“Heather has been so great with my very energetic 1 year old, goldendoodle. She has been so patient and makes sure to follow up on behavior correction. Archie loves his walks with her. Great communication regarding scheduling. Definitely recommend!”
“Donna was absolutely wonderful with my girl Patty today. She is very knowledgeable and patient, plus she knows just what to do with my girl when she needs it. Very good use of treats at perfect times and an all around excellent walk. Will be booking again for sure!”

“Kayla was amazing! She walked both of our schnauzers and learned their individual personalities immediately. One of my dogs was sick when I left and Kayla was very communicative which relieved much of my stress. We will most definitely be using Kayla in the future!”

“Kaitlin is wonderful with my dog. I can tell Millie is a fan and she gets so excited when Kaitlin shows up for her walks. It really is great I can trust someone to care for me girly while I’m at work.”

About: I’ve grown up loving, training, and taking care of pets of all ages since I was little! I’m a very reliable and caring pet sitter and your baby will be treated like family with me! I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets with someone you trust, and I’ll always make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks or just some company, I’m beyond happy to match their energy, routine, and needs. 🩷 I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m usually free all day on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and the other week days I normally get off work around 2 pm! My schedule is currently pretty flexible, which allows me to give your pets lots of love and attention when needed. 🤍 I know many pets feel most comfortable at home, so I’ll ensure to create a calm, loving, and safe environment while you’re away. I’m committed to following feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and any other specific care preferences to help keep your pet happy and stress-free.
About: I’ve taken care of cats for as long as I can remember. Dogs I began caring for when I was 8years old. I started with family dogs and when I was old enough I volunteered at the humane society. As a 4-Her of 10 years, I showed rabbits and goats as well as my cat. I have 2 cats of my own and a pit bull who my husband and I rescued from the humane society in 2017. My husband and I participated in a dog training course at Petco where I worked for 2 and a half years and have continued to engage our Lucy In training on a daily basis. At Petco, I loved being able to help customers find what they want/need to make their furr baby(s) happy. I also graduated from the veterinary assistant program at lbcc May 2018. I am a full time a stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible. I will likely almost always have my 2 kiddos with me who are, 2 and 4 years old. I do not currently offer any services in my own home. When I walk your fur baby, it’ll be around your neighborhood. If you prefer your baby get a walk in the park, I’m happy to accommodate that request for an additional fee.
“I can’t say enough good things about Erin!!. From the very beginning, it’s been clear that she truly cares :) Not just about doing the job, but about Otis as an individual. You can tell she pays attention to his personality, his energy, and what he needs that day. Otis absolutely adores her, and as a dog parent, that means everything to me. I always feel at ease knowing he’s with someone who is kind, patient, and genuinely loving toward him. She goes above and beyond, and it shows in how happy and comfortable he is after every walk. If you’re looking for someone who treats your dog like their own and leads with kindness and care, I couldn’t recommend her more.”

About: Hello! My name is Jen and I am a huge dog lover. Not only have I owned my own personal dogs for over 9 years now, but I also volunteer on my off time for a non profit dog rescue and I have also walked dogs at my local shelter in my free time. I have a great amount of experience when it comes to dogs and cats from my own personal pets, to the volunteer work I do. I have cared for puppies, seniors and dogs of all different sizes/breeds. Attention to detail and being well organized and routined is how I live my life, and that is what I will provide for your animals, along with lots of love! With that said, I always make sure that my dogs and dogs that are in my care are being well taken care of. Dogs in my care will always be under supervision, while in the house and outside, other than while I am at work. While I am at work, I have two spare bedrooms that your dog can hang out in! I will also pay special attention to any instructions given on the care of your dogs. (Food, medicine, exercise requirements etc) I have a fully fenced back yard that not only my dogs love, but I'm sure yours will too. Again with direct supervision your dog and I can hang outside and enjoy the sunshine or play fetch, whatever they may like! I also love near a city park where I can walk your dog for their daily exercise. My husband and I work full time during the week, but we both work no more than one mile from our home, we also have a doggie camera inside our house to check in on our home while your dog is there. I live and work in a very central location in Salem, it is very convenient for drop ins and walks and is also a very convenient location for dropping off dogs for any dog boarding and day care that is requested. I would love the opportunity to help you with your precious dogs and/or cats! ***For dog boarding, most times I will ask for a meet and greet before booking the stay. I want to ensure your dog is comfortable in my home with my two senior dogs. ***For cats, I offer only drop in visits
About: I have taken care dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I am patient and engage with each pet at their speed. Building trust and respect are my top values when caring for pets. As a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society, I understand the unique needs that each pet has and am eager to meet them. I work a part-time job with 6–8 hour shifts on select days. I keep my availability on Rover up to date and will always communicate in advance if a scheduling conflict arises. I’ve cared for pets in a variety of housing situations. I take my time to understand what precautions I can take to keep all pets safe.

About: I have fostered over fifty dogs and cats for the SPCA of Northern Nevada, and fostered my cat Chandler as a kitten before adopting him. I have an open schedule with a lot of daily availability and my own vehicle, and can assist with pet care on weekends and weekdays. I am patient and loving to all pets, and have a strong understanding of the needs of different breeds of dogs and cats at different life stages. I live with my partner who has a year of experience working at a dog day care with a variety of pups, and has volunteered with me as a cat socializer as well.
About: I started on Rover back in 2018 boarding dogs in my home! Now I'm available to do drop in visits for dogs and cats. I have a cat of my own named Peach who is 5 now. Dogs and cats tend to like me, which is a plus! I work at a bank full time but looking to make extra money in my free time. I'm mostly available evenings after work and weekends! I work Mon-Fri but I'm available in the evenings after 5:30 pm. I have open availability on weekends at the moment. I have a lot of experience watching dogs in the past, whether it be for friends/family or clients on Rover. Recently, I've been doing drop ins for cats and I really enjoy it! When it comes to taking care of your pet in your own home, I think it best to tell me what needs to be done during the visit. Where food/supplies are, if they need to be put in a kennel before I leave, what their habits are like and what to look out for if anything. Everyone has different rules when it comes to their animals and I will be 100% respectful of your home and property.

About: Know what it's like to own dogs since childhood. Tell me what they love, like, and hate. Love to bring gifts for the dog(s) anytime. Also been a great house sitter and pet sitter for my mother in the past when she visited grandkids for a week in California. As far in advance as possible since I also do crowd management seasonally but haven't worked since April 1st. P.S. A page from the daily calendar for Life Hacks encouraged me to join and I do know someone on Rover.com named Stephen. He's a dog sitter, owner, and trainer. I live in a condo on the ground level with a patio and a view of Mill Creek. I'd prefer to house and/or pet watch at your place.

I found out sitting with works I will follow instructions plus add my own routine with each animal in order to make animals calm. Animal treats are always great to bring I follow instructions, I try to sit with animals to except trust & safety from animals. With permission, I always bring cat & dog treats.

“We love Whitney, but, more importantly, our dog does! He's a bit skittish and slow to warm up to new people, but he looks forward to his daily walks with her (I can tell because he gets depressed on weekends when she's not there ;) ) She's reliable and quick to communicate, and we trust her with Bismarck.”

About: I've been called a dog whisperer too many times to count! I absolutely love dogs, cats, and other furry or feathered friends. I grew up with guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. I'm experienced in cage-cleaning, play time, giving medication, walking, and light training. I have pet-sat for several dogs, cats, and smaller friends. I highly respect any rules or training routines you and your fur babies adhere to. As long as I have clear instructions, I will stick to your guidelines. I have friends whose dogs have high-maintenance routines, and I know how awful it is when someone else interferes with those routines. I will love your pets like my own, but I will absolutely follow whatever expectations you set. I have flexible availability this summer. I am a student in an accelerated degree program for elementary education. I have July and August off, which allows me lots of time to become your pets' new bestie! I can care for pets in your home. If you are in need of any other cleaning or home services when I visit or stay at your home, that can be arranged. I also believe in leaving things better than I found them. You won't even know I was there!
About: I have had 4 dogs and 7 cats throughout my life and have held a special connection with each of them! I have been taking care of pets since I was very young and have experience walking dogs and taking care of cats, both my pets and other peoples pets! It fits easily and naturally into my weekly schedule! I am a student at Willamette University but while on summer break, I have a lot of free time outside of my part-time job. I find caring for animals enjoyable and natural and easily apart of my daily routine for my own pets. I will ensure the pets I am caring for are comfortable with me and are excited to go on walks or interact with me!
About: I have been a pet caregiver since I was a very small girl. I have helped Mama's deliver babies when needed. I have even done mouth to mouth and chest compressions on new horns a few times when needed. I have a huge heart for pets and animals of all kinds. My family of pets are trained either to alert me to go potty, use a box or crate themselves. I am able to give medication as needed and bathe if needed. My children are PET TRAINED. I have very strict rules in place about all animals big or small. I really hope you consider us in your upcoming needs. Happy New Year! I am always home except for appointments which we can discuss and decide if on those days I can meet your pets needs or if another sitter is better. I do not smoke in my home. I have 4 children, all pet trained and pet friendly. I do not have a large or fenced yard BUT I have an absolutely amazing park that abuts to my house so there is plenty of opportunity to run and play. I am at home all day for the entire week so I am able to keep a good schedule for my fury clients. I don’t have a problem with med or potty schedules. I listen to their needs. I watch for cues to hunger or need to potty. I feed and walk my pets or clients pets. When they need bathed I handle that as well. Medications in my house are no problem at all as over the years I’ve learned a lot about injectable and oral medications. I’m not the master for certain but I try my best to be your pets next best friend while I am with them.

About: I’ve pet sat for over 10 years for friends & family. I’d love to care for yours. I have two tabby’s who are well trained and have been around dogs in the past. My pup unfortunately passed away last summer and I’m not ready to get on full time but would love to care for yours as I cared for her and give them the best experience while you’re away. I have the weekend free, Columbia and I tend to go on hikes and or at the park. During the week, I go home directly to let my own dog out to the bathroom. I will follow any instructions following your pet. I understand how important consistency is. We have a side yard for playing, potty breaks or sunbathing.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
