I am a stay at home wife that loves spoiling her family (husband and pets). We have a 55 gallon aquarium. We also have a 7 year-old beagle that just loves to play with other dogs in our fenced in backyard or anywhere in our home. We have recently adopted 2 mini pinschers, Mini 17 and Gigi 4 and they have fit in perfect. As far as my husband and I, we are just pet crazy and have been all of our lives. We think of our pets first , us second. We both enjoy dogs of any age or size. Having been in the medical field for over 20 years we welcome special needs. i do not change my rates on the weekends or holidays.

We are dog people. We have been on Rover for about four years, and it’s clear that dogs and owners love us! Probably because we have a big, fully-fenced yard for them all to play in and because we have several spare bedrooms to put dogs at night or when we are away at work. If your dog is more of a loner, or if they live to run and play, we have a spot for them. We’ve watched over 100 dogs, from 3 months to 16 year old, and with many health conditions. We often have multiple guest dogs at any given time and often have dogs from several homes, so your dog must love other dogs. We are insured by KennelPro, so you can feel safe booking with us. We are also masters of the "pupdate" - expect tons of photos and videos of your fur babies!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Drop Off & Pick Up Times:

As of July 2019, we have had so much success, we have needed to add some parameters to our drop off and pick up times. We thank you for your understanding of our new policy. We are not a commercial boarding facility and just two people with family, friends, and work, as well as a love for dogs!

Sundays: 7 AM - 11 AM; 9-10 PM

Mondays-Thursdays: 7 AM-7:30 AM; 6:30 PM-10 PM

Fridays: 7 AM-7:30 AM; 4:30-6:30 PM

Saturdays: 7 AM- 11 AM

Alone time:

Ryan and I both work full-time outside of the home. We both have slightly different schedules, but at maximum your dog might be at our home without a human for up to 8 hours. When we are not home, we do not allow unfamiliar dogs to be alone with each other. They are separated either by crates (if your dog uses one; we do not force crating) or by being put in separate rooms.

What do I need to bring?:

We require you to bring your dog's leash, their own food, and a food bowl. If they are used to being crated, please bring their crate. You can bring anything they need to feel comfortable. Please leave bones at home and keep toys to a few. They often get lost or chewed up by other dogs.

Hello! I’m a mom of three girls...ages 10, 7 and 3. They all love dogs and would love to be able to love on some puppies. We have always had some sort of animal up until recently. I grew up with Great Danes, had pet raccoons, geese. I love all sorts of animals! I have a very big fenced in yard, lots of area for your dog to run off all of it’s energy. I have a small in home daycare. So I’m always home with my daycare kiddos and three girls so your pet will always have someone around. When I was in high school I actually worked in a veterinarian office. I have lots of experience with all sizes of dogs. Hope I can help you by spending time with your pet. Have a great day!

Due to the Coronavirus, I am still available to dog sit your dog. I have very strict virus protections in place. Three of us adults have weak autoimmune systems, so we take ourselves and our pets protection very seriously, as we would you and your pets. Masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and hand washing are practiced religiously!

I am a retired special-ed teacher. I have loved dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting for people 47 years. I stay home 24/7 all the time to care for the dogs, no trips or vacations. I have 3 adults in the house who help me out, if needed.

I have 2 dogs myself. Peaches, 11, a poodle who is very sweet & shy and Scotty, 4, a West Highland Terrier, who LOVES to play & run.

Please read my entire profile for all necessary information. It will answer all your questions.

As a professional dog sitter, I have knowledge and experience with CPR and First Aid training. I am able to give shots, as well. I had background checks and I can provide personal references upon request. I have a long history of positive online reviews by 140+ Customers and 85 repeat satisfied customers.

We MUST have a meet and greet several days prior to scheduling your dog to see if we are a good fit for each other. I need to see your updated veterinarian shot records. No last minute scheduling unless it is a REAL emergency.

I haven’t raised my prices in 6 years to keep it affordable for my customers. After Rover takes it’s 20%, I make $2 an hour based on work hours.

TIPS: tips are GREATLY appreciated.

Please let me know if you are a new customer, or if it has been awhile since you have used my services.

We have a huge 1/3 acre, wired fenced in yard. Our yard is shaded 90% in the summer.

I am always outside with the dogs as they play and potty and I sit on our screened in porch. They go outside approximately every 1-2 hours.

TIP: Ultra Clean Tartar Control for your water to help reduce plaque that harbors bacteria, we do. We have a two gallon water feeder inside and outside for thirty dogs.

We allow dogs on our furniture and have laminate floors.

TIP: PLEASE have your dog’s toe nails clipped to a shorter length to prevent scratches to my arms. My arms get bruised, bleed and scarred.

We send text messages of how your dog(s) are doing. We also send pictures.

Please do not book a stay until after we have had the meet and greet and I have accepted your dog(s).

We do not accept dogs:

• who fight

• have food aggression

• not housebroken (poo or pee)

• have excessive barking

• who are aggressive counter surfers

• knock over/get into the trash & make messes

TIP: all pets need to be spayed or neutered.

TIP: No puppies, please, under age 1.

We can accommodate your dog's special food and medical needs, including medications and shots. Their health is our upmost concern.

TIP: Watch “Vets Saving Pets” a 30 minute TV show on Saturday, @ 12 noon on Ch. 13. All about dogs & cats. It’s extremely informative on health issues. You’ll really enjoy it!

For feeding, we use sanitary stainless steel bowls, in various sizes, in separate locations for your dog because their feeding & health is extremely important.

Each dog gets a special bright green colored collar to wear saying they are on vacation at our house with our two phone numbers on it for security reasons.

We have a wicker basket full of all types of assorted toys. We have many dog beds, that we wash & sanitize after each dog visit.

TIP: bring your own toys/ beds to make your dog feel more secure and less anxious.

TIP: Don’t forget to send along your dog’s favorite treats. We give out Milk Bone treats.

TIP: Bring extra dog food because sometimes you get delayed by airline flights, etc.

At night the dogs sleep upstairs with me unless parents want their dogs crated. If your dog(s) normally use or sleep in a crate, then bring it along. Don’t forget.

TIP: use pet friendly ice melt in winter so it doesn’t hurt your dogs foot pads, we do!

Spoiled to the Bone!Indianapolis, IN

Hi there! My name is Jill, and I've been fostering/pet sitting dogs off and on for the last 10 years. I live in a house on the near eastside of Indianapolis in Woodruff Place. My house has a fully-fenced yard for the dogs to run and play, and you can expect that your dog will be walked daily.

I love ALL dogs especially the squishy-faced pups! I am the kind of person who will stop you on the sidewalk to ask to pet your dog. My children (only one is younger than high-school aged) are also dog lovers and are quite accustomed to dogs of various ages, breeds, and sizes. Through dog-sitting, we have been introduced with most dog breeds and have experience with all stages of life.

I am a high school teacher, so I'm home every afternoon by 3:30 (plus, I have summers and breaks off). Since I am away from home during normal work hours, your dog must either be crate trained or ok with being in a sectioned-off area of our home (made super cozy with blankets and beds, of course) while I am at work.

My house is very clean, and I've never had a single problem with my own pets interacting with dogs I've watched in my home. However, your dog MUST be friendly with other dogs as I often have overlapping dog guests. My kids love to snuggle and sleep with any furry guests. I hope to have the chance to love on your pup whenever you need me to care for him or her!

Hello! Welcome to my dog-filled life. I’m so glad you decided to consider our home. :)

WHO ARE WE?

I am a true animal lover. I have over a decade of experience caring for a variety of pets of all kinds and sizes. I am young, energetic, and passionate about animals! I have a rescued husky/lab mix named Izzo who is three years old, and a two year old rescued German Shorthaired Pointer named Wyatt. Both guys have great energy and LOVE playing with other dog friends. We also have 12 chickens in our backyard coop.

Follow along with our adventures on our Instagram, @Adventureswith2manydogs

WHY CHOOSE US?

Our large, securely fenced in backyard allows for lots of outdoor play time, and our couches are a perfect snoozing space. We also live 2 blocks from the Monon Trail which makes for awesome walks! We have a safe. Puppy-proof home. We have many repeat clients who we LOVE and have fostered over 20 dogs in the last 3 years for a local rescue organization. We also have experience with high-strung dogs, picky eaters, puppies to elderly dogs and everything in between. We are knowledgeable about different breeds. Is your dog afraid of thunderstorms? No problem! Do they like to sleep on the bed? Absolutely! Have pooch with medical needs? We got you covered! What about car-chasers? No worries at all.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

1. TONS of playtime! I often work from home, as does my fiancé, so dogs will not be left home alone for more than a couple of hours, depending on the day. I'm always pretty flexible.

2. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: If your dog prefers a crate, he is welcome to sleep there, or enjoy a favorite dog bed in my living room or with Izzo & Wyatt in one of the two bedrooms. At night, we gate off the kitchen to limit their access to our human food. :)

3. An abundance of photos of your dog eating, playing, snoozing, walking, or cuddling and updates, and we will gladly send them via rover message/text message/ carrier pigeon/smoke signals or whatever other method of communication that you prefer.

4. Professional and timely interactions.

5. A TIRED, HAPPY and HEALTHY dog waiting for your return. :)

THEREFORE...

I understand that your pets are an important part of your family, and they will be treated with the utmost respect, kindness, and love. ! I am very excited that I have many repeat clients that I have wonderful relationships with. Our clients, and their dogs, are family to us! Thanks for considering letting us be a part of your family and caring for your furry family members!!

A Pet's Paradise! *FULL-TIME SITTERIndianapolis, IN

Hi, my name is Libby & I'm a FULL-TIME PET SITTER! I am a professional Dog Trainer and I graduated from Animal Behavior College in December 2018. I have had a passion for animals since I can remember and currently have 4 animals of my own... 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have been working with animals for 5 years now and it is my dream job, I absolutely love it! I am currently offering doggie daycare during the weekdays, boarding 7 days a week, and drop in visits for cats or dogs & dog walks. I am experienced with giving all different types of medicine, dealing with a variety of breeds ranging in all sizes and temperaments, and handling multiple dogs at once. I have a large fenced in backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence. Potty breaks are as often as needed and we try to be outside as much as possible on weather permitting days so the dogs get plenty of exercise! It is the dogs’ world over at my house so whatever they want to do goes! If they want to play they will have plenty of toys to choose from & other dogs to interact with; if they would rather rest they will have a comfy place to take a snooze! Pictures and updates are as often as you would like & always feel free to check up on your pup any time during their stay. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!

*BOARDING CLIENTS: All boarding dogs interact with daycare dogs & any daycare activity is included in the price of boarding. Also, the price is per 24 hours, so depending on the time of pickup an additional charge may be added.

Please note that any animals coming to my house must be current on vaccinations and flea/tick preventative is recommended as all the animals they will be around are up to date as well. Thank you!

I'm a pet owner and animal loverIndianapolis, IN

I have had dogs my entire life and in my opinion they are the best company to keep. Currently, I have three dogs and they love every dog and person they meet. I've been dog sitting with Dog Vacay and Rover since 2014 so they all have become very well socialized and even have doggie best friends. My neighborhood is big and safe with lots of sidewalks so it's great for walking dogs. I also have a nice fenced in backyard for your pup to run and play. During warmer weather the dogs love to swim and splash around in the baby pool. All pups are welcome big, small, shy or energetic and no breed is ever discriminated against. My number one goal always is to provide your pup with a stress free home away from home experience. A place to be safe, comfortable and happy. I do offer discounted rates for extended stays and multiple dogs. Just send me a message with any questions!

Love for your Pups in Indy!Indianapolis, IN

We have 1 dog of our own who love to meet new friends! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be home most days, therefore your dogs will have 24/7 supervision. While I am working, my husband Brent is home to care for the dogs. We have a doggie proof house and a fenced in backyard that I'm sure your dog would love to explore. I am available to schedule a time for you and your dog to come and see the house and meet my dog before making the decision to board.

We have a toddler named Amelia, and she loves dogs already! We keep a very close eye on her when she's around the dogs. We also have the option of keeping your dog separated from her if you think that is best.

Why I love dog sitting

I have had my dog Leo, for 5 years now, and Brent has had dogs all his life.

About my yard

I have an acre backyard, of which about one fourth is fenced in by a 5 foot fence. I am able to see this area of the backyard from my kitchen, so I can keep and eye on the dogs while they play.

My experience administering medication

Yes. I am a Registered Nurse, and have experience giving my own dogs medications.
