“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of multiple dogs of all sizes. I have taken them on walks, play catch, given meds, and willing to do whatever you need for your pup! I am doing this for some extra cash so my schedule is very open. Willing to work with you and try my best to accommodate! I like to make sure the pet is comfortable with me especially when their person is gone so I like to com by and meet you and the pet before your trip! I try my absolute best to stick with their routine and make sure I’m getting all of their needs met. I have dealt with high energy pups to pups with a lot of anxiety. I love em all even with their special quirks!
“I was super hesitant to have a sitter in house for my pup because I was scared of my house being a wreck when I came back. Thankfully, this fear did not come true with Mary as a sitter. They were clean and kept my apartment how I left it… if not better. They sent me quite a few update pictures of my pup, and just regular updates in general. They also made sure my pup was okay with plenty of water in the time it was going to take me to get home after they left. Your pup will be in good hands with Mary!”

About: Hi! Thanks for looking at my profile. I’m Karah. I first began pet/house sitting when I was living in Ecuador in 2012. I am well practiced with dogs of all sizes, cats of many temperaments, and critters ranging from fishes to bearded dragons. I am currently working part time at a craft store. As such I can be with your critters for most of the day. Everyone will be well looked after and let out, walked, given specific care, et al. Quite frequently. I am not able to keep pets in my own home. I have my own two dogs and a cat who claims his own space.

“Evelyn is a super responsible home and pet sitter, our Golden girl Pennie just adores her! We are always able to enjoy our trip knowing our home and Golden girl is in very good hands <3”

About: Hi! I’m Erin, and I’m currently accepting new pet sitting clients in the St. Louis area. I work at Saint Louis University and also work part-time as a caregiver, so being dependable, responsible, and communicative is a huge part of my everyday life. I’m a lifelong dog owner and currently have a Lab mix of my own, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, feeding, potty breaks, medication administration (oral medications), playtime, and overnight pet sitting. I provide regular photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to cats, so I’m only accepting dog and other non-cat household pet clients at this time. If you’re looking for someone reliable who will care for your dog like family, I’d love to connect. Feel free to message me with your location, dates, and what services you’re looking for. I currently have a full time role at SLU that offers remote days and flexible hours. I am able to adjust my schedule to manage both. I am very comfortable working with larger energetic dogs and those who may be a bit more timid. My family dog is a bull mastiff boxer mix who can run around for hours on end and my dog is an anxious couch potato through and through.
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for friends’ and family members’ pups of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve looked after everything from 14-week-old puppies to senior rescues. I’ve also worked with dogs who need medication, have special needs like blindness or anxiety, or just have tons of energy to burn. I approach every dog with patience, compassion, and personalized care — as if they were my own. As a full-time student with a light class schedule — just a few hours in the evenings Monday through Thursday — I’m available nearly all day, every day. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent care, timely check-ins, and plenty of attention for your pup throughout the day. When boarding dogs in my home, I provide a peaceful, dog-friendly space where your pup can relax and feel at ease. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and live in a quiet, walkable neighborhood that's perfect for regular walks and sniff breaks. I maintain a consistent routine, supervise playtime, and ensure your dog always has a cozy spot to rest — just like they would at home. Being welcomed into someone’s home to care for their pet is a responsibility I take seriously. I’m clean, respectful, and always follow care instructions closely. I create a calm, safe environment for each dog, keep communication open with regular updates, and do everything I can to make sure both you and your pup feel secure and supported.

“Paige did a great job with the house and 3 dogs for a week long assignment. I especially appreciated that she took out the trash and started the dishwasher before she left! I would recommend Paige to anyone needing someone to housesit with their dogs. Thanks Paige!”

“Adrian is amazing with my big baby boy!! Gunner really loves his time with Adrian, he adores her. We feel very comfortable with her and so glad we found someone that cares for our boy! Thanks again for watching our boy while we were gone 😀”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew up caring for them daily. I’ve raised a puppy and currently have a well-trained dog of my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m currently working part-time but am available most days during the week and can be flexible with scheduling as needed for pet care and walks. I prioritize safety and trust in every visit. I follow owner instructions closely, keep dogs on-leash during walks, avoid unsafe situations, and ensure pets are never left unattended. In a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain cleanliness, and make sure pets are comfortable, secure, and cared for the entire time.
“Jennifer took care of our two high energy dogs without any issues! She was incredibly responsive and left our house in great condition. I highly recommend her.”

“Colleen stood out immediately from other caregivers because of her focus on details and learning everything necessary to provide the best care for our dogs during her pre stay visit. She asked many thorough questions and took faithful notes about our pups many needed medications, special diet, health conditions and outdoor routines. We could tell how important it was to her that our dogs receive the right amount of attention and the least possible disruption during our absence. Because our dogs are seniors and may react if left alone for too long, she cheerfully arranged her schedule to stay throughout the day and overnight. Colleen also asked about our home, any expected visitors, watering of plants, how we wanted the mail and packages handled, along with any areas the pups were not allowed. She made sure she had our vet's information, along with a nearby neighbor she could call if needed. Colleen also sent many pictures and videos so we could see for ourselves that they were having a good time and in good hands. Her professionalism gave us the confidence and comfort level to enjoy our time away from home. As a welcome bonus, linens were washed, dried and dishwasher had been run. If any of these things are important to you then we would strongly recommend you consider hiring Colleen.”

About: I’m an attentive, deeply responsible pet sitter with a warm heart and a professional approach to care. I’ve been pet sitting since I was a child, loving and caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and more. I’m always open to learning and training because your peace of mind matters to me. My background in a detail-driven healthcare field means I value precision, safety, and following care plans exactly as written. Whether your pet has two legs, four, or more, I treat them with the same care and respect I give to my own family members. I’ll treat your pet like my own and give them the attention, comfort, and best care they deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I’m currently working part-time and have flexibility over my schedule. I can build in extra time for daily walks, feeding, play sessions, and care plan tasks without rushing. This means I’m able to stay consistent, be present with your pet, and adjust my day as needed to match their routine and comfort. I care for pets in your home since my place doesn’t allow pets indoors. I’ve been around animals all my life, and like many pet owners, I’ve learned to recognize their cues and patterns simply from growing up with them. It may take a little time to learn your pet’s quirks, but I enjoy that process and find it fun to understand what makes them feel safe and happy. The level of care I provide matches your pet’s specific needs. If you just need walks or drop-in visits, I’m happy with that. If your pet needs medication, special feeding, or other care tasks, I’m comfortable handling those too. I’m ready to rise to the level your pet needs and will follow your care plan exactly.
“Alex did an amazing job with our beagle, Josie! She is a sneaky little pup, and Alex handled her wonderfully! We came home to a happy pup and clean home. I appreciate Alex’s communication and plan to book with them again!!! Thank you, Alex!”

“I went out of town for a couple of days and Emily stayed at my place watching my dog Leo. She was so responsive and caring. She also sent daily updates and pictures. Emily was so sweet with Leo I will definitely have who come watch him again she I’m out of town ❤️❤️”

“Karrie did an awesome job watching my fur babies while I had to travel for a work week. She regularly provided updates and pictures which put my mind at ease as I had never hired an overnight pet sitter before. The place looked just like it did when I came back and she clearly understands and loves cats. I definitely would recommend her to house sit for your pets.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Glasgow Village
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,692 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glasgow Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glasgow Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glasgow Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glasgow Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
