. Thank you Cristina.”

“Our dog Tulla had a great time at Ben's house and playing with his dog. They have a nice backyard for outside play. Ben was very responsive to our questions and sent us pictures and updates. Ben was very accommodating and flexible with the drop off and pick up times, which made our time away stress free.”

“Julie and her family are a perfect fit for my cat. He immediately went to exploring his area. Julie was always in contact and sent the best pictures. It shows she truly loves fur babies. Scar was so happy there. He loved his stay. I will absolutely use Julie again.”

“Christina and Ricky’s home has become Jasper’s home away from home. Anytime I mention their name, he gets exited! During our meet and greet, my baby naturally gravitated towards them which let me know this was going to be a great match. Christina is reliable, flexible and communicates well by keeping me updated with the visit. We will continue to use her in the future!”

“We were so happy to have Jessica take care of our little dog. She is so sweet and gentle with her. Winnie took to her immediately. It was a long stay of eight nights and Jessica made us feel confident that Winnie was being well taken care of. We appreciated everything she did for Winnie and wouldn't hesitate to rebook with her again in the future.”

“Left our two large and active dogs with Garrett for a week while we went on vacation! They had the best time, we got pictures and updates everyday, and picked up clean dogs that were absolutely exhausted! We will definitely be looking to board with Garrett in the future!”

About: Hello! My name is Alex and I have had a dog (or two) my entire life. Right now, Hank is my main man. He's a boxer mix I rescued in Albuquerque, NM in 2022. We think he's 5 or 6, so let's go with 5! I love all animals and I love being active so your pet is sure to have the best walk and/or playtime hanging with me. I'm a very reliable, attentive, and trustworthy person and pet owner and I promise to make your life (and your pet's) all the easier by taking the stress out of being away from home. I currently work from home so I can give your pet all the time and attention they deserve. I promise your pet will return safe, happy, and ready to play with me again :) I am available every day of the week, with the majority of my time spent at home and around my neighborhood. I drop my children off in the mornings to either camp or school, and do pick up in the afternoons. As long as I can work around those pick ups and drop offs, I'm available! I have a fully fenced yard and a large, pet-friendly house (non-smoking). I have a neutered boxer mix named Hank who we rescued back in 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Hank is very friendly, energetic, and curious and always enjoys playing with a new friend.
“Madi and her family were so welcoming and loving to my girls. They provided peace of mind and were accommodating to our extra needs due to being stuck out of town longer than anticipated. She sent multiple daily updates with photos showing me they were in the best of care. My girls experienced so many cuddles, walks, and a lot of playtime…they may have even been reluctant to leave Madi’s home! The communication was beyond excellent and I for sure trust her with my dogs again! 🐾🩷💕”

Michelle was wonderful! I was nervous about leaving a puppy under 5 months old for the first time but it turned out I had no reason to worry. Michelle understood that it can be stressful and she was so reassuring and loving. She sent pictures and videos every day. Every day! I knew my puppy was having a great time and my only concern was that he might not want to come home! You can tell how much Michelle cares about the dogs, hers and the ones she is boarding.
Nicole was amazing! I know I have a high maintenance dog because of the breed, him not being neutered and trying to mark everywhere, and having a very anxious and very attached kind of personality. I left a very detailed and lengthy message for her prior to dropping my little man off about everything I could think of that might make the experience easier for both of them. And not only did she adhere to everything I asked her to do, but she exceeded well above my expectations of what my idea of a sitter should do and be! I also would like to mention that the day I was supposed to drop my pup off, we were dealing with a severe ice storm that had made the roads very treacherous and businesses close. It was a nightmare getting my rental car and my drop off times continued to change because of it. Nicole very easily could have canceled on me or told me to take a hike. Instead, she put my mind at ease and told me to just get there when I got there, and safely. She is super flexible and easy going and I could not ask for a better person to take care of what I consider as a family member! She updated my fiance and I often with pictures, and even introduced our little man to a dog park- something I was always nervous about doing because of his adhd and inability to stay focused very long on certain things. She also was very flexible with my pickup time as I was driving back from a 10-hour trip and was unsure of my arrival time. I look forward to booking future stays with Nicole! Y'all are crazy if you book anybody else!

Regan was wonderful with our dog, Paisley! She was incredibly accommodating to Paisley’s needs and kept us in the loop with daily updates and photos, which we really appreciated. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt confident knowing Paisley was in great hands. We’d definitely book with Regan again.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
