“Bethanie is hands down the best sitter we have ever had! She was so communicative, always checked in on time and sent great pictures and videos of our Kona. We know our baby was in excellent hands!!”

“Merrick is fantastic and I will absolutely have him watch my dogs in the future. My dogs are usually anxious when I travel, but did great in Merrick's care. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.”

“Ashley is amazing with our dog! She has watched our dog multiple times now and is so great with communicating with us. We gets lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. Highly recommend her!”

“Ariel was extremely patient and went above and beyond in caring for our very shy kitty. Having adopted our kitty and traveling extensively with her (6,000+ miles) during COVID, this was the longest stretch (3+ weeks) that we had left her in the care of another…and we picked very well. We would highly recommend Ariel!”

“Brooke was amazing and took such great care of my two cats while I was away. She was a great communicator and always told me when she was heading to my place. She also always left a thorough review of each visit with pictures included. I was confident that the cats got the best care possible!!”

About: I’ve had pets all my life!!! Cats, kittens, dogs, hamsters and a bird! At the moment I have 2 cats - brother and sister. I’ve always had a passion for animals and I’d rescue every single one out there if I could! Since I was about 10 years old, neighbors have asked me to care for their pets while away. Rest assured I will take great care of your babies just as my own! *I currently work full-time M-F. 8:30am - 5pm. *I am typically available to house-pet sit Friday and Saturday nights for stay over. *I will make special exceptions for weekdays if you live nearby the Germantown area. (I have my own pets to care for, so I need to try to keep the location close.) **Message me to discuss** *For drop-ins and dog walks I am available all evenings and weekends. As far as your home and pets, I will follow your instructions in your home precisely. I will feed and water them, clean up after them, clean litter box, clean up dog feces in yard, and any other needs required. My goal is to leave your home exactly how you left it. Your pets and your home will be in great hands!
“Meredith was able to watch my two senior cats when our regular sitter wasn’t available and she did a great job. My cats took to her instantly and she provided great updates and pictures of each visit. We will definitely use her again.”

“Melissa is the best! We were so fortunate to have her look after our two kitties. She is extremely reliable, responsive, and goes above and beyond in her check-ins. I highly recommend booking Melissa is you are looking for someone to look after your furry friends.”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life, I was raised on a farm, where caring for a wide variety of animals became second nature. That background gives me a strong sense of responsibility and an instinct for understanding each pet’s unique personality. I’m comfortable with all kinds of pets and focus on keeping them safe, happy, and stress-free while you’re away. I work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, which means I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and check-ins starting at 4:30 PM during the week. I am completely free on weekdays. If you’re looking for more extended care, I also offer house sitting and can often work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends, allowing me to spend more consistent time with your pets. I aim to be flexible and communicative, so we can find a schedule that works best for both you and your pets’ needs! I tailor my care to each pet and service. In your home, I stick to your pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free, including feeding, walks, and plenty of attention. In my own home, I provide a safe, calm environment with close supervision and consistent care. I also have personal experience with shy pets, I adopted my cat Athena at 4 months old from the Memphis Animal Shelter. She was very skittish and required a lot of patience, understanding her needs, and respecting her space when she wanted to be left alone. She is now 8 years old and thriving, and that experience has taught me how to read behavior and adjust care to each animal’s comfort level. No matter the setting, my goal is to keep your pet happy, secure, and well cared for!
“Leigh Anne is always so great with our puppy! She plays with her and gives her all the puppy attention she needs. We really appreciate her checking on our baby!”

“Terry kept me in the loop with pictures and her scheduled visits. My “skittish” black cat was in great shape upon arriving home. I was very pleased and appreciative of Terry’s job with BK. I will definitely be calling upon her cat care again. Ty Terry.”

“I will definitely use Bailey again. I felt confident leaving my pup with her and she kept me well informed on how he was doing. Hoping to have Bailey as a regular!”

“Caroline is the best! Super reliable, a great communicator and genuinely enjoys our cat who loves her back. A repeat customer and will definitely continue to be one!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Germantown
Ariel is wonderful with our four cats. She really cares about making each and one of them comfortable and happy while we are away. She also leaves the litter area spotless, and was kind enough to take on the extra job of filling our birdbath while we were gone during a hot week this summer. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she is a gem!

My Burberry is not always friendly to new sitters, but Abby worked on him, got him to play, pet him. She was great about letting me know if our scheduled times had changed and if he wasn't eating. Sent questions if she didn't understand my instructions (yes i am one of those who leave detailed instructions) Burberry was definitely comfortable with her by the end of our trip. (Questions like how do you get him back inside let me know he was comfortable with her)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Germantown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
