“Marissa did great! We could tell from the very first meet-and-greet moment that Marissa would have complete (loving) control of our dogs. She was prompt with communication and she did great with our dogs (including our “special needs” dog)! We highly recommend her, except (selfishly) for the days we wish to use her services. 😉”

“Melissa was great! We have a timid but loving dog and he warmed up to her right away. Everything was just as we left it when we returned home and Melissa will be our first choice in the future!”

“Vanessa took great care of our fur babies. She kept in contact with us and updated with daily pictures. She was also very responsive to the questions we had. Will definitely try to book with her again.”

“Emmalee did a fantastic job taking care of my senior dog for 12 days while I was out of the country. I received updates often and was so great to see my dog while traveling. Emmalee cared for my dog and house like it was her’s and I will book with Emmalee again when the need arises.”
“Ana was AMAZING!! So quick to respond and was amazing with our dogs! Being flexible with our fussy babies. Can’t wait to reach out to her next time we need someone to watch our dogs.”

“Erica was amazing to work with! Extremely flexible, sent me tons of pictures while I was gone, I’m very close to my dog and haven’t left him with anyone before. Erica made me feel more than comfortable, took care of my home but most importantly loved and took more than great care of my boy! Thank you again Erica!!”

About: Me and my family have been loving and living with dogs since I was born! I am good with senior dogs, puppies, etc. My family has had many types of dogs from Daschund to St. Bernard, so I am comfortable with all types. I play hockey, so it takes up my early mornings from 6-11, but I am available all day after that. Most of summer, I am very free and can do anytime. I can do overnight stays as well or all day. I have a fenced yard and I currently live with a 6 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix. My dog is okay with just leaving food out, but I have dealt with dogs with specific diets, rotations, etc from our own family dogs. I love any type of animal, and I enjoy spending time with them like playing, just chilling around, and constant pets. I don’t usually approach dogs unless they come to me first (just for safety and comfort for the animal because of strangers), but I always give them the attention they deserve!
“Kimmie was wonderful!!! A big storm came through on one of the nights Kimmie was watching our dogs and when the storm sirens went off in the middle of the night Kimmie made sure the dogs were safe in our (unfinished) basement. She went above and beyond to stay with them to keep them calm, so that was a big plus! She did a great job communicating with us when we were away and our dogs seemed to thrive with her. That’s even more notable considering our younger dog lost his sight a few weeks prior to the dates we used her, and she navigated that unexpected concern beautifully!”

About: I've had dogs since I was a kid. I've had a German Shephard, labs, poodle mixes, weimaraner mix, an American Staffordshire. and a dachshund. (I've had cats as well.) I listen to 'Katie K9' a local animal lover/educator who has a radio show and I watch Cesar Milan's Dog whisperer! I've taken dog training classes with my dogs in the past. I am a nurse and work some ‘off’ hours which means my availability varies week to week. My schedule is not very flexible but you can always ask :) I will care for your pets respectfully. I will communicate with you to find out what exactly the needs of you and your pet(s) are. I live in a townhome up one flight of stairs.
About: I have been around animals my whole life and always enjoy caring for them! I have owned a puppy so I am skilled in puppy needs, and I am ready for any challenges I may be faced with! I have also stayed overnight caring for my families pets many times and I really enjoy it! I will be working part-time as a life guard in the summer, so I will definitely have plenty of time to care for your pets! The only other activity I have going on is bringing kids to gymnastics on mondays, wednesdays, and thursdays at 8:30 am, and then camping with my families some weekends! At my house I have a fenced in yard, while at other homes I am very attentive to detail and instructions when caring. I always keep a careful eye to make sure of pet safety.

“Nelson did a great job watching our four animals. Communication was clear, everything was handled responsibly, and we came home to happy pets and a well-kept house. Would absolutely book again.”

“Megan is amazing! She went above and beyond while watching our 2 dogs! Our dogs (and us) have some anxiety when we leave for a trip but knowing they were in such great hands is a huge weight off our shoulders! She will send updates and pictures so you never have to worry how they're doing! She even got our dogs treats which is soo sweet! We will definitely be booking with Megan when we go on another trip!”

“Joanne took care of my many cats, both indoor and outdoor, for 3 nights. She is very loving toward the kitties and conscientious about feeding schedules, etc. I got lots of photos while I was gone. I will definitely call on her again.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Frontier is $41
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Frontier
Adam is fantastic! He made time to come and meet the fur babies before the scheduled appointment. We truly appreciate his willingness to accommodate us, even on such short notice. He knew how to handle their different personalities and patiently allowed one of the little ones to warm up to him. With his calm demeanor and solid knowledge of dogs and their needs, he put us at ease. He stayed in touch and kept us updated throughout. By asking thoughtful questions, he made sure we got what we needed and were happy with the care. Our babies definitely got spoiled, and we finally found the peace of mind we were looking for. Don’t hesitate to give him a shot. You won’t regret it!

Sarah was great and we would definitely recommend and/or book her again. Her love for dogs is obvious and we know our dogs were well cared for during her stay with them. One of our pups is somewhat reactive to other dogs while on walks, which we’re cautious of when others care for her as (of course) this is not something everyone may be super comfortable with. Even so, Sarah made sure this didn’t stop them from getting out and about on adventures anyway and we trusted that she would be able to make that call/give them a great weekend if any issues did come up. Thanks so much, Sarah! ♥️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Frontier on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 126 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Frontier. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Frontier walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Frontier maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Frontier choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
