About: I have always had a soft spot in my heart for dogs. I have carried this love into adulthood and I enjoy having them in my life. When your four-legged family member is with us they will be treated as one of the family. They will be doted upon and they will be constantly engaged, touched, and talked to. We go for walks in our 1-acre fenced backyard, which facilitates safe rewarding exploration and discovery. We allow the visitors to play and interact with our loving and friendly standard poodles who are great role models to each other and to visiting pooches. Even though your baby will be on their doggie Vaca, We will still use every opportunity to encourage learning, good manners, and good behavior by giving treats and positive reinforcement throughout the day. Stability, engagement, routine, and structure makes a happy dog and we aim to make sure that every four-legged friend who lodges with us, is happy and never wants to leave. Our resident babies eat twice per day and are allowed out for potty breaks three times per day. If it is a rainy day we do indoor activities in our 35x40 temperature controlled dog suite and we even watch a little "Dog TV" We have a great time, rain or shine! Sleeping arrangements will depend on what your baby is comfortable with but we do not allow our pets on the furniture or in our beds (at least when daddy is around). We have kennels but we allow the dogs to sleep anywhere they want to in the dog suite. I am a retired nurse and I am always home so I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for dogs in my day. We have a huge fenced in backyard where all the dogs enjoy their time outdoors. We also have plenty of equipment in the yard for their enjoyment.

I have volunteered with various pet adoptions including SPCA and Releashed Rescue for over 10 years. I have grown up pet sitting for neighbors and friends. About: I have been loving and caring for dogs since I was a young girl. We always had a dog in the family and I was the one who fed, watered, and did all of the basic care for each of them. I spent a lot of time outside with our dogs, playing toss, catch and tug-of-war, and generally keeping them busy. Going for walks was a big deal back in the day and it was and is good for both of us. When my daughter was young, we would go for walks with her in the stroller and our dog by our side. I also took my service dog on a two month trip across the country. He was safely secured in the back seat, while we drove and then went into all the stops with me. We both had a great time and he enjoyed all the stops as much as I did!! You see, I like to treat dog like people. I believe they understand a lot of what we say to them and I know they love to be petted and scratched, so that's what I do to show each of them love. I've been retired for several years and I live alone.. I don't have a lot on my schedule so I want to take care of dogs to fill my daya and evenings with furry friends to love and play with. I keep water available for them and always have treats on hand (if they are allowed). I have a dog friendly home and a screened in front porch as well as a fully fenced front yard. Your much loved dog will be very safe at my home as well as cared for. I only have one dog, so once they get to know each other, they can play together both inside and outside. About: I have had all kinds of dogs (even pits) and cats growing up. I have delt with many puppies and senior dogs;) I have also bottle fed dogs and cats. I have goats and chickens I don’t work I’m a stay at home mom with nothing to do. So I’m looking for things to do and I love animals so it’s a perfect match;) I have 5 acres to run and play on but I also have a fenced in area. I have tons of space for them to be happy. About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!

I currently work full-time at Oconee Veterinary Hospital and have several years of experience in both veterinary and pet care settings. In addition to my hands-on experience, I’m also a full-time college student studying in the medical field, which has enhanced my knowledge of animal health, behavior, and overall care. I’m highly attentive to animals’ body language and behavior, and I’m committed to providing the same level of care and compassion to your pets as I would my own. Whether you’re away for a few hours or several days, you can rest assured knowing your pets are in caring, capable hands. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pets. My schedule includes working at Oconee Veterinary Hospital and attending Athens Technical College. About: Dogs are a big part of my life right now. With two energetic boxers (one of them deaf) I’ve taken a crash course on raising dogs that are loving, friendly, and listen. I’ve learned a lot the past few years, and can’t wait to love on other dogs. I am currently home most of the day, and I would love to love on your pets. My two boxer are energetic, playful with all other dogs, and thinking meeting new friends is the best. I do have four kids in the home, but they love dogs. Your dog will get extra love and play from these gentle hands. I have an active family and your dog will get lots of attention as we walk, play indoors with dog toys, and engage with my energetic and friendly boxers. We love to cuddle on the couch with our fur friends. Sleep and food time can be done in a particular place if that is what your pet needs.

I have had dogs since I was very young and work hard to include them in all aspects of my life. I have also had litters and cared for and found them well suited loving homes. I have been a volunteer with the humane society and Patriot Paws for many years. My goldens are well behaved and love working on commands, so I am happy to continue any training you might want your dog to keep practicing while you are away. Nothing makes me happier than being near dogs, so I guarantee your dog will have my utmost attention. If requesting boarding or daily day care, your dog must be friendly with other dogs. Happy to provide multiple references that I regularly watch their dogs outside of Rover also. I work from home so I am with my dogs 24/7. I spend a lot of time outside playing with them throughout the day and fetch. I have 2 dogs and a huge fenced in yard to keep your dog company. My house sits on 3 acres that is fully fenced in so there is plenty of room for dogs to run. In spring and summer I also have multiple hard plastic small pools they can lounge in.
