“I had a mandatory business trip and my pet sitter fell through fairly last minute. My 6 year old cat, Ollie, has separation anxiety (I rescued him from abuse when he was 6 months old) and he is not used to being alone for long periods of time because I work out of the house and am home most of the time. While he's friendly, he's not super snuggly or interactive with strangers; he just needs someone to be 'present'. We had a meet-and-greet prior to booking the stay- She asked all of the pertinent questions about his personality and daily routine (Charlie, my 21 year old cockatiel, is easy- LOL). I was rest-assured things would work out so I booked the stay. Deanne was wonderful with both Ollie and Charlie. She sent me updates throughout the day and plenty of photos letting me know they both were doing well (although I could tell in a couple of the photos Ollie was a little sad... But that is completely normal- As long as he was eating and following his regular routine I knew he'd 'survive'). This also helped me not stress out or worry about my pets and be able to focus on my trip / business dealings and that's honestly also a big part of traveling for me. I arrived home, and while I know both Ollie and Charlie missed me, everything went right back to normal and that's what told me Deanne cared for them very well. She also was very respectful of my home and kept it clean during her stay. I'm very glad I found her and will be using her services again. I highly recommend Deanne to care for your pets!”

About: I've taken care of pets from as earliest as birth and into their elderly years, since I was 8. My family would occasionally breed our American Akitas. I've trained them, bathed them, cleaned up after them, and administered medications. They are a ton of work, but always worth the effort when we saw them finally meet their forever homes. I am available for whatever service you need, except for boarding, most days of the week except Thursdays after 2 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays before 2 pm. I am unable to care for your pet at my residence. We have 5 dogs here currently and I wouldn't want to overwhelm your pet with so many new faces. I am more than willing to be as accommodating as needed to care for them in your home, walking them, or simply letting out for a potty break.

I grew up with Australian shepherds, German shepherds, cats, hamsters, and even tarantulas! I am extremely comfortable walking dogs, giving them medication via food, and managing when to let them out to go to the bathroom. I have lived primarily with big dogs, but have had close relationships with small dogs through friends and my husband’s family whom I have dog sat for in the past. In addition, I am a massive cat lover. I was given a kitten when I was 8 years old and had her for 19 years until she just recently passed. In her senior years, she had both hypothyroidism and asthma so I am well-versed in giving cats inhalers and medication in various forms (via dropper, ear application, in treats, and in food). I am a dependable dog and cat sitter/caretaker because I know how much your animal means to you. I’m an extremely organized person so you can count on me to be reliable with pick-up, drop-off, and everything in between. Taking care of your animal would not be a job to me because I am so happy to do it! I work all day Tuesday and Thursday and the occasional Monday, Wednesday or Friday depending on when I am scheduled (only 4 hours shifts on those days) so I could watch an animal full time during three weekdays in addition to weekends. I am still more than willing to watch an animal for an entire week and either modify my work schedule to be with them more, or just make sure they are set up for the days I am in office. I have a non-smoking home with one cat and two people including myself. My home would be an extremely relaxing environment for a pet and due to my flexible schedule, I can dedicate nearly full-time care to an animal. Since I have a cat, I would only really be able to have dogs stay overnight for a couple-day stint since I'd prefer to keep them separate. In my client's home I would offer the same care in addition to respecting the environment. I'm naturally a very clean person and always pick up after myself.
