“Shannon was absolutely incredible!! My senior toy poodle loved staying with her and even made some new friends. She was great and sent updates with pictures every few days so I got to see how he was doing. We will definitely be coming back!”

“I felt like my fur babies had a great vacation where they were welcomed into the family. I love that the sitter worked from home so that my dogs could go outside anytime they needed. I felt my pets were safe and well taken care of with the sitter.”

“Jamie and Aaron are awesome! They offered a meet-and-greet a few days before our pup's visit, giving us a chance to meet them, their two dogs, and cats. From the moment you meet them, you can tell they really love animals and want to make each of their "guests" feel safe and at home. In fact, I think Row felt so at home at Jamie and Aaron's, he would have been happy to move in! Jamie kept us updated and sent pictures and videos throughout our trip - it was so fun to see him playing with their pups and snuggling in with them on the couch. We'll gladly book another stay with Jamie and Aaron!”

“If you want your pet to be spoiled and catered to while you’re away, I highly recommend Nana! She was fantastic with providing care and updates.”

“Book with Tina & Bob! This was our first time using rover for our senior cockapoo. She stayed multiple nights with Tina & Bob and they treated her like their own. Their house was beautiful and Grace had the perfect setup. They took such care to the smallest details and kept us informed. They are genuine, good people that are a hidden gem on this app. They are true animal lovers that will love your dog like family. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks Tina & Bob!!”

“Highly recommend! Our shih tzu is adopted from a puppy mill and is a little quirky. He loved Mary and we could tell she took the time to get to know him and make him comfortable! Charlie had a great vacation at Mary’s!”

“Leah did a fantastic job all around. She was very warm and responsive when I first booked my appointment. Met Sam and I outside so he could get to know her. Let me in so I could see how he'd be staying and meet her dog. She answered all my questions and sent messages and photos during his stay. I highly recommend booking with her, and will do so again myself in the future. :)”

“Kelly is wonderful! I appreciate all the pictures and updates I get while she is watching my pup! She is very kind and treats my dog like she is part of their family.”

“Wonderful experience with Nicole. She was very communicative and helped us out on fairly short notice over a holiday weekend. All three of our dogs were happy and seemed to have had made themselves right at home when we arrived for pickup. Thanks Nicole!”

“Ebony is great! I was so nervous leaving Blu for the first time..I got to rest comfortably knowing Blu was in good hands! Ms. Ebony sent plenty of pictures of Blu having a blast! He didn’t want to leave lol I’ll definitely be booking again! Thank you again Ebony!”

“Excellent pet sitter! She boarded our puppy for two nights and took great care of her. Our puppy came home happy, healthy, and well-loved. Great communication and a caring environment. Highly recommend!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with animals. Growing up by a dirt road in Alabama ,I always made sure to care for and find homes for them while also having our own, I’ve taken college corses on training dogs although didn’t finish due to becoming a mother. We have a large backyard fenced, covered& partly enclosed patio & love to give. Animals are truly a wonderful being to have around and I want to teach my children the importance of them. I’ve watched big dogs & small dogs although starting off with this app I’m looking to watch small dogs. I take my oldest son to library, we can spend anywhere between 1-4 hours there & I pick up my youngest from his program at 3pm (right down the road) other than weekly/biweekly grocery/shopping trips, I’m at the house. We treat your dog like our family so that means ofc they are allowed on the couch and we have a fenced in back yard & covered patio while we love to spend time outside so you can be assured majority of the time we will be right there beside em. I do have a cat who spends majority of the time in our bedroom.
“Sarah opened her home to my girls and made them comfortable. They usually go to their granny's but all were going on this trip, so it was a very big deal for them to stay elsewhere. They played, walked, rested, and probably were questioning coming home, they were given so much attention. Sarah shared photos and even with a snowstorm ensured they were safe and had fun. I was very pleased. We will call upon sarah again!”

“She was amazing with my fur baby! They connected instantly and she made sure to send me updates which was helpful and greatly appreciated. I will definitely book with them again in the future 🩵”

“Madeline did a wonderful job caring for our dog! She gave us frequent updates how out pet was doing, and sent cute photos! They went on nice walks together, and I could tell our pup was happy!”

“Tre'Ana is a great sitter and I will definitely use her services again. When I dropped him off her daughter wanted to play with soon as I got in the house lol. I appreciate when the family loves on Tyson just as much as I do. Thank you so much!”

“Reba treated Liberty just like her own. She sent pictures and updated how she was doing frequently. I’d ask Reba to watch Libs again in a heartbeat, knowing she was in great hands.”

About: Hi, I’m Maddie! 🐾 I’ve had cats and dogs in my life since I was a baby — from tiny Pomeranians to big, lovable German Shepherds. Over the years, I’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors (both dogs and cats!) and love giving pets the care, walks, and attention they deserve. I’m currently a medical resident, which means my schedule shifts weekly — but that actually gives me the flexibility to help care for your pets when you need it most. You can count on me to be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy (I take caring for your furry family members as seriously as I do my patients!). Whether it’s long walks, playtime, snuggles, or just keeping your pets company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. 🐶🐱💛 As a medical resident, my schedule changes week to week, but I have flexibility for daytime, evening, and some weekend visits to fit your pet’s needs. I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with my own small dog. There’s plenty of room for play indoors, and I have safe, walkable areas nearby for exercise and potty breaks. While I don’t have a yard, I make sure dogs get plenty of fresh air and supervised outdoor time. I can also crate pets upon request to match their routine and keep them comfortable.

“Francie has watched Willow twice now and is our go-to dog sitter! She is kind, caring, and stays in touch every day with updates and pictures. We appreciate Francie and all that she does!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
