I am currently in college, and I have about 6 hours of class on Mondays and 2-3 hours of class on Tuesdays-Fridays. I work a rare short shift at my other job, but have a relatively adaptable schedule and can put them off if needed. Other than that, I have a decently flexible schedule. When house-sitting, I can provide care before and after work/school if your animal allows for that time gap! I stay overnight when house-sitting, unless preferred otherwise! If it is preferred that I do not stay the night, I can stay late and return early in the morning. I try not to leave pets longer than 7-8 hours, even overnight, unless otherwise specified.

Anything that a pet could get into is kept locked away or out of reach. When outside on walks or in the yard, I try to keep the dogs away from other unknown animals to avoid any incidents on either side. All animals are kept under careful watch to prevent anyone from escaping! I review any shared information before visits to eliminate any questions and concerns I may have. After each visit, or as desired, I give updates and send lots of pictures to let you know what we have been up to and how things are going. Feel free to request more updates on what we are up to; I am here to help you and your animals feel as comfortable as possible!

If any special information or requests are needed before I meet your pet, let me know. Including: any necessary medications, typical exercise needed, allergies, etc. Please let me know about anything your pet may try to get into, so I can make sure things are put away and doors are closed. If any of your pets are anxious, please let me know. I try to leave my things outside before heading in to say hello!
A typical day
Though each day will vary with the pet and their needs, I enjoy going for walks or spending time in the yard as often as my schedule and the weather allow. I try to switch activities and the path we walk to provide more stimulation and exercise throughout the day. Whether chasing around, playing tug, or fetch, I love to see any dog extra playful and happy. Cuddling up with a pet on the couch or in bed is one of my favorite things!

Pet care experience
I have loved to care for animals my whole life and am coming up on 3 years of pet-sitting. I am currently away from my dog at home while I am at college. I raised and trained my family dog, Cooper, who uses a doorbell and “talks” with buttons. I also own two gerbils, but I grew up with a turtle and multiple rodents. My prior training and pet care experience are not limited to my own animals; I have assisted in training two service dogs and have cared for animals with various disabilities. I also work with high-energy dogs and provide lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep them busy during the day. I often provide medication to pets on the job and have experience working with dogs of all ages and sizes. I love all animals and treat them as my own!
