“Truly, truly could not think of a better person for this job. Maggie is known for her love of animals-- stopping to greet them while walking through the neighborhood is her norm. Maggie volunteers at her neighborhood rescue daily (literally 7 days a week) with great joy, and has matched many of the folks in our community to their perfect pet. This year, Maggie got a text in her rescue-volunteers group chat that a pit bull had been hit on the side of the road. She immediately went to help, assessed the situation and the dog's behavior and needs, found the contacts necessary, and took the dog to the ER because her leg appeared to be broken (all while keeping the dog calm and secure). While caring for the dog in her home (tending to her through the night, taking her to appts for her leg, building a relationship with her, etc.) she managed to find her a foster home while the dog made her way through the amputation process. Now named Daphne, this dog and her mom now live happily together all due to Maggie's love and dedication to animals, her ability to build relationships with animals, and instincts in providing what that specific animals's personality needs. Know that your pet will be in the utmost loving hands with Maggie. She's respectful, knows how to read animal behavior, thinks ahead, and prioritizes care in every interaction. The only risk in booking Maggie is that your animal loves her so much they'll want to see her every day :) it's happened to me! :)”
