About: Leaving your pet with someone new takes trust. My goal is to help you feel informed and reassured while giving your pet patient, attentive care that respects their personality, routine, and boundaries. My hands-on experience includes two and a half years caring for my rescued Chihuahua mix and two cats. I also volunteered socializing cats at a shelter when I was younger and, more recently, volunteered regularly at a farm animal sanctuary from April through October. There, I helped with feeding, fresh water, cleaning, preparing barns, and evening routines. I’m especially comfortable with cats and understand that building trust often means offering quiet company, respecting their space, and letting them choose when to interact. Caring for my own sensitive, reactive small dog has also taught me to watch body language closely, stay aware of my surroundings, and create distance from situations that make him uncomfortable. I treat every pet as an individual. Whether they enjoy sniff-filled walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I take time to learn what helps them feel comfortable. I let them set the pace for affection and interaction rather than forcing a connection. I’ve been vegan for seven years as part of my personal commitment to animal welfare. That commitment includes respecting each pet’s dietary needs—I’m comfortable handling meat-based food and following their established feeding routine. You can expect clear communication, thoughtful updates, and photos while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pets and learn what helps them feel safe, understood, and cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan walks, drop-ins, and house sits around your pet’s routine. For new clients, I prefer at least three days’ notice so we have time to arrange a meet-and-greet and make sure we’re a good fit before confirming a booking. During house sits, I stay overnight but may leave during the day for other pet-care bookings, errands, and personal commitments. Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s usual schedule, potty-break needs, and how long they can comfortably be left alone, so you know what to expect. I take a careful, detail-oriented approach to caring for both your pets and your home. At our meet-and-greet, I’ll ask about feeding instructions, walking routines, behavior, triggers, household rules, and emergency contacts. I welcome detailed care notes and will follow the plan we agree on. On walks, I’ll stay aware of our surroundings, keep your dog leashed, and avoid unfamiliar dogs or greetings unless we’ve specifically discussed them. I pay attention to body language and give pets space when they show discomfort rather than pushing them into an interaction. In your home, I’ll be mindful of doors, gates, and escape risks, keep feeding and litter areas tidy, and respect your instructions about access to rooms and outdoor spaces. For cats, I’ll offer attention without forcing handling or disturbing them when they need space. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes about how your pet is doing and communicate promptly if I notice a change in their behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits. My aim is to maintain the familiar care they’re used to while giving them patience and support during your time away.

I've done a bunch of pet and house sitting on another platform, as well as for family, friends and acquaintances, besides having my own pets or sharing them with past partners. I used to practice massage therapy and reiki. I bring a similar intention to handling pets that I brought to responding to clients needs. My dachshund is an older guy, and he is both deaf and struggling with dementia, which means that he requires a lot of care and help. Nicole was incredibly accommodating with regard to his needs - organizing her household to make it safe for him, watching him closely when he was around other dogs, etc. Nicole is also very gracious. For example, I found out upon returning from a two week trip that my dog had been waking her up really early. Rather than complaining about that - which would have been totally justified! - she figured out a way to deal with his early morning needs. About: I enjoyed house-sitting for various friends and family through college. I grew up owning a dog, and my ASD-focused high school had a weekly dog class requirement that, in addition to simple training classes, used dogs as a metaphor for understanding nonverbal communication. Because of that, I can easily intuit how animals are feeling in a given moment. I always approach cats and dogs with a calm persona, trying to meet them on their level. Happy to be either a cuddle buddy or a meal ticket! I was recently laid off from my 9-5, and I’ve decided to switch my gears for a while. I’m available almost full-time. However, I am a freelance musician with an infrequent and unpredictable performance schedule. I’ll always strive to keep my availability as up-to-date as possible to avoid any potential surprises. As I stated previously, I’m always working to make any animal feel safe around me, and that they can trust me. When I first meet a cat or dog, I always kneel to meet them at their level. At home, I live simply. I’m not ashamed to call myself a homebody. I do practice frequently, but I can take measures to greatly reduce my volume or simply avoid practice during an extended stay, pending any future gigs. I live in a condo right on the estuary, with a walking path that leads right to Jack London Sq. There are other dog owners in the building. It’s a good community, and right by Estuary Park. I may not have a backyard, but it’s a darn good compromise.

About: I have taken care of friends and neighbors pets since I was a kid and love to have a fur friend around. Happy to take them out and walk and explore nature. I like to run and hike and bike and a companion on the way is a bonus. They will be greeted with calm warmth and care. I work on trips and when I am home I am home and can be flexible about where I work. This allows me to be present to the pets I care for and to adjust to their needs. I will probably have a run or workout at some point in the day or meet a friend but am quite present. I have a fenced backyard and live by myself in a peaceful quiet space. I enjoy a walk with a fur friend to get out and move and consider it a bonus to have a buddy along.
