“Gnocchi had a wonderful time with Christopher. The pictures and videos were amazing. They kept me from missing my companion as much. I will be booking again when needed again.”
“Mary was great. My dog enjoyed herself and playing with other pets. Mary sent pictures daily along with status updates. I will be definitely rebook her in the near future. Thank you Mary for everything!”
“Leta and her wonderful family took great care of Theo. I received daily pictures and updates and they went above and beyond to make him comfortable. I was able to focus on work knowing my baby was in good hands. They have so much set up for play and stimulation throughout the day. He really enjoyed time with their pets, which is a huge plus for me. I’d absolutely recommend them and will look to them first any time Theo need’s a sitter.”
“Yelena is set up perfectly for dogs to stay with her and her two pups. And she sent more photos and updates than any sitter we’ve ever had. It is so comforting to see and hear about how your dog is doing. Your dog will be in good hands with Yelena!”
“Our first visit of what we hope will be many! Our dogs enjoyed their visit. We can tell when we get home how our dogs behave and they are very happy and their normal loving selves. We are very happy to have found Sheila. She keeps a warm loving home, very clean and fresh, even with several doggies. Sheila and her husband give the visiting doggies love and attention. Can’t say enough about this wonderful woman.”
“Bella is a repeat guest with Crystal, mostly because I know she lives as good or better than at home! The whole family loves on her and make sure she is well taken care of. Will definitely continue to book! KC”

“The duo took in my very nervous babies at the last minute. That matters because sometime life happens and preparation meets unexpected events. They are with me now and it is all worth it.”
“Britny, Jeremy, and Remy were the BEST sitters for our pup Jager. They kept in contact, got some of the best pics, and overall were so kind to work with! We will definitely use them in the future so that Remy can visit with the “tiny dog” again 😊🤍”
“From the moment they opened the door for the meet and greet I knew i’d be leaving my dog in the best hands. Deborah & Jeffrey are warm and kind individuals who will truly care for your pet. Their three dogs and two rabbits sound like a houseful already, but the home is calm and relaxed and the dogs are curious and sweet. They go the extra mile with care and attention. My dog was a bit under the weather when I took her and they went above and beyond to make her feel better. They provided regular checkins and photos and are quick with responses. I had zero worries, well maybe just one, that my dog may not want to come home. Deborah & Jeffrey are excellent and now my go to for future pet care.”
“This is the first time I have left my dog with anyone outside of family and I could not be happier with our choice of a caregiver. Nancy and her husband were so good with our dog and I’m sure she was spoiled the whole weekend! I definitely recommend and would use again!”
“Wonderful caretakers. Our dog had some anxiety issues while we were gone and Precious was very communicative and helpful navigating taking care of our boy.”
“Claudia did an excellent job taking care of Teo and giving him a lot of love! 💕 she always sent us photos, videos and updates of how he was. Without a doubt we will repeat! 🤗🤎”
“Natasha was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Beans! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Beans was happy and comfortable. We loved getting updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Beans was well cared for and received plenty of attention and love. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would happily book Natasha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you, Natasha, for taking such amazing care of Beans! 🐾💕”
“Kailly was so good with our pup! She walked him twice daily and gave him a lot of love and attention. She's also very flexible and communicates/replies very quickly. We'll definitely be using her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mount Comfort home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mount Comfort.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mount Comfort sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
