“Samantha was FABULOUS! My dogs seemed so relaxed and at home with her and her family! I will 100% send my dogs in their own vacation with Samantha the next time my family and I go out of town! 🐶🥰”

“Jeremy was excellent with taking time to meet Dina before her stay. He sent a lot of nice pictures and Dina was very happy when we picked her up. We will be using Jeremy again!”

“Victoria is absolutely awesome! She suggested a meet and greet before our stay given my dog hasn’t met cats before. She was so clearly knowledgeable from the start; meeting us outside with one of her dogs and gradually introducing our dog to her pets. Our pup can play rough and be a bit wild since he’s only a year old but she seemed totally confident in managing all the dogs’ behavior. Her home is super pet friendly (pets allowed on furniture, fenced yard) and she knows a ton about watching dogs. She noted she would feed dogs separately to limit resource guarding and had a brilliant method of having me leave while my dog was outside when I dropped him off to reduce separation anxiety. My dog had an amazing time with Victoria! She sent regular text, photo, and video updates which we so appreciated. She allowed him to sleep in her bed with her and clearly spoiled him like one of her own. He was getting over a mild ear infection and she even gave him his last few doses of medication! We had a great experience with Victoria and will definitely use her in the future!”

“This was the first time I took Josie to stay with Lisa. She had so much fun and loved staying with Lisa. I knew Josie was comfortable when Lisa said she followed her everywhere.”

“Tia and her family were great! Jax had a great time. She is great with communicating and sent lots of pics/videos! Definitely recommend her to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.”
“This was our first experience with Rover and we could not have dreamed of a better experience! Sara was so sweet and knowledgeable, and sent lots of wonderful photos. The next time we will absolutely go to her first!!”

About: I’ve owned dogs for 30 years, including an English Bulldog and a French Bulldog. I have firsthand experience caring for medically complex, high-maintenance dogs and understand the patience, attention, and consistency they need. After recently losing my Frenchie, I miss being around dogs, but I am not ready to own another one yet. I’d give your dog dependable, attentive care while enjoying their company. I’m retired, so my schedule is flexible. I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, companionship, and care they need. Pet care will easily fit into my daily and weekly routine. I’m also available during weekdays, when many pet owners are at work. In my home, dogs are family and welcome throughout the house. We have a securely fenced yard and a gated porch for safe outdoor time. I can crate your dog if that is part of their normal routine, or they are welcome to sleep in a bed if preferred.
“We cannot express how happy we are with Sebastian O. and how well he treated our Lucy! We had constant updates and reassurances that she was safe, happy, and doing well. Lucy will definitely be visiting Sebastian and his wife again.”

“Izzy had a great experience at Veronica’s! Veronica has a huge back yard where Izzy ran and played with other dogs. I received a lot of pictures and videos, which showed me that Izzy was having a great time!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, from young puppies to adult dogs. I administer medication to my own friendly dog twice a day, so I’m comfortable incorporating medication schedules into a dog’s daily routine. I’ve also cared for an 8-week-old puppy for an extended three weeks while the parents were international, which gave me experience with the extra attention, patience, supervision, and consistency that young puppies need. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of love while making sure your dog feels safe and comfortable. I can also walk dogs together when their temperaments, leash manners, and walking needs are a good match. I’ll treat your pup like one of my own! I work part-time remotely from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. Since I’m home most of the time, I can give your pets plenty of attention and help keep them on their normal routines. My son has a few evening activities that typically last about an hour, but otherwise, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet’s needs. I love being able to provide pets with dependable, loving care and make sure they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or visiting them in their own home, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved! I work part-time remotely from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for drop-in visits to check on pets, provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, administer medications when needed, and offer playtime, companionship, and cuddles. In my home, I have a friendly, animal-loving dog who enjoys having company. I keep plenty of toys and treats on hand to keep pets happy and entertained, and I can provide a crate or a separate room if a pet needs their own quiet space. I also have a yard with a dog-run tether for supervised outdoor time. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow your instructions to help them feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medication, or simply someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own!
“Lindsay took wonderful care of Loki while we were away. She sent daily pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Loki was happy and well loved. He enjoyed daily walks, plenty of bed cuddles, and all the attention he could ask for. We highly recommend Lindsay and would absolutely book with her again.”

About: I am an animal lover and I have always had pets. The past few years I have been saving lives and fostering with One By One Reacue! I am currently on a foster break since I have 4 dogs of my own but help run the rescue in other ways. I am lucky enough to work from home and be with my pets all day. They stay in the general area I am when I work. Since I have 4 dogs of my own, I would like to provide boarding at my house. I am in a town house and I have movable metal fencing for my dogs. I never leave them outside alone. When I do have to run to the store or have plans for the day (usually no more than 8 hours) I have a furbo that I check in on them throughout the day. I also gate off my stairs so no one can use them (or fall down, I had a blind dog and watch one) when I am not there.
“Our Border Collie is a bit challenging to find a good fit in a pet sitter. She is very high energy and needs lots of play time, she's not great with unknown dogs, and though she's we'll behaved, she will not bond with every person she meets. During our meet and greet with Jordyn,I saw allot of positive signs in my pups behavior. Jordyn indeed turned out to be an excellent choice for us. We left our pup with Jordyn for 4 full days and came home to a happy and stress free dog. We've had a couple of pet sitter experiences where that wasn't the case so it was easy to recognize the difference. Jordyn was extremely flexible with scheduling and created a fantastic experience for all of us. She'll definitely be our first choice in the future”

About: I have been helping to take care of animals of all kinds since I got my first dog at 5 years old. Now 21, I have over 15 years of animal care experience by helping the pets of family, friends, and neighbors. I have my Girl Scout Bronze Award for setting up a pet fair that helped raise awareness and funds for local organizations that benefit animals. I am accustomed to training new pets and ensuring that senior pets get the best care they need. I can walk, feed, play, and do anything you may need to ensure that your pet is well taken care of while you are away. I am currently working part time, which entails that I have a very flexible schedule and am able to make anything work. I am willing to sit at my own residence and yours. I also have experience with house sitting. I am so excited to get to work caring for your furry friends! My schedule is very flexible which means I have plenty of time to spare on making sure your pets are okay and taken care of. I do work mostly in the evenings, only about 2-3 days a week but am never there past 8pm. I am essentially open from morning until evening nearly all day every day. My backyard is fenced off and has two levels ensuring that your pets have plenty of room to run and play! I also have a dog of my own to make sure your pet has someone to play with. My house is very secure and has lots of friendly neighbors with their own pets who would love to play and meet yours. I also live with 3 other people, which means your dog is never left unsupervised for too long.
“Mary and family were the best. She treated Sullivan as one of her own, sent pictures, and was super responsive with messages. She went above and beyond to make Sullivan feel at home by allowing him to "rest" on furniture, taking him for several walks a day, and even taking him to a baseball game. I just hope she will have him back :).”

“Christy was such an amazing pet sitter! It was my first time leaving my puppy for a weekend, so naturally I was a nervous wreck. She made time for me to come to the house and have a meet and great with her dog and my puppy. Throughout the weekend she would send me pictures of Gatsby playing and going on walks. It helped to ease my mind and see that he was having a good time and was in good hands. I will definitely be using Christy again! Thank you!”

“Sarah was an incredible host and I will be booking again! I feel incredibly grateful that my two dogs were in her care- they were happy, healthy, and safe during the visit. They had many long walks and outdoor time and Sarah was very communicative with lots of pictures and updates.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glendale
Julia was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, and we highly recommend her! She is an excellent communicator and sent us numerous photos and updates throughout each day, which gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to see how happy and well cared for our girl was. We have had the pleasure of meeting many excellent dog sitters through Rover, and we are delighted to have found someone as caring, attentive, and trustworthy as Julia. Our dog, JJ, is older and does best in a calm environment where she can maintain her familiar routine. Julia understood how important this was and did a wonderful job ensuring JJ felt comfortable and keeping her on her usual schedule. When we picked JJ up, she seemed content, relaxed, and happy, which told us everything we needed to know! It is such a relief to find someone we can trust to care for our beloved girl with the same thoughtfulness and attention we would give her ourselves. We would happily book Julia again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive sitter.

Amber was fantastic with our pup! She sent us daily, detailed updates along with pictures. She took great care of him, and even cleaned out his ear when she noticed he was scratching at it. She even sent us home with a very kind little goody bag including some pictures of him! She is a true dog person, and I'd definitely recommend her! We expect to rebook in the future!

Jessica is a gem. My dog, Aimee, is a delicate Maltese. Aimee's had knee surgery for MPL, common in this breed. Aimee limped once, after daycare. Aimee's also had gastric reflux and she requires a special diet. I sought someone who could give Aimee special attention. Jessica is an excellent caregiver/dog sitter. Aimee has fun there!! Boarding Aimee, I can vacation with ease, while Aimee vacations with Jess.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
