“Winston had a wonderful day with his new friends James, his wife De and their dogs Charlee and Chloe. James did everything we could ask for and more to make Winston's stay a success. We received lots of photos throughout the day showing all the fun Winston was having. That allowed my wife and I to enjoy our day together knowing Winston was being well cared for. This was the first time we used Rover.com and it was a great experience. We will definitely be booking with James again.”

About: I’ve had my own pets and taken care of friends’ and neighbors’ pets since I was a kid. I love animals and will treat your pup or kitty as if they are my own. I’m reliable, responsible and will take the best possible care of your pets. I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. We’ll have time for all the walks and fun activities that will leave your pooch tired and happy. I have a huge fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I can easily crate your dog if that is your preference. I don’t double-book so if your pets are staying with me, they will only have my pets there and it won’t get crowded. I have a quiet calm kitty also, and welcome pet owners with cats, too.

“Linda is a sweetheart and just loves animals. Our girl enjoyed her time in Linda's care, and we are looking forward to the next time our girl will enjoy some time with her!”

“Delmina was amazing. I received details about the house and fenced yard. I was updated all day with photos and detailed texts. I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!
“I had the pleasure of having Valeria watch my fur baby, and she absolutely exceeded my expectations. She was dependable, communicative, and clearly experienced with dogs. My pup was well cared for, happy, and calm when I got back which tells me everything I need to know. Thank You again”

About: Hi, I'm Gessy! I have several years of experience caring for both cats and dogs, especially pit bulls and small breeds. I've done pet sitting, walking, feeding, playtime, and even given medications when needed. I treat every pet like family-gentle, patient, and dependable. Whether it's for a weekend or longer, your pets will be safe, happy and love with me and my family. I am currently a stay home mom, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weeks days. I do not have a fence yard i have a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company, and I can easily crate your dog if needed.

About: I will love your pet like my own and if you ask my friends they will tell you that they would love to live as one of my dogs. I have had dogs since I was very young and work hard to include them in all aspects of my life. I have also had litters and cared for and found them well suited loving homes. I have been a volunteer with the humane society and Patriot Paws for many years. My goldens are well behaved and love working on commands, so I am happy to continue any training you might want your dog to keep practicing while you are away. Nothing makes me happier than being near dogs, so I guarantee your dog will have my utmost attention. If requesting boarding or daily day care, your dog must be friendly with other dogs. Happy to provide multiple references that I regularly watch their dogs outside of Rover also. I work from home so I am with my dogs 24/7. I spend a lot of time outside playing with them throughout the day and fetch. I have 2 dogs and a huge fenced in yard to keep your dog company. My house sits on 3 acres that is fully fenced in so there is plenty of room for dogs to run. In spring and summer I also have multiple hard plastic small pools they can lounge in.
About: Hello, I’m Jasmine. I’m a middle school teacher who loves dogs just as much as children. Like kids, each dog has its own personality and quirkinesses to him/her and I enjoy getting to know your sweet furry pal. With Georgia having so much scenery and greenery, I would like to find new trails and paths for your dog and I to explore. I have cared for many dogs (all ages) and don’t mind getting my hands a little “dirty”. Whether it’s a walk through the park, an exciting game of fetch or an amazing belly rub your fur-baby will be in great hands. If you have any questions regarding services, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your little (or big) one.

No question is too small when it comes to your fur baby. 🐾 I'm home full-time, so caring for your fur baby fits naturally into my day — it's not a side task, it's my lifestyle. I'm with my own chihuahua almost all day, every day, which means any fur baby in my care gets that same level of presence, consistency, and attention around the clock. No rushing home between meetings, no leaving them alone for hours — just a calm, steady routine that keeps your fur baby feeling safe, loved, and right at home. Your fur baby is treated like family from the moment they arrive. There are no cages, no crates, and no isolation — just a warm, welcoming home where they're free to roam, play, and relax just like they would at home. Every fur baby gets my full attention throughout the day. We start with a morning walk, followed by playtime and relaxing in my large fenced backyard. If your fur baby enjoys outings, I can take them to one of two nearby parks — Lenora Park or Alexander Park — for extra exercise and fun. In the evenings, it's wind-down time — cuddles on the couch and a good night's sleep in the bed, never alone in a crate. I follow your fur baby's existing routine as closely as possible — feeding schedules, nap times, medications, and any special needs are all taken seriously and never overlooked. As a chihuahua owner, I'm especially attuned to the needs of small breeds, from temperature sensitivity to portion sizes to reading their mood and body language. Throughout the day I send photo and video updates so you always know how your fur baby is doing — and I'm always available if you want to check in. I only host 2 guests at a time, so your fur baby always gets personalized, one-on-one care — never lost in a crowd.
“Butterscotch absolutely loves Mary Jane. He looks forward to going to visit her every time. He loves Nala, who is his big sister and protector? This is a great place to bring your little fur baby.”

About: Greetings, I am Obadina and I am a graduate of AK9i as a patrol Detection K9 handler and trainer. I went to Tennessee State for Animal Science Pre Veterinary Medicine where I learned animal husbandry. I used that experience to go on to be a vet tech as well as a pet bather and trainer. I am current K9 detection dog handler and trainer. I have experience with high drive dogs as well as nervous dogs and puppies. I can work with any and every dog, from fearful to aggressive. I also offer DeShed nail care and bathing services. DeShed services is when I remove the shedding undercoat that comes out usually during the change of seasons. It prevents mats and painful tangles which not only can relive pain and odor, but also keeps them cool during the warm summer months. It’s a very good alternative to shaving, which actually makes them hotter because their fur keeps the sun off of them . Animal Husbandry is my profession as a K9 handler. Your dogs will be treated like assets they are. It’s an hourly routine as animals respond to predictability which lowers stress levels which leads to better boarding experiences. Your asset will be housed in a climate controlled dry lockable indoor kennel run facility with a fenced in secured play area that’s easy to clean and plenty of storage for your pets supplies.
“Taylor has been very responsive to messages, and very flexible regarding dates and timings to care for my dog. I find her to be very professional, understanding and caring towards my dog. I would definitely ask her to sit my pet again in the future.”

As of August 2026, there are 1,619 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Alcovy Mountain. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Alcovy Mountain commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,619 sitters in Alcovy Mountain, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
