“HANNILIE showed great compassion for our dog. It was comforting that she took videos of Finnegan playing in the yard with the other dog. It brought comfort and reassurance to us as this was Finnegan's first stay away from home. We would highly recommend Hannilie to anyone seeking a competent and caring boarding for their dog.”

“I can’t say enough about Steven and his family, they welcomed my dog into there home like she was there own. I felt very comfortable and so did my dog with Steven. I got regular updates and pictures. I am so happy I found Steven on Rover.”

“Carla was great! I’ve never left my dogs with anyone other than family, so I was honestly really nervous. Now that I have Daisy, my 2.5-year-old rescue, I needed to find someone I could trust. My vet recommended Rover, which helped, and after reading Carla’s reviews I felt much better. She was super communicative before the booking, and when I dropped Daisy off and saw the fenced-in yard (something she doesn’t get at home), I knew she’d love it. Carla also had a separate room set up for her to sleep in, which I really appreciated. When I picked Daisy up, she was happy and relaxed—it was obvious she had a great time. I’ll definitely be booking with Carla again. So glad I found someone I can trust. Thanks, Carla!”

“So accommodating and friendly. This was our first time boarding, and pretty instantly we knew our pup was in good hands! The pictures were so appreciated, and we’re incredibly grateful for the care our dog was given.”

“Tammie came through for Me and Bean at the last minute. Her daughters and her accommodated Bean all the while he was there. Tammie is very friendly and personable. I know Bean us in good hands with her and her family. She kept me updated and responded quickly. She sent me pictures of my happy fellow. I couldn't be more pleased with her services.”

“Cosmo had a wonderful time with Sriram and his family. We got regular updates including photos. They were very flexible to accommodate all our requests to keep him and us at ease. We will certainly send Cosmo back to them whenever we need boarding for him. Highly recommend them.”

“Sandra was amazing with our gizmo the day she had her. She took excellent care of him. Shared updates and photos, as this was our first time using this service. We are so very pleased and happy and will be booking her service again hands down. She’s very compassionate and loving.”

“We are so lucky to have found Morgan! When our long time dog sitter moved away, we needed to find a new sitter for our two energetic German Shorthairs. From the beginning, Morgan was wonderful. She was responsive to all of our questions. She has a large, fenced-in backyard which was a must. During our time away, Morgan kept us updated with messages and pictures which helped us appreciate that the dogs were in great hands. We also appreciated her willingness to let us bring their big dog beds to help them feel more “at home”. When we picked up our pups, I could tell right away how happy and well-cared for they were. We will definitely be using Morgan again!”

About: I am a true animal lover and I would treat your animals as my own. I have lots of pet care experience from having my own of 2 cats and 1 dog and taking care of some friends. I have done 2 years of pet therapy with my own dog and completed basic to advanced dog training. I have volunteered for father john animal house and eleventh hour rescue to get some shelter experience and more dog exposure. I would prefer to work with small to medium dog size. My second hobby is animal training which is a rewarding experience to me from dog socialization to learning basic commands. I just love working with dogs and is rewarding in seeing the dog learned the command. As i like to walk daily, pets fit into my daily schedule perfectly. Our daily morning schedule usually 7 days a week is potty upon awakening, breakfast and playtime upon first hour. Then a morning walk and another one around dinner time. I have a unfenced yard but believe exercise is a high requirement for the dog. What i do in place is 2 daily neighborhood walks and take her occasionally to local parks to walk around for different smells and meet other friendly dogs. Also believe in going to any local dog events for shelters to give dog interactions/ socialization.
“Aleja was great! This was our first time leaving Lucy with somebody that wasn’t a family or friend. I was so nervous at first, but. Aleja sent me frequent updates and pictures. It made me feel so much better to see her so happy in all the pictures. It definitely put me at ease. I will definitely use Aleja again.”

“Leila and her two kids did a great job taking care of my 7 year old Yorkie x Bichon Frise baby Toto. I know that Toto was a bit of a handful since she missed her mom while she was staying with Leila for 2 nights. Leila even gave her a bath when it was needed. Would definitely recommend.”

“Jonathan took care of my two dogs for 6 days. Overall everything went really well, from communication, to drop off and pick-up, to caring for them daily. He sent pictures regularly to let me know how they were doing. My dogs came back home happy and healthy.”

“As a proud dog owner, I highly recommend Brody as a dog sitter! He recently took care of my beloved furry friend, Ace, and I couldn't be more thrilled with his exceptional service. From the moment I dropped Ace off, I knew he was in good hands. Brody has a natural way with dogs, and Ace took to him immediately. Brody was warm and welcoming, and he took the time to get to know Ace's routine, preferences, and personality. Throughout Ace's stay, Brody kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which was such a comfort. I could see that Ace was happy, relaxed, and well-cared for. Brody went above and beyond to ensure that Ace had everything he needed, from plenty of exercise and playtime to lots of love and attention. When I picked Ace up, he was happy and healthy, and it was clear that he had formed a strong bond with Brody. I was impressed with the cleanliness and organization of Brody's home, and I appreciated the detailed notes he provided about Ace's stay. Overall, I cannot recommend Brody highly enough. He is a true professional, and he clearly loves what he does. If you're looking for a trustworthy, caring, and experienced dog sitter, look no further than Brody. Thank you, Brody, for taking such great care of Ace!”

“It wasn't easy for me to find a sitter for Sugar on short notice, because Sugar needed a sitter who had no other pets. I am so grateful that Michael hosted my baby! I could tell that Michael cared for her, and Sugar was very happy with him. We have a time share in the Poconos, and I will definitely use Michael next year, and any time we plan another vacation in the area. Thank you, Michael!”

“Erin was great with our three dogs. It was their first time staying at someone else's house and they were acting up. She was willing to bring them back to my house and watch them there. I love that she was flexible and honest. She took great care of them. I was over three hours away and was so glad that she was able to come up with plan B and execute it. She was so flexible, accommodating and friendly. She made me feel at ease. We would definitely book her again.”

“Sarah was so awesome. Treated my dog like family. Kept me updated. Sent me fun awesome pictures of my pooch while I was away. Accommodated anything I needed. So grateful. If you need a place to keep your pet Sarah can't be beat. Thanks!”

HANNILIE showed great compassion for our dog. It was comforting that she took videos of Finnegan playing in the yard with the other dog. It brought comfort and reassurance to us as this was Finnegan's first stay away from home. We would highly recommend Hannilie to anyone seeking a competent and caring boarding for their dog.

Hannelie took such wonderful care of Pesto—he felt right at home! Communication was excellent both before and during his stay, which gave us great peace of mind. They even spoiled him by letting him sleep on their bed, just like he does at home. It was clear he was loved and well cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Hannelie again. 🐾

This was my first time using Rover and I was extremely happy with Kathryn! She took pictures and gave me daily updates on how my Westie, Tess, was doing. Tess can be a lot at times, as some terriers can be, but she did very well with Kathryn and her family. We will definitely be back!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Frankford home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Frankford.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Frankford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
