As an active outdoor-loving dog who needs a good run in the woods every day before snoring on her dog bed at night, she wouldn’t do well in a typical kennel situation. Luckily I found Laura! She makes sure my dog gets in a good run, eats her dinner, and plays well with others. That Luverne has bonded so closely with the house dog and Laura’s family makes her visits even more fun. About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs nearly my entire life, and have served as one of the primary caretakers in my family for almost all of the dogs we’ve had. I’ve taken care of dogs of all types and ages from puppies to seniors and chihuahuas to huskies I work on a contract basis and have more free time than time I’m working. I often have full weeks off and can spend that whole time with your pets. I have a cozy apartment with plenty of space for a dog, big or small. I have room to put a crate or dog bed if needed. I’d also feel comfortable staying in your home if that’s what is best for you and your dog.

About: I grew up with multiple cats in my home and did cat sitting for many of my friends and neighbors when they needed it. About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. Therefore I have a very flexible schedule, and can make all the time necessary to keep any pets entertained and well taken care of! I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, my own pitbull along with friends, families, and neighbors dogs. I have experience with small and large animals, working with horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, cats, lizards, geckos, and fish! I have been a pet sitter for 5 years. I also have a lot of personal experience taking care of dogs who require medications. I will ensure your dog gets the best treatment possible! I’m currently studying at Saint Michaels College and have classes on weekdays. I have an open schedule on weekends. I am also available all day on Thursdays. About: I’ve been around both dogs and cats my entire life , personally owned both for 5 years now. Back in CO I house sat and watched dogs frequently and loved it , now I work at a Canine daycare and Training facility in Plattsburgh Tuesday-Friday. Brings me joy everyday to help people take care of their fur babies ❤️ I work Tuesday through Thursday throughout the day but have a lengthy lunch break that I can leave and assist others with their pets , Friday I have a half day so Im available all afternoon. Saturday- Monday I’m available for overnight boarding and checkins ( walks , feeding , etc ) . Let me care for your fur baby while you’re away ! I have a large yard with one well behaved girl dog and two cats, I can provide a run line if wanted or just frequent leashed walks if that’s preferred . There are plenty of toys and outdoor shade , as well as a baby pool for cooling off in summer . I have a XXL crate so I can crate your animals if wanted/necessary , and a “Pet room” where they can sleep on the bed or chair as they desire.

“I was originally worried about boarding Luverne when traveling for work. As an active outdoor-loving dog who needs a good run in the woods every day before snoring on her dog bed at night, she wouldn’t do well in a typical kennel situation. Luckily I found Laura! She makes sure my dog gets in a good run, eats her dinner, and plays well with others. That Luverne has bonded so closely with the house dog and Laura’s family makes her visits even more fun. I wouldn’t put her in anyone else’s hands.”
About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs nearly my entire life, and have served as one of the primary caretakers in my family for almost all of the dogs we’ve had. I’ve taken care of dogs of all types and ages from puppies to seniors and chihuahuas to huskies I work on a contract basis and have more free time than time I’m working. I often have full weeks off and can spend that whole time with your pets. I have a cozy apartment with plenty of space for a dog, big or small. I have room to put a crate or dog bed if needed. I’d also feel comfortable staying in your home if that’s what is best for you and your dog.

About: Hello! My name is Steph and I have been living in Vermont for about 10 years now. I am a young professional who loves animals end enjoy helping others in caring for their pups! I own a mini Australian Shepherd named Oakley who is 6 years old. He joins me on most of my adventures that include running, biking hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, and overall just be outside. Spending time in the area I know great spots for pet adventures. I have been dog walking for 8+ years with dogs of all ages & sizes.
