About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I only recently, in the past couple of years, started taking care of other people’s pups, and I really enjoy it. I treat all pups as if they were my own. I am retired. I play pickleball quite a bit, but I am never gone more than a few hours at a time. My husband works from home, so there is almost always someone around to accompany your pup. My favorite part of the job is showering pups with love. We have mattresses on the floor and if the pups are willing, we love to snuggle with them. I typically walk them 4 to 6 times a day, depending on the wants/needs of the pup and the weather. I will be sure to check in multiple times daily with you and send photos and videos. I am very quick to respond to messages!
About: I’ve always loved dogs, whether they were mine or those of friends. I’ve had dogs for many years, and they have been my best buddies! I adopted Stanley last September from Have a Heart Rescue. Stanley is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is only 17 pounds and full of energy and loads of love. He enjoys “walking” other dogs if he can get ahold of their leashes and loves to do zoomies in the yard and play tag with other dogs. As he is a small pup, I would prefer to only watch dogs up to 40 pounds and must be socialized with other dogs and people. As I am retired now, I would love to start dog sitting in my home and would be open to doggy daycare. I am rarely away from the house for more than two hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. Dogs have always been allowed on the chairs, sofas and on the bed. Who wants to sleep on the floor? I have been unofficially dog sitting for almost 40 years, and have recently started dog sitting for pay. I believe it is a good idea for the dogs and owners to have a meet-and-greet as it’s a great way to make sure we’re all a good fit and gives us the opportunity to meet and talk about our expectations. As a dog owner, I know how difficult it can be to be away from your little buddies, so I’m here to make that separation as easy as possible. When your pup stays with me, I’m always happy to send photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away rest assured that your pup is happy and healthy, and to see just how much fun we’re having. About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have cared for everything from reptiles to rodents to larger 4-legged creatures. I spontaneously rescued a dog 20 years ago which ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. I spent 15 years with my little buddy exploring trails, taking car rides, lazily cuddling on the couch and having lots of one-way conversations. He unfortunately passed away a happy old man but during that time, taught me patience, dedication, playfulness and gave me a special appreciation for dogs. I have vast experience being around a variety of dogs of all shapes, sizes and personality types. I overall just enjoy being around dogs and caring for them (I'm definitely that guy asking strangers if I can pet their dog ). I work from home in an office setting during the week so I would be around the house most of the time to keep tabs on things and for backyard potty breaks (have a fenced in backyard). During the week, I would be available before 8:00am, during my lunch break and after 4:30pm for walks or to stop by your house for check-ins. On weekends, I am not working so I would be available all day. I live next to Tower Grove Park and enjoying spending time outside or walking in the park. I have a cozy home with a small fenced-in backyard that is perfect for small to medium sized dogs. We have been sending our dog to Ashley and Philip for the past couple of weeks for the occasional days when we both need to be in the office, and it has been a great experience. Our fur baby has a lot of separation anxiety, so we were looking for a situation that would give him more of a homey feel and plenty of human interaction, rather than being one of many dogs left to play in the backyard. When we pick him up, he always seems relaxed and happy. There are kids and a few other dogs for him to interact and play with, but we really appreciate that they limit how many dogs they take at a time so it doesn't become overwhelming for him. We feel like he gets plenty of attention while still having the opportunity to socialize and have fun. We hope to continue having him go there to play and spend time whenever we need someone to care for him. We’re so happy we found Ashley and Philip!
Sarah was outstanding! We were visiting from West Virginia and needed a sitter for our 2 dogs so we could spend the day in St Louis visiting the Arch and going to a Cardinals game. Sarah was the perfect sitter for us. She communicated everything to us and gave us pictures and updates. Her house clean and comfortable for the dogs and a great yard for them to play in. Her dog was friendly towards our dogs especially our little dog. I loved the detailed report she gave us after picking them up. If I am ever visiting St Louis again I would definitely use her again.
