“Amanda did everything and much more than she said she would. My pups were very well taken care and loved. They will not mind being taken back to Amanda in the future as I already have informed her that I would use her again in October. Will book as soon as dates are finalized. Very organized and works the process excellently. +++++'s behind each star.”

“Laura was amazing.!! Very Nice, care and She informed us on my dog during his stay . 5 stars and I will return. I recommend Laura if you in the fort pierce or Port Saint Lucie area.”

“First of all, Michael took our dog on a last second request, which by itself was already great. Everything went smoothly, great communication, and our dog had a great time. We couldn't be happier about the experience and treatment from Michael.”

“Kristina did an amazing job caring for my two fur babies. She had great communication the entire time and my dogs came back happy and healthy. Thank you Kristina!”
“Alondra was extremely caring, sent us lots of pictures, videos, and updates about our dog. We would definitely recommend Alondra to others and would leave our dog at her place again.”

“Lulu was splendidly taken care of by Megan and family ( her husband Brian and Honey , their Cavalier). Lulu & Honey became fast friends and her 2 week stay was greatly enhanced by this new friendship! Megan sent me charming photos of Lulu on a daily basis and I was absolutely sure that she was being excellently and lovingly cared for. Megan has a lovely house and fenced in backyard where Lulu was able to romp & play. Lulu was so happy there - she no doubt would like me to go on another trip sometime soon so she could return. Of course - I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to rebook with Megan. The treatment was 5 star and I recommend her fully!!”

“Nikki & Michael have offered Chloe the perfect "home away from home" during her four stays with them over the past year. They keep us updated with messages and photos of Chloe. When we drop Chloe off, she is eager to run into their welcoming home! Chloe is great with people, but a bit of an alpha with other dogs. The fact that she is the sole boarder makes it easier for everyone. Thank you again for your professional care and concern. Michele A.”

About: Hi! My name is Starla, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have four dogs of my own and have grown up caring for many different types of animals. My love for pets is what inspired me to start dog walking and pet sitting. I understand that pets are family, and I will care for your furry friend as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I am dedicated to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am responsible, trustworthy, patient, and passionate about animal care, and I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I look forward to giving your pet the attention, care, and affection they deserve I love all my animals, they are my life. Everything I do revolves around them, so I’m very sure your dog is safe with me! I have a fenced yard in plenty of furry babies. Your dog can play with. I love each animal that comes my way, and respect your animal boundaries by caring for them.
About: I have never not owned a pet until recently. I had two cats (brother and sister) for 19 years. I have always had dogs. My most recent was my 60 pounds of love - a black lab. One of my cats had diabetes where I had to give him insulin shots twice a day. Thankfully, he went into remission after 5 years. I have raised puppies and took care of senior dogs. After a long career as a Legal Assistant in West Palm Beach, I have retired to my "happy place", Sebastian, Florida. I have time and energy to love your pets and am looking forward to making friends with your cat(s) and/or dog(s), and even their special human. 😊 I am always aware of your pet's needs. I am intuitive as to what they want or are feeling. Of course, their safety and health is top priority. If they are upset and not eating, I am creative in making sure they stay hydrated and eat.

“Miranda did such an amazing job taking care my dogs while I was away. From the beginning, she was reliable, attentive and clearly loves animals. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in good hands. I really appreciate the updates and the extra care she put in.”

“I won’t leave Venus with anyone else! She’s happy when we get there and Catherine loves her!!! She sends videos and pictures through out her stay. 💗 ❤️ 💕”

“I would love to have Donna watch our dogs again. She was so loving and cared for them like they were her own. She sent pictures and updates and kept us i formed as to what was going on. Our big dog is very expressive and Donna knew what he wanted. She had a hard time walking him and went out of her way to buy him a harness and a leash. She is a wonderful lady and I plan on keeping in touch with her. We are already planning our next trip and hope that she is available because we will definitely like for her to watch our dogs again. 5 stars for sure. Thanks Donna. We appreciate you!”

“Maria was amazing !!! She was very attentive very understanding from beginning to end . She has great energy . Coco met maria before her first stay and there was instant chemistry . I can tell coco enjoyed herself and I will definitely be rebooking in the future . So happy I found her for coco ! Thanks again !”

About: Hi! I’m Eliany! When I’m not performing, I love caring for pups and cats! I have experience looking after both young and older dogs, which includes house sitting as well (for both dogs and cats). Totally comfortable giving medicine, if needed, as one of my past pups was geriatric and needed daily meds. I’m committed to keeping your furry friends safe and caring for them just as you would! :) I currently have my schedule open since I’m on the search for a part time job. As long as I know ahead of time, I should be able to accommodate most routines. If I’m caring for your furry friend at my home, there are no roomates or other pets, so rest assured that I’ll be caring for your pet full time. I have no problem putting beds, water bowls, or things of the sort in my home for the time being. I do have experience house sitting for both cats and dogs. For the dogs I’ve house sat, we would normally go on daily walks, routine feedings, and attended dog parks sometimes. I’m also comfortable giving medication, if needed. As for house sitting for cats, I’ve given routine feedings, kept for fresh water out, cleaned out litters regularly.

We had a wonderful experience with Chloe caring for Tucker for a week in her home. She provided excellent communication throughout his stay, sent regular updates and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Tucker was well cared for, happy, and comfortable. I felt completely safe leaving him with Chloe and would absolutely trust her with him again. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trevor was absolutely amazing! He took such incredible care of my dog that my pup barely even wanted to come home with me. The communication was hands-down the best—he sent regular picture updates, which was such a relief since he knew how much I’d miss him. Trevor is truly the best pet sitter I could have ever wished for. I can’t recommend him enough!

We have had our fur babies with Joe 3 or 4 times now over the years and they always come back happy and healthy. He sends videos and regular updates so we have something to watch when we’re missing them. When an unexpected issue came up this time, Joe took Penny and Poppy for over an entire month at short notice. He’s the sweetest and best caregiver we could ever ask for. See you again soon!

Went over before dropping off Mocha for a meet and greet. Stephanie's home is lovely and spotless. Was a little concerned that my dog was going to get too excited with Stephanie's cat but all was good. Mocha had knee surgery in January of 2026 and needed a few medicines. Stephanie was not concerned that this was too much. She sent me pictures of Mocha at least daily even one with Mocha and the children all dressed up in costumes. Her sweet children gave Mocha some of their stuffed animals. I would feel extremely comfortable leaving Mocha with Stephanie again. Thank you!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Florida Ridge home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Florida Ridge.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Florida Ridge sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
