I am running my own farm business and is at home almost all the time, taking care of animals is my day-to-day activity. I only take in 1 or 2 animals at a time and already spend a lot of time walking and playing with my own dogs, adding 1-2 additional is part of the daily activities.

Safety, trust & environment
I have 2 dogs already, they are never crated (since initial house training). I would not expect to crate any visiting dog either, unless there are specific circumstances raised by owner or if dog is destructive in the house when running free. I am the only carer for visiting dogs. While there are other people in household, I will be the sole carer and only person signing up with Rover.

Information Hannelie R. would like to know about your pet
I need to know about any special needs related to visiting dogs, ahead of time, including an understanding of the dogs nature, how active they are, friendliness and medication needs etc. It is important for me to bring in only dogs that will fit in with rest of pack and family, to ensure happy experience for visiting dog as well as household.
A typical day
Start the day with dogs jumping on bed to say hello. Put on their collars and let out for morning pee/poop. (for visiting dogs, take them out on leash as alternative, depending on the dog). After, come inside, dogs gets morning feeding. Periodically during day, several times, take dogs out to play catch or go for a walk. early evening, play catch then dogs gets evening food at same time humans eat. Go out for last time just before bed time.

Your dog's home away from home
Pet care experience
Your dog becomes part of my household, which already includes a Border Collie and Jack Russel. I would not crate any dog unless absolutely required for short periods. Therefore I need to meet the dogs before commitment to ensure they are friendly and fit in for a visit.
Reviews

Hannelie took excellent care of jax and took him for walks everyday and sent updates of how he was doing. Would definitely recommend as a matter of fact she is taking care of jax again.

Hanelle has to be the nicest person but on top of that the best person to trust your pet with. She went above and beyond special care for our little Ginger and spoiled her with homemade biscuits on top of all the love she gave her. She exercised her regularly and listened to any additional information we gave her! Certainly recommend her and will be using her again

nice family, jasper was very happy to make new friends

Truly everything you could want in a pet sitter! She is an experienced dog lover who will take care of your pup with the same care as her own. The perfect place for any active dog! Proactive with updates (and great photos and videos from their adventures) and very responsive. Could not recommend more!
