Dog Boarding in Gettysburg

“This was our first time leaving our 9yo retriever with someone we didn’t know…needless to say we were nervous! Interestingly enough, we were also getting married in the area and really wanted someone to bring our dog to our wedding for pictures. Amanda was AMAZING! Not only did she update us often, but she sent us pictures and videos of our girl AND brought her to our wedding! We are so relieved to have found her and would definitely book her in the future!”

About: I have 4 pets currently: 10 year old cattle dog/German shepherd mix 7 year old black lab mix 15 year old indoor/outdoor cat 1 year old visiting fluffball kitty - until my niece find a new place to live that allows pets. I wouldn’t have it any other way! I own my own Airbnb and manage/clean a few others. My job is very flexible and I am great at managing my time and responsibilities. I have a fenced in yard and my dogs love other dogs. My cats may hide while visiting dogs are here but they have plenty of space in my house to do so.

“Rosie is a 2 year old mini bernedoodle. She is a true people lover, and let's just say it...energetic, excitable, reactive.... Amanda is one of Rosie's top 3 people. She is a dog whisperer. She has a gentle way about her that puts Rosie at ease. She is patient with, soft spoken, and sweet to Rosie. Amanda has taken care of Rosie for a week at a time, here and there, since she was 3 months old while we were on vacation, or when I had a stay in the hospital. She has stayed in our home, and also cared for Rosie in her home. She also walks Rosie pretty regularly. Rosie trusts her and feels safe and secure with her. I couldn't recommend Amanda more highly.”

“This is the first time we have left our three year old corgi Charlie with a sitter. Needless to say, we were apprehensive about the new experience for Charlie and problems that may arise from the typical corgi behaviors that he has been known to display at home (incessant barking and heavy shedding et al). Susan was kind, organized, and welcoming, providing an appropriate space inside and ample and safe exercise/play areas outside. Her text communications throughout Charlie’s visit were timely and thorough, asking questions when needed and providing comforting updates periodically. “Rachel & Joey did a great job at taking care of my Cavapoo, Sadie. Rachel responded quickly to my last minute booking request. We’re from ME & were attending a wedding in PA when my original dog sitter had to cancel because her dog was sick. Rachel & Joey were flexible with my last minute drop off & pick up…and they were sensitive & caring with introducing Sadie to their dogs & cat. Sadie took a nap with Joey… lol. And even though her visit was only for 24 hours I received several photos & updates. If I’m ever in the area again I would not hesitate to book Sadie again. Thank you Rachel & Joey. :-)”
