“Debra did a great job of making us and our dog, Skye, feel welcome. She sent us daily updates with pictures of Skye with her family or out taking walks. She was a last minute provider for us as our usual care person was not available for the dates we needed. She only keeps one guest dog at a time. Skye and her dog, Ginger, got along well.”

“Mateo and his family took such good care of my Daisy for almost a week in their lovely, quiet home in the hills. I got a picture or a video (or both!) every day, with a little reassuring note that was much appreciated!”

“Hannah was amazing. She was able to accommodate us last minute for a holiday weekend. She sent us updates along with videos of Archer doing all his favorite activities. We know he was in great hands and will definitely call her for any future needs”

“My husky, Koda, had a fantastic time with Valentina & Stephen and their dog Luke. He ran and played in their gigantic, beautiful yard, got lots of attention and cuddles and was taken to the park and restaurants with them. They took excellent care of Koda I can't recommend Val and Stephen more highly. I've already booked another stay for Koda!”

“My fur ladies had an absolute blast at their overnight stay! The backyard area had so much room to roam. Joyce offered great tips to help advance the little Ninas manners- especially at bedtime. Great home environment with a chill vibe.”

“Holly was absolutely amazing. Me and my fiance dropped off Maggie not knowing what to expect but she had a blast with plenty of room to run and sniff. We got multiple pictures every day especially super cute ones. I cannot sing her praise enough this was absolutely amazing and 11/10 would recommend.”

“Tracey provided such a great experience for my dog Hazel and for me while I was gone!! Tracey did an outstanding job keeping me informed and providing me with the reassurance that let me relax during my trip. I recommend her sitter services!”

“Bryanna understands dogs and dog behavior, is so professional, and trust worthy. I was very nervous leaving my dog with someone new but it was amazing. Was provided updates throughout the day, will definitely rebook again.”

“Elizabeth and Coco were so welcoming to Rocky. I appreciate Elizabeth's flexibility in watching Rocky while I attended a wedding nearby. She was in regular communication about how Rocky adjusted, and sent pics of her cuddling with both dogs. She took great care of my little guy. She lives in a beautiful beach home.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! She took such great care of my dog—always by her side, making sure she was never lonely. My dog got plenty of activities, fresh air, and attention every day. She even gave her a bath before returning her, and my dog came back refreshed, fluffy, and super happy! It’s clear she truly loves animals and treats them like her own. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“Great family! Never worried once-they even posted an update with pictures on our profile for us. Our dog fell in love with this family and it was a little hard to get her to leave them :) If you love your dog like family-this is the place you want them to be when they can't be with you!”
“Gigi did a great job watching my Maltipoo dog for 10 nights. Her family provided a true home for our pup, and I’ll always be grateful! She took great care of him, and took him on multiple walks a day. She has went above and beyond by brushing his hair and teeth, cleaning his eyes, and giving him a bath. She provided a lot of photos and videos and his list of activities that day which made us feel relieved that my fur baby is in good hand and having fun. He came home clean, happy and content. Highly recommend for anyone looking to board their pup! Thanks again for taking such good care of Ethan :)”

“Paul is amazing! He took such great care of my two large breeds dogs. He sent several pictures over the two days they were with him amd I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my nervous settled girl settled in. It’s very obvious that Paul enjoys caring for dogs and I would book with him again without hesitation. Bruce and Ruby say thank you!”

“JD is great. He is one of the best dog sitters we’ve ever had. He is a good communicator and answers all texts immediately and updates you with many pics at least twice a day. You’ll never be unsure whether or not your dog is being taken care of. He’s amazing with all breeds and understood what it takes to keep our English Bulldog clean and maintained (as all owners of wrinkly dogs know what the daily regimen entails). Whether it’s a short stay or a longer boarding, JD is someone to trust!”

“Michael and wife Patti gook wonderful care of Gigi for a week. Without hesitation, I booked them for a return visit. Their house and yard is ideal-- fully-fenced front and rear, no restrictions on furniture, and a dog door (their own little dog recently passed away, sadly.) They even invited Gigi to sleep on their bed. Patti took Gigi on a couple of walks to the beach and gave lots of tummy rubs. It was clear from Gigi bouncing around their house when I returned to pick her up that she absolutely enjoyed her doggy vacation!”

“I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Yolanda for taking such amazing care of my dog while I was away! 🐾❤️ From the moment we met, I could tell my pup was in great hands. Yolanda was not only professional and reliable but also incredibly kind, patient, and loving with my dog. I got regular updates, adorable photos, and total peace of mind knowing my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. It’s never easy leaving your pet behind, but Yolanda made it feel effortless. I came home to a calm, happy dog—and that says it all. If you're looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely passionate about animals, I can't recommend Yolanda enough!”

About: Serving Aromas and surrounding area. As a lifelong animal lover with more than 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, horses, emus, chickens, and even a feral cat colony, I understand that every animal deserves patience, compassion, and individualized care. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving, and enriching environment where your dog or cat can relax, play, and feel at home while you're away. Located on three beautiful acres in Aromas, California, my property offers a peaceful park-like setting with plenty of room to explore safely. Safety is my highest priority, and dogs are never left unattended outdoors. Every guest receives attentive supervision, plenty of exercise, and lots of affection throughout the day. Your dog's stay may include walks, nature hikes, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, cuddle time, and, for suitable dogs, adventures to local beaches and trails. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet place to relax, I tailor care to their individual personality and needs. Inside, dogs and cats enjoy a spacious 2,800-square-foot home where they are welcomed as members of the family. They can lounge on comfortable furniture, sleep on the bed if permitted by their owners, or rest in their own crate if that is their normal routine. I share my home with my gentle 11-year-old pit bull, who gets along well with dogs, cats, and the farm animals on the property. Because I value safety and positive experiences for every guest, I carefully evaluate compatibility and strive to create a calm, stress-free environment. When your dog stays with me, they're not staying in a kennel—they're joining a home filled with love, experience, and genuine respect for animals. My goal is for both you and your dog to enjoy complete peace of mind, knowing your family member is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your dog or cat. I'm semi-retired and take advantage of our beautiful central coast daily, either walking, hiking, or playing on the beach. We start our day in the morning with a nice sniff, play, or zoomie time on the property. After breakfast we'll do a walk on the beach, a hike (depending on your pet) or playtime on the property. My dog is getting older so he's usually good for about 3 miles and can't really do strenuous hikes. He loves the beach so we also take a late morning beach walk. Aromas also has a lovely dog park now, so if your pup is social that's a fun place to go. For more athletic dogs, there are some incredible hiking trails in this area. Afternoon chores start normally around 5, when I walk the property and feed and check on my goats and emus. This is more play time for your fur baby, as we watch the sunset and settle in for the night. Where does your pet sleep? They are welcome on the furniture or my bed. I also have extra dog beds for those pets who like their space. I have a completely fenced yard with plenty of space to roam. With the exception of a couple of 2-3 hour windows 2 to 3 days per week, your pet is never alone. I do have stairs so if your pet needs help going up and down, I will block the stairs so there are no accidents.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
