“Amanda was amazing to my Ottie!! She went above and even cleaned my cats litter box haha! She definitely cares about my pets and always kept me updated!! Ottie is a very shy dog but warmed up to Amanda by day 2!! 5 stars!!”

“This is our first experience with Rover and certainly not our last. The same is true of Wallis, who was an absolute pleasure to meet and trust with our pets. The time away was out of the country, so confidence in the care plan was important. We were pleasantly surprised to get daily texts from Wallis with brief comments and images of our cats. Call it cat-owner-weirdness, but we could see they were in good spirits and comfortable. More cat-owner-weirdness - checking texts from Wallis while standing in line to view the Sistine Chapel! Thank you, Rover and Wallis!”

“We were very happy having Mamie (Mary) care for our two cats! She is a great communicator, particularly when it comes to letting you know how it's going with your pets. We have a cat who is recovering from an injury and we could tell from meeting Mamie - and later from her updates - that he was in good, attentive hands! She also had to play hide-and-seek a bit to keep up with our more timid cat, but she caught onto his patterns. We're glad we were able to book her and would highly recommend!”

“Robin was amazing with our dog and cat. She was so patient with our dog’s anxiety and gave her plenty of love while we were away. She also made sure to set aside quality time for the cat to give her love and attention. Robin kept us updated and sent adorable pictures of the pets. We will definitely book with Robin again.”

“LINDSEY was amazing with our pups. She communicated with us consistently, kept us updated, and sent us plenty of photos of our sweet puppies. We will definitely have her take care of them again in the future for sure!”

About: What sets me apart is how comfortable and patient I am with all kinds of pet personalities. I know every dog and cat is different, some are energetic and playful, while others may be shy or need a little extra time to warm up. I’m attentive to each pet’s routine and individual needs, whether that means walks and playtime, lots of attention, or simply giving them a comfortable and calm environment. I’m also comfortable caring for pets of different ages and adjusting to the specific instructions their owners provide. My full-time job offers a lot of flexibility since I build my own schedule and have the ability to work remotely rather than being in the office every day. This makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my routine and adjust my availability day-to-day. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or spending a little extra time with your pet, I’m able to plan my schedule around their needs and make sure they’re getting plenty of attention and care! I’m most comfortable with the everyday care that keeps pets happy, healthy, and comfortable while their owners are away. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, exercise, and of course plenty of attention and company! I’m also happy to follow any specific routines or instructions you have for your pet. My experience is primarily with general pet care rather than grooming, so I like to focus on making sure pets feel safe, cared for, and stick as closely to their normal routine as possible.

About: I take care of all of my families’s pets when they go on vacation. I have experience with puppies and older dogs. I am a huge animal lover! I am currently flexible during the day. If your pet is not too far away, I am available. I will try to make time for my clients! I would treat your pet like it was my own. I will play with them take them for a walk feed them make sure they have water and give them lots of hugs.
“Lauren was fantastic! Throughout the process she was so thoughtful, kind and communicative. Lauren took the time to meet our girl Fig beforehand, and sent us detailed updates each day we were away. We had so much peace of mind knowing our baby was well taken care of!! We are so appreciative and would happily book Lauren again :)”

“Jen did a great job with my cats this weekend! She was comfortable giving insulin shots to my senior cat. She also respected my younger cats quirkiness! Everything seemed to go smoothly! Would definitely recommend her for pet care!”
“I’ve booked Abigail a few times now and she’s been amazing every single time. She’s super reliable, consistent, and sends great updates. She even got my shy cat to come out of her shell, which says a lot! It’s such a relief knowing they’re in good hands!!”

“Rylee did a great job with Dobby during her drop-in visit! He was happy, well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates. Would definitely have her watch him again!”

“Myah did a wonderful job with our Stella! When I walked in, Stella was like "oh you're here," which is the perfect and desired response when any of us return. Stella should know she is safe at home and whoever walks through that door will take care of her. And Myah did very well, meeting our girl's needs in our neighborhood. Will definitely rebook!”

“Caralyn was absolutely amazing!! She took excellent care of our two cats while we were away. She’s a great communicator, and sent us daily updates on how the girls were doing. We really appreciated her gentle, compassionate approach with them, and know they were well taken care of! We would definitely book Caralyn again :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Glendale
I asked for a visit as I went out of town and needed someone for the last day as I had no idea what time I was coming home. I gave instructions and told him that he can leave after doing what was asked since I knew my cat was going to come out. I appreciate the stop by and making sure my cat had food as I was super worried that she was going to go hungry. Thank you for visiting and taking my request last minute.

Josie did a great job checking in on our full house of 4 kitties while we were away for a weekend! They got comfortable with her quickly, and after each meal we got a full report on how everyone did. She also handled our asthmatic cat’s daily inhaler like a pro. We would definitely have her back again the next time we need a sitter!

Kathleen is so great with Lucy, who can be a shy anxious cat. She has been attentive to the specific requests I’ve asked her to report on to give me peace of mind while I’m away. I’m so happy to have found someone Lucy feels happy and safe with. Every day she’s sent me photos of a contented cat!

Caralyn was absolutely amazing!! She took excellent care of our two cats while we were away. She’s a great communicator, and sent us daily updates on how the girls were doing. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glendale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
