Jessica & Matthew were warm and friendly, kept to the schedule I suggested faithfully, and even did a couple non-pet related tasks that I forgot before I left town (so grateful for that). Not to mention, my dogs were in LOVE! I will absolutely be reaching out again for future pet sitting needs.

Raina was amazing. She took great care of both of my cats. She sent updates every day, and sent pictures. Raina even settled my anxiety by doing a house tour with me before I even left for my trip.

About: I've house sat and pet sat for family and friends since my youth as favors. Most pets tend to warm to me fairly quickly and let me carry them or pet them on the first meeting. My professional career is focused in child care and development. I've worked with 5-18 years old in various positions. My last position was teaching and caring for teenage youth, who were transitioning from incarceration to their parent's home, at a group home. I am used to dealing with crisis under pressure with a calm demeanor and resolving it to the best of my ability. I am CPR and First Aid trained and certified in non-violent crisis management. I am currently available for all the services I specified in my profile Monday through Friday from as early as 10 am - 7 pm. I am also available for overnight house sitting jobs. While house sitting, I take safety/health of the pets and security of the surrounding area as the #1 priority. When I took care of my pets and others i. My own space, I'd block off any areas in the home that could be damaged or cause injury, if a pet got into it. I always made sure to engage with the pets I cared for, whether, playing fetch or running around with them. I made sure they expended that seemingly bottomless tank of energy.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses through both personal ownership and my work in veterinary medicine. I am a veterinary assistant and am enrolled in a veterinary technician program, giving me experience with animal behavior, health monitoring, medication administration, and handling pets of all ages and temperaments. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and dependable to care for your pets. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or providing extra attention and comfort while you’re away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My veterinary background allows me to recognize signs of illness or discomfort and provide an extra level of care and peace of mind for pet owners. I currently have a flexible availability and can dedicate my time to providing reliable, attentive care for your pets. This allows me to accommodate a variety of schedules, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and last-minute requests when possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I provide fresh food and water, administer medications if needed, clean litter boxes or pick up waste, and ensure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention.

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have experience helping friends and family care for their animals, including dogs and other small pets. I’m comfortable with basic pet care like feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m responsible, patient, and willing to learn each pet’s routine and needs so they get the best care possible. I balance online classes, workouts, and a summer job throughout the week, so I’m used to staying organized and managing my time responsibly. I make time for walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention and care they need. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any instructions provided by the owner. About: I have owned and trained my own stranger and dog reactive rescue for the past 2 years. I know how hard it can be to go on vacation because finding a babysitter with experience is hard. Working slowly and gaining trust is key and knowing triggers is essential in being sure that the dog can be managed properly while the owner is away. I've worked with trainers and read extensively on reactive dogs, so I understand how important it is to manage your dog's stress and be consistent with training. Therefore, any training regimens would be kept. I've worked with puppies, helping train friend's puppies so that their new furry friends can experience the world through a positive lens. I've done nail trims as long as the dog is willing, ear cleanings, and given pills or vitamins. I find it essential for owners to be able to go on vacation or out of town and not have to worry about their dogs. Therefore, any updates, pictures, etc will be given freely. I currently work full-time but have full availability Sunday and Mondays and can always do drop ins before and after work. I will be sure to not sure drop in for a few minutes to feed but to play and interact with your animals to ensure their needs are met and they can nap. I understand safety and management for animals inside and outside the home. Ensuring no food eaten is left out or other endangerments are all securing put away. Enrichment and mental stimulation help keep animals calm while their owners are away and keeps them feel tired so they get the sleep that they need! Therefore, play time, mentally stimulating games, and walks would be a main focus to keep your pet feeling fulfilled till your happy return!

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter/house sitter (3+ yrs) who is passionate about making pets feel safe and comfortable when I’m watching them! 🤗🐶 I am also an active person, so long walks (5+ miles), farm animal needs, or pet medical needs are totally okay with me. I am also a neat person who is up for completing any household tasks/chores while I’m watching your space. I have a flexible schedule which would allow me to come home for a quick potty break in the middle of the day if absolutely necessary! I am a very responsible, clean, and honest person who prioritizes communication and safety when I am watching your fur babies or your home. I understand the trust that my clients give me to watch over their homes and pets is very very sacred, and I am honored to give my clients the best possible experience. I frequently send updates (i.e. pictures/videos of my activities with the pets, weather reports if there are storms, etc.). I am also available by phone 24/7 for clients to reach out. I am flexible and open to completing household tasks (i.e. watering plants, cleaning, etc.) if need be.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Fort Calhoun

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 471 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Fort Calhoun. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Calhoun. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
