Daily care includes plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and calm periods for rest. We are outside several times a day for 1-2 hours depending on the weather. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment and follow any special care instructions you provide closely. My goal is to make sure your furry friend feels secure, loved, and right at home while you’re away!

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is the level of care, attentiveness, and protection I provide to every dog as if they were my own. I have experience working with young puppies who need patience, structure, and consistency with basic training and routines, as well as senior dogs who require gentle handling, medication management, and close monitoring. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially as an incoming medical student with a flexible study schedule. While my classes are structured, I have built-in breaks throughout the day that allow me to step away, reset, and give pets the attention they need. Studying also provides flexibility, since I can organize my time around walks, feeding schedules, play sessions, and check-ins. I value balance and know how important movement and fresh air are, so taking a dog out for a walk or spending time engaging with them fits seamlessly into my day. When I’m studying, pets stay in a safe, calm environment where they can relax comfortably nearby. Being in a rigorous academic program has strengthened my time management skills, responsibility, and attentiveness — qualities that directly translate into providing reliable, consistent, and safe care for every dog I look after. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm, and secure environment with constant supervision, scheduled walks, and plenty of attention. I maintain consistent routines for feeding, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all provided instructions, respect the space, and keep pets on their normal schedule to ensure stability. I’m attentive to behavior changes, mindful of surroundings on walks, and proactive about preventing any safety risks, so owners can feel confident their pets are protected and well cared for.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. I understand that every dog has a different personality, routine, and comfort level, and I always try to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so your pets will be cared for like they’re my own. I’m currently in nursing school, but my summer schedule is very manageable and gives me plenty of flexibility for pet sitting. I only have class Monday and Tuesday mornings and Fridays during the day, so I’m very available throughout the rest of the week for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and spending quality time with pets. Outside of class, most of my time is spent studying or doing homework, which allows me to have a flexible routine and dedicate a lot of attention and care to the pets I’m watching. I will offer both drop-in visits and overnight stays in my clients’ homes to help pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while their owners are away. Since I have a very flexible schedule, I’m able to spend plenty of quality time with your pets rather than just stopping by quickly. I truly enjoy caring for animals and will make sure they receive lots of attention, playtime, love, and consistent care so they feel safe and comfortable in their normal environment.

About: I’ve always said that my dream job would be walking dogs and also volunteering at a dog shelter. Welp, after a move I’m semi-retired with a flexible work from home business and need to keep busy. I love dogs and have two of my own. Jennifurkey is a 2 year old papillon we got from the pound. She was 3mo old and her former owner got arrested for DUI and she went to puppy jail (the pound) and was never claimed. She has never felt unwanted since! Her older brother Me-Lo YoPupawitz, Attorney at Paw (chihuahua 11yo) is her parter in crime! They are inseparable. Over the years we have had a mix of dogs and are huge dog lovers. We have had everything from a 3mo old pound puppy to a diabetic rescue dog that was used as a breeder for 7 years with spinal problems that was kept in a kennel for those 7 years… and our last dog who made it to 17 years old with hearing, vision, and other ailments that required special food and medication. If you can’t tell, I am very experienced in a magnitude of dog care and will treat your dogs as if they were my own! I always have a bit of squee when I see cute puppies (all dogs are puppies lol) in public. I am somewhat retired. Recently moved to Granite City from California. I am regularly in Metro East and St. Louis. I don’t mind travel within 15 miles or so. I mostly work remotely from home and generally have a flexible schedule. I am available for one-offs if you’re busy or traveling or ongoing while you’re at work! We live out in the country off a gravel road, yet only 6 miles from downtown St. Louis! We are on half an acre with a fenced in yard. We currently have 2 small dogs. Jennifurkey is a 3yo papillon who is a ball of love and energy. She loves to play and run around in the yard. Me-Lo YoPupawitz, Attorney at Paw is a 11 year old chihuahua who is slow to trust but once he likes you or another dog, will be best friends. We regularly treat our yard with pet safe pesticides for flea, tick, and other unwanted critters. We actively grow lavender, lemongrass, and French marigolds as all-natural pest repellent. Also we walk the perimeter daily to ensure no pup is digging an escape tunnel lol In your home I will ensure that your babies routine remain as close to normal as possible. They can be kenneled at night or if house sitting they can sleep wherever they are used to. They are already stressed missing you, why make it any harder. As long as you have WiFi, I can work and take care of your babies. I am experienced in administering basic medicines and possibly insulin, depending on how used to or your baby is.

About: I have worked at an animal hospital as well as a pet boarding facility. I absolutely adore animals but dogs are my favorite. I have handled all kinds of breeds, sizes, temperaments, etc. I know what to do in most emergency situations and have used my knowledge in both of my roles. I work 8-5 Mon-Friday. I do have an hour for lunch so I would be available to drop in to check on your pup! I am available by all means outside of those hours! I love each dog like my own, making sure to provide lots of love and attention like they deserve. I am able to follow any feeding schedule and try my best to stay on your dogs routine to make them feel as comfortable as possible while their human is gone!
