She was always on time and kept me informed and sent me pics. I was nervous how my babies would do on my first time away. I knew they were in good hands when I got my reports. If I ever need to travel again, I know I can count on Janis to do a great job. Thanks so much Janis”

About: Hi! I’m Becca, a local dog mom to Lori and Winnie and a lifelong animal lover. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic pups who need a good walk to older dogs who prefer a slower pace and some extra attention. I’m offering drop-in visits and dog walks and am happy to help with potty breaks, feeding, walks, playtime, or simply giving your pet some company while you’re away. I’m reliable, attentive, and will treat your pets like my own! I work a third-shift job, so my schedule gives me flexibility during the afternoons and early evenings. I’m able to fit drop-in visits and walks into my routine while still having plenty of time to give each pet the attention and care they need. I’m respectful of each pet’s routine and your home. During drop-ins, I’ll make sure your pet has food and water, gets their needed potty break or walk, and gets plenty of attention and playtime. I’ll follow any specific instructions you leave and make sure your home is secure and just as I found it when I leave.

About: I got my first cat when I was 13, and now I have two cats of my own, Kali and Yuki. I’ve had experience caring for cats with different personalities and needs, and I also have experience caring for dogs. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own and want owners to feel easy knowing that their pets are in good hands. I currently work from 10-6 Mon-fri hence why I only have weekends open as they are mostly free! On weekends I’m able to walk your furry friends or just give them companionship at home and making sure they eat at a correct time! If I were to go to my clients home to care for their pets I would always be courteous and respectful towards the owners home. Always Making sure i know what the owner and their companion is comfortable with. Any worries or questions the client would have I would answer or reassure them 100%!

About: Hi! I’m Sidnie, a proud pet parent to three dogs and two cats. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and unique needs, and I understand how stressful it can be to leave them in someone else’s care. One of the biggest reasons I joined Rover is because two of my own dogs have anxiety in boarding and daycare settings. Finding someone I trust to care for them in the comfort of our home has always been important to me, and I want to provide that same peace of mind for other pet parents. Although I’m newer to Rover, I’ve spent the past eight years caring for my own pets every day. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and adapting to each pet’s individual routine and personality. I work downtown Indianapolis on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and remotely the rest of the week, giving me the flexibility to spend more quality time with pets throughout the day. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest. You’ll receive regular updates and photos throughout your booking, and I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I give my own. I work remotely most of the week, which gives me the flexibility to spend more time with pets throughout the day. On Mondays and Thursdays, I’m in downtown Indianapolis from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and I work from home the rest of the week. Every pet is different, so I carefully follow your care instructions and keep their routine as consistent as possible. Whether it’s medications, feeding schedules, potty breaks, or favorite walking routes, I’ll care for your pet the way you do.

About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for animals and have worked with dogs, cats, and other household pets of different sizes, temperaments, and needs. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, play with, and care for their pets while they were away. I genuinely love helping people and building connections within my community. I believe trust, communication, and reliability are the foundation of any great relationship—whether that’s caring for your pets, helping a neighbor, or simply being someone people can count on. My goal is to provide dependable, affordable pet care that gives owners peace of mind while they’re away. I understand that every family’s situation is different, so if pricing is a concern, feel free to reach out and let’s talk. I want quality pet care to be accessible while ensuring your pets receive the attention, love, and respect they deserve. When you book with me, I hope you feel like you’ve found more than just a pet sitter—I hope you’ve found someone you can trust, a friendly face in the community, and a person who genuinely cares about both you and your pets! I currently work part-time, allowing me to maintain a flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight stays on both weekdays and weekends. My goal is to provide dependable, affordable care so pet owners can feel comfortable knowing their pets are safe, loved, and cared for while they’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. While pet sitting provides extra income, my goal is much bigger than simply making a quick dollar. I genuinely enjoy helping people in my community and building relationships based on trust, kindness, and reliability. I want pet owners to have peace of mind knowing they’ve found someone who truly cares about their pets and treats them like family. My hope is that your pet looks forward to spending time with me, feels safe and comfortable in my care, and enjoys their time away from home just as much as you enjoy knowing they’re in good hands. I provide a calm, loving environment for cats and small dogs and take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and needs. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, exercise, or simply keeping them company, I strive to make a positive impact on both pets and their owners while creating lasting connections within the community.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Comfort

1 / 1
5.0 out of 5 stars

Savannah originally came to us for daily fluid sessions for my senior cat, and she has since grown into the person I trust with my whole household, four cats with very different personalities and medical needs. Most recently she visited while I was away, and she did far more than feed them. She played with them, spent real time with each one, gave medications gently and correctly, which is genuinely not easy with a fragile senior cat, and sent me updates that let me actually focus on being away instead of worrying. I came home to relaxed, well fed, emotionally settled and happy cats. More than a few things set Savannah apart. Every single one of my cats is comfortable with her, including the shy and skittish ones who normally vanish when anyone else walks in, and watching them choose to be around her still surprises me in the best way. She truly cares about my cats and their care, and regularly offers thoughtful ideas that have genuinely helped my sick cat’s healing. She continues to adjust to how my cat is feeling on any given day instead of just going through the motions. And beyond all the skill, she is simply a wonderful human being with a great sense of humor. When you are caring for chronically ill pets, things get heavy, and having someone who knows how to lighten the mood while still taking the work completely seriously is a gift. Gentle hands, a sharp mind, total reliability, and a heart for the animals. If your pets need medication, fluids, real companionship, or just someone you can trust completely in your home, Savannah is that person. I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone.

Savannah has been coming to our home for daily subcutaneous fluid sessions for my senior cat, who has kidney disease and a heart condition, and I genuinely do not know what we would do without her. She is skilled and confident with the fluid administration itself, my cat did not even flinch at his very first session with her, and she handles the needle, the setup, and the whole process like someone who truly knows what she is doing. Beyond the technical skill, her knowledge of general cat health has been a real comfort, she notices things, asks the right questions, and adjusts to how he is feeling on any given day rather than just going through the motions. On his harder days she reads him perfectly and knows when to take what he will allow instead of forcing a struggle, which matters enormously with a fragile cat. All of my cats are comfortable with her, including the shy ones, and she is gentle, patient, reliable, and communicates wonderfully after every visit. Caring for a chronically ill pet is stressful, and finding someone you can trust with actual medical care in your home is rare. Savannah is that person. I recommend her without a single reservation, especially for anyone whose pet needs medication, fluids, or just genuinely attentive and caring hands.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Mount Comfort

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
