“Our dog, Archie, always has a wonderful time under Maria’s attentive care. Thank you Maria for providing such a lovely environment for lots of fresh air, exercise and genuine care!”

“Amanda is awesome - she answered all our questions in advance of setting up our Rosa’s first stay, Amanda sent lots of pics and updates. Rosa seemed to have a great time!! We will be scheduling another stay with Amanda soon.”

“Nicole took wonderful care of my dog, Chelsea, providing individual attention, love and treats. She sent me frequent updates and photos so I knew Chelsea was comfortable and happy. We will definitely contact Nicole again when Chelsea needs a sitter.”

“Yussel and family did a fantastic job of taking care of Jake while we were gone. They have a wonderful fenced backyard and played fetch with him a lot. He was very well cared for. We would highly recommend her for boarding your dog!!!”

“Laura was very good with Ollie sent to us pictures to make sure that he was ok . I liked because her house has a fenced back yard so I did need to be worried about Ollie takes off. Thanks again Laura 🤗”

“Wonderful experience!! William and his wife are loving and caring people and Coco was welcomed into their home. He trains service dogs as well so I new that she might have to put on her learning cap- and he did give me some wonderful helpful tips that were very much appreciated. I will spread the word in our Motor coach Resort, and hope that William gets more business! Thank you again and we will be back at the end of the month! Torrie and Coco”

“I had to take medical leave out of state and wanted my fur baby nearby for the month I would be unavailable. I interviewed three prospects in the area and settled on Alondra due to her consistency and confidence. I was not wrong. Alondra and her husband Franco and their two boys soon became GOATs second family. Their dog Alika, his BFF. They were so good about walking per my instructions early in the mornings and late evenings to ensure the Florida heat was not an issue. In addition, I received and abundance of videos and pictures and texts throughout every day. She stayed available to receive phone calls as well. Alondra, along with her entire family provided the bestest care for my baby boi. He's a dalmatian and they are very high energy dogs, so she worked hard to keep his energy levels in check with daily walls and playtime in their beautiful backyard. We have actually become friends through this experience and I could not be more excited to share their dedication and love. If you ever need to take a break from life and want an affordable and extremely caring experience for yourself and your pup, I highly recommend leaving your pup with Alondra and her family!!!”

“Caesar always takes the best care of our dog while we are away. From the moment we get out of the car our boy is immediately excited to be there, and we leave without worry or concern because we know he is going to be taken care of, played with, and treated so well.”

“Kristina did an excellent job with my two dogs. First time for using Rover and I was nervous because they are my babies but she put my mind at ease. They got along well with her little dog and her children and she kept me updated with text and pictures. I would definitely use her again.”

“Yaretzi was absolutely wonderful with our dog while we were away at Disney World for three days. Our dog is very anxious, especially during thunderstorms, and we were nervous about leaving her. Yaretzi went above and beyond to make sure she felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. She was patient, attentive, and kept us updated throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog’s well-being. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and couldn’t be more grateful. We would absolutely book with Yaretzi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“I couldn’t say enough about how well Donna took care of our dog, Salsa. We could tell that Salsa was having a wonderful time with her and she communicated with pictures letting us know how well she was doing and how well she adjusted. Donna is a very caring woman, and you could tell how much Salsa enjoyed being with her. Will definitely highly recommend Donna!”

“Paws Down the BEST sitters!! Our boy Roary had the best week with Nikki and her hubby. The whole process from the initial meeting all the way through drop off to pick up was so professional and seamless. They really eased my kids' minds during our vacation by sending lots of pictures and videos and updates! We love that they have a fenced in yard and front porch for extra security. Only taking one family's pet at a time was a big huge selling point for us so we didn't have to worry about any issues and knew that our baby was getting 100% attention and love! Could not recommend Nikki anymore, I wish I could give 10 stars!”

“Rosa was very sweet, welcoming and very communicative, which is a plus for me. She took very good care of Sur. I will rebook with her on my next South Florida trip.”

“My dog almost loves staying here better than my house LOL 🤣 She gets to run so wild and free (we have an hoa so she’s not really ever running free) and she loves playing with the other dogs and has a blast! I love knowing that someone’s not just “beating her“ while I’m on vacation, but she’s actually getting plenty of exercise and enrichment 🙌 and I really really really love how they keep the “rules“ when she’s at their house so she doesn’t come home losing all of her good training”

About: Patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I’m comfortable caring for energetic young pets as well as seniors who may need extra patience, medication support, or a calmer routine. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. I have taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Whether it be family or friends; pet owners have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe and care for their fur babies. I have my own 8 year old husky and care for all dogs as if they are my own. I currently work part time as a pharmacy technician, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet during the week. Pet care is part of my daily routine through feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and companionship. I prioritize keeping pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a big backyard, lots of toys and a 8 year old husky of my own who loves other dogs. I can crate your dog if needed/separate.

“Absolute pleasure working with Joanne! She took such good care of our spoiled little man! We received pictures and updates throughout the day and Thor went on plenty of walks to keep him happy. Thank you for giving us one less thing to worry about on our wedding day!”

“Lora is amazing! Our pup, Ruby, loves staying with Lora and starts getting excited the second we pull up in the driveway! Lora always goes above and beyond when taking care of Ruby. We love all of the picture updates she send and love knowing that our girl is in good hands while we are away.”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gifford
This anxious dog mom had a very positive experience communicating with Patricia. She addressed all of my concerns to ease my mind. Chase had a wonderful 8 day stay. He loved playing with her adorable dog Brady. He went on long walks and enjoyed his "squirrel patrol". He looked so happy when I picked him up. Patricia is a caring and highly capable sitter. Chase would be very happy to stay with her and Brady in the future.
Melanie & Daniel were absolutely wonderful with our dog, Millie! They kept in touch with many updates and photos on a daily basis while we were away. Millie was so happy with them, she seemed reluctant to depart after he week with them. Much gratitude to both Melanie and Daniel .

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Gifford home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Gifford.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Gifford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
