“What we most loved about Hailey was how quickly our animals took to her — our dogs were leaning against her within minutes, and even the cats who hide came out and let her pet them the very first night! It was comforting to leave our pets in the care of someone who clearly loves and understands animals. And though we ended up rushed and didn't have as much time as I wanted to orient her, she perfectly remembered and followed all instructions. We've already booked her again.”

“Molly was conscientious and very communicative. She followed our instructions for administering medication to our elderly dog Ben. Molly sent us photos of Ben while we were away. She left the house neat and clean.”

“Elaina was amazing and took great care of our elderly pups. She checked in and sent some pictures throughout the week and we knew they were both happy and content. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“Hannah and Naomi were wonderful! I would use them again and recommend to anyone! They are very thorough and responsive. I felt very comfortable having them in our house, dog sitting for a weekend. I appreciated knowing our dog was being cared for in his own environment! Thank you Hannah & Naomi!”

“Hayley was great with our dogs1 She gave them so much attention and played ball with our Stella all the time. She provides regular updates and photos so you know your pets are being well taken care of.”

“DEFINITELY A STAR SITTER!!! Kasandra was phenomenal! She came to my home and sat for my dog--and agreed to take on a friend's dog, in a late edition, after she had already agreed to sit for my dog. The dogs were well taken care of, walked, given lots of attention. By all indications (daily updates and photos), they both really enjoyed her. I will absolutely request Kasandra again! I just hope she's not so busy that she's booked.😁”

About: I have been working with animals for the last ten years. Started working in dog daycares and moved my way up to vet medicine where i now am a vet technician. I am patient and understanding to all pets personalities and ages. I am currently working 3 days a week on a specialty service at a veterinary hospital. My weekends are typically free and I would love to fill the time with your furry loved ones. Will be very respectful of your home and make giving your sweet boy or girl my devoted attention. “Beatrice was communicative and did a great job keeping my dog company while we were away. She has experience and seems well equipped to handle a range of situations. Would book her again in the future!”

“Jaime was wonderful with my Tucker! I immediately felt comfortable during our meet n'greet, while she remained communicative throughout my entire trip and sent pictures of my happy guy. I would love to have Jaime watch Tucker again when I go away!”

“Sophie stayed with our Border Collie and 2 cats while we were gone and she was truly wonderful. She gave our pup good long walks and her calm presence even managed to coax our very skittish cat to come out of hiding. She sent lots of pictures and updates, which we really appreciated. We don't leave the animals often, so when we do, it's very comforting to know that they're in good hands. She also left the house in perfect shape. We highly recommend Sophie!”

“Our dog Roxy loved Sienna! We were in from out of town for graduation and Sienna did a great job taking care of our fur baby. She was a happy girl when we got back. We highly reccomend !”

About: I grew up in rural Virginia, in a county bordering Shenandoah National Park. That area of Virginia is primarily known as being the horse capital of the country, and like every little girl, I fell in love with horses. In order to afford riding, I’d often trade farm work for time in the saddle; and so, I grew up surrounded by creatures great and small. Not only was I responsible for taking care of my family’s personal dogs and cats, but also the farm animals (in particular, 15+ horses at a time, farm dogs, and barn cats). My unique upbringing with horses and other animals has made me a versatile house sitter. Since I was 16 (5 years ago!), I have consistently been house sitting for families with dogs, cats, and horses. Moving to Burlington has brought me away from animals, as it is hard (nearly impossible) to care for a pet while being a full time student living in an apartment. Thus, I’ve joined rover in hopes of reconnecting with my four legged friends. I am happy to help care for your pets in whatever way you see fit! I love running, walking, hiking, or simply lounging, and am flexible to your pet’s needs. As an animal lover myself, I am committed to making sure your pet is happy and healthy! I work as a barista 4 days a week from roughly 7 or 9am (depending on my shift) to 3 or 5pm. My work schedule is usually planned a month in advance and any days that I am not working at the cafe I am available for dog walking or house sitting duties. In my free time, you can find me running, working out, reading, or painting. If your dog is an active creature, I would love to take them on runs or walks! If not, I am more that happy to care for them and keep them company while you’re away! I am not able to keep your pet at my apartment for extended periods of time due to my living situation with four roommates. However, I am more than happy to take them on adventures or visit your home to care for your pets!
“My babies are everything to me. We hardly travel without them because we haven’t found anyone yet who can or is willing to care for them in a way that I’m content with. Enter Laura. Laura proves her trustworthiness by her excellent care and communication before booking. She is very competent regarding what I feel to be more complex pup situations. Added bonus, she is active and is able to give my high energy pups a good amount of exercise. My partner and I were able to have a fantastic time away without any worries. I am thrilled with Laura, and hope she is interested in working with us again!”

“Jess watched our dog and cat for the first time over the weekend. She let us know when she arrived and sent a photo. She was responsive to our texts so we felt comfortable being away.”
