“Emily is the best. From the meet & greet prior to booking she seemed trustworthy to care for our Lana girl in our home. She was kind and personable. She was communicative and provided appropriate and meaningful updates on our girl while we were away. I would absolutely request her again to pet sit. I’m so grateful for animal loving people like her.”

About: Hello! My name is Shay and i’m a 20 year old dog sitter with many years of experience! I’m a third year college student at UCF and trying to make some money while also gaining experience and connections. I’m a reliable and caring animal lover with a lifetime of experience around pets. I’ve been taking care of animals since I got my dog in middle school and have been taking care of other people’s dogs ever since I could start driving! Also, for the past year I’ve regularly dog sat for a police officer and her retired senior K-9, building trust and consistency with both owner and pup. I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable, whether it’s during a walk or while you’re away. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I structure my days around pet care, so I have plenty of availability for visits and check-ins. Along with my experience as a full-time caregiver, I bring patience, reliability, and a strong focus on each pet’s needs. Safety and trust are my top priorities. For drop-ins, I carefully follow your pet’s routine, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime, while making sure your home is secure. For house sitting, I maintain your pet’s normal schedule to keep them comfortable and stress-free, and I treat your home with the same respect and care as my own.
“Christine was just wonderful with my Yorkie. Even though he’s stubborn and old, she gave him love and took such good care of him. She’s a wonderful woman I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Kelly is amazing! We were out of town for such a short time but she took such great care of the dogs and kept us updated with texts and photos the entire time! Highly recommend and will definitely have over again in the future!”

About: I've taken care of cats, dogs, and exotics for many years. Well versed in pet care for any breed and kind of animal. Big fan and friend of all pets alike. I am currently an online college student, so I have plenty of time to play and care for your furry family members, with extra love! I have a very friendly but shy chihuahua who would be separated from your furry friend in my home. I can uphold any rules you may follow in your own home for your pets as need be.

About: I’ve taken care of my dog of 6 years since we got him as a puppy. I trained him to potty, do tricks, and play. I walk him 2-3 times a day and take him to the dog park, dog beach, and other dog social settings. I’ve also taken care of other dogs for multiple days. I work part-time during the weekends so my availability is during the weekdays! I am also a full time college student studying Biomedical Sciences but I’m fully online during the summer. I’m very playful with pets but I always make sure to put their safety first. I also always follow special instructions for each unique pet!

About: Experienced 3-dog owner Scott Shanfeld provides reliable, loving pet care. Skilled in handling all personalities and safety-focused, I’ll treat your pup like family! Pet care fits seamlessly by structuring your mornings and evenings around routine walks and feedings, while midday check-ins or longer weekend blocks handle extended service bookings and administrative tasks. Providing in-home pet care—whether it's overnight house sitting or dropping in for visits—is all about maintaining the pet's regular routine to keep them stress-free while their owner is away. Because pets are usually most comfortable in their own environment, keeping things consistent is key. Here is exactly how a professional in-home pet care setup typically works: 1. The Pre-Service Meet and Greet Before any care begins, a crucial first step is meeting the client and their pets at their home. This serves a few vital purposes: Introductions: Letting the pets get used to a new face while their owner is there to reassure them. Routine Walkthrough: Learning exactly where food, bowls, leashes, toys, and cleaning supplies are kept. Logistics: Securing home access (keys, lockbox codes, or alarm instructions) and collecting emergency contact info for the vet. 2. Maintaining the Routine The goal is to replicate the owner's exact schedule as closely as possible. Feeding & Medication: Serving precise portions at the exact times the pet expects them. If a pet requires medication (pills, ointments, or injections), getting clear instructions and tracking doses is a top priority. Exercise & Play: Going for walks, playing fetch, or engaging in interactive play to burn off energy and keep anxiety at bay. Bathroom Breaks: Ensuring dogs get out at regular intervals or keeping the litter box meticulously clean for cats. 3. House Manners & Security Caring for a pet in a client's home means treating the space with total respect. Home Care Basics: Bringing in the mail, watering plants, taking out the trash on pickup days, and alternating lights so the house looks occupied. Cleanliness: Promptly cleaning up any pet messes, wiping muddy paws at the door, and leaving the home exactly as it was found. 4. Communication & Updates Sending regular updates to the owner is one of the most important parts of the job. A quick text with a photo or two during a visit or at the end of the day goes a long way in giving them peace of mind while they are away.
“I highly recommend Lily!! She was a sweet kind wonderful sitter for our three very different needs dogs- a dog lover!!! We had a Puppy , 14 yr old sick dog and middle of the road 3 yr old with anxiety - she handled them all beautifully !! With love and compassion! I loved the updates , videos, pictures etc you never have to wonder what’s going on. She keeps you updated. Never had a worry ! if I could give more than five stars, I would!! Couldn’t have a better sitter! I will be using her again if possible I’m sure she’s in demand”

“McKayla was absolutely amazing while house-sitting and caring for my dog, Mable, and my cat, Kaiah. Mable is still a puppy with a ton of energy, so she can definitely be a handful, but McKayla was incredibly patient, attentive, and wonderful with her. She also took great care of Kaiah and made sure both pets were happy, comfortable, and well cared for while I was away. What really stood out was her communication. She sent so many photos and updates throughout my trip, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing my pets were in great hands. She was always easy to reach, quick to respond, and kept me informed the entire time. Since she stayed in my home, I also appreciated how respectful and responsible she was. Everything was clean, tidy, and exactly as I left it when I returned. Coming home to happy pets and a well-cared-for house made all the difference. I would absolutely book McKayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative, and caring pet sitter. She went above and beyond, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

“Jeremy stayed at our home for a week with our fur babies. He took great care of them, sent pics and videos, and kept us updated all week. We were lucky to have him! He not only watched our babies, but grabbed the mail, watered the plants, and even washed the sheets after staying at our home. Above and beyond and greatly appreciated! Hire them if you need a great sitter for your fur babies”

About: I grew up with a variety of pets. As a kid we had cows, horses, ducks, chickens, cats and dogs, as well as many more. I am in school working on my prerequisites for a Veterinary Sciences degree, so you can be sure that your best friend will be in the best care available!😁 I work full time from around 9am-5pm and can work outside of those hours, I wake up around 5am every day so I can be with your pet early and late. I am available for overnight appointments as well. Generally for pet sitting, before I go to work I’ll feed your animals, take them on a walk and prepare for when I’m gone, when I get off work around 2-3pm, I’ll come back and take them out for a run or play with them, and stay with them for a while for some cuddles or just for company. For drop ins I can do 3 per day, one at around 5am, one at 3pm, and one at 9pm. For walks my schedules the same. I have a blue Doberman and Shepard/Cane Corso mix so I can be comfortable around every breed no problem. I love hanging out with animals and having some playtime or going on runs with them. If they aren’t that social I can still let them outside and just be there as company for them while I do my schoolwork.
“Kara is amazing! My first time using Rover and couldn’t be happier. Duke loved her and she treats him like her own. I felt so at ease knowing he was with her and loved getting all the updates and pictures.”

I will possibly be getting a part time job in addition to dog sitting, but my schedule is super open and flexible! I treat your dogs just like mine - with lots of love and respect! About: I have been a pet owner for about 15 years. I love walking dogs and caring for cats and fish. I am passionate about ensuring that pets are well cared for and just as happy when their owners return home as when they left. I am a second year dental student and have a fairly open schedule. I only have class for a few hours in the morning and some afternoons during the week days. I am available for dog walking and for general pet sitting responsibilities If I am caring for a dog then I make sure that they get plenty of exercise with a walk and being let outside. I also follow the directions of the client if they need to be crated or if a portion of the house is off limits to the pet. For cats I will make sure that they are fed and that the litter box is clean and anything additional the client is looking for.

As a proud pet parent to two cats, I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family. With years of hands on experience and a true love for animals, I make sure every visit or walk is safe, engaging, and stress free for your pet (and for you!). “Caden did an excellent job with dog and house sitting from 05/22/2026 - 05/25/2026. He was reliable, responsible, and took great care of both our dog and home while we were away. Everything was well looked after, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing things were in good hands. We came back to a happy dog and a house that was just as we left it. I would gladly recommend Caden and would be happy to work with him again.”

Fort Hamer pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jeremy & Kathy provided outstanding care for our two dogs; a cocker spaniel & chocolate lab (age 7 & 13). The process was so easy & they were very accommodating. We had a meet & greet and it was obvious they were lovers of pets. Our dogs loved them immediately. They provided overnight stay for 14 nights while we were out of the country. We received pictures and updates of the dogs each day. I thought it was nice that they said “you don’t have to respond to each one, we just want you to know the pups are doing great”. Upon return our home was spotless and the dogs were happy. Our dogs need medication and a little extra care and they did it all beautifully!! I highly recommend them to care for your special pets. Thank you Jeremy & Kathy!! The boys look forward to seeing you again.

Angelica provided incredible care for my puppy Beanz. She was attentive, dependable, and kept me informed with regular updates. Beanz was happy and comfortable, and I could tell she genuinely loves animals. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants trustworthy and loving pet care
