About: After 13 years in education, including 10 years at Mt. Vernon Community Schools, I’m now a stay-at-home mom with extra time to give your pets plenty of love and attention! I’m also a mom to two little boys who are very loving and will be excited to play with and spend time with your furry friends. Whether caring for dogs or cats, I love giving lots of scratches, cuddles, and companionship. Depending on your pet’s personality and needs, we might go for walks, play fetch, enjoy some outdoor sunshine, or simply relax together. I understand that every pet is unique, and I’ll do my best to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I’m currently home with my littles and taking my oldest to preschool, and picking him up, so my availability is very open. I can be very flexible with a schedule depending on your pets needs. About: There is not a single animal that I’ve met that I do not adore. I have been asked to house sit since I was 12 for multiple families, and every pet under my care has been showered with love and attention. I’m an incoming college freshman student, so early mornings and late afternoons/evenings I am able to drop by for however long your family needs! I am also able to board over the weekends, usually from Friday through Sunday! I have a tendency to spoil my own pups at home…I always look for any chance to give them extra love and treats!! However, I understand that all families have a certain way to cater to their own pets’ needs, and I am more than happy to abide by those needs the way you see fit.

I have experience with basic obedience training and grooming (including nail trimming), and I'm more than happy to take your dog on a long-distance walk if needed. I work from home, so your pet will enjoy around-the-clock company! I can board throughout the week and am available for short or long-term stays. I have a very friendly Beagle who will love becoming your pet's next best friend! Though I don't have a fenced backyard, I'm near plenty of green spaces where your pet can enjoy time outside. Your pet can expect multiple daily walks, plenty of play time, and an experienced and caring sitter.

Bennie had an amazing time with Candie and Axel. It’s all he’s talked about since we picked him up. He talked about the walks, the wrestling, the cuddling, and so much more. He is just going on and on about them both. Bennie highly recommends Candie and Axel. He would have typed this himself except he, well you know…doesn’t have thumbs and kept dropping the phone. Candie has a great backyard and sent us lots of pics, which I really appreciate.
Our pup is incredibly high energy and pretty much has zero boundaries. Lauren and Zach love and embrace him just as he is! It is so nice being able to leave and knowing he will always be loved and cared for just like he would be at home. Always grateful for the care he receives with Lauren and Zach.

Jamie was great! She treated my dogs like they were own and let them sleep in the bed with her! They probably won’t want to come home because I don’t let them sleep with me. 😀 She sent pictures and updates to let me know they were doing fine which was so helpful and put me at ease. Her yard is fully fenced so they can roam freely.
