About: My experience with animals goes beyond just having pets of my own! I’ve raised my cat, Khloe, since she was a newborn, cared for my boyfriend’s senior dog Gizmo (RIP), and even helped care for a family member’s puppy (Romeo) who was sick with a UTI. That meant keeping up with more frequent walks and giving the puppy extra attention throughout the week. I’ve also managed to keep three carnival goldfish (Darwin, Sayuri, and Mohawk) happy and healthy for over two years! From young pets who need supervision to senior pets who may need a gentler hand, I’ve learned every animal has different needs, but deserve the same patience consistency and love. I’m also a photographer and artist, so I LOVE catching those goofy moments that fill every pet owners phone gallery. If your pet becomes my buddy, don’t be surprised if you get an entire complimentary photo shoot! I will also be happy to clean your fur baby afterwards (yuck nyc floors) and provide poop bags, toys, treats, etc if needed! I’m currently in college full time, with Mondays and Wednesday’s being my most unavailable days. Tuesday,Thursday,Friday, and weekends are my best days. I have classes Tues-Thurs from 10:45-12pm, and periodically have classes on Thursday from 3:05 to 5:45. This is my last semester, so I will be graduating soon. We can work together to find the best schedule 🐾 Whether it is in my home or yours, my priority is making sure the fur baby is safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the usual feeding, walking, playtime, and rest routines as closely as possible. In your home, I’ll respect your space, keep your pet areas cleaner than you left them, and make sure they have fresh food and water.

About: My first ever working experience was walking a friend of my family’s dog when I was 13. I also have a pitbull named Brandy who is not the best behaved, so I feel like I can handle walking most dogs. I also grew up with a cat so I have experience with cats too. I am currently enrolled in university, so during weekdays I can only do pet care after my classes which is usually in the afternoon. On weekends however I am pretty available and open to overnight sitting. I will walk, feed, and play with pets based on owner’s instructions and make sure they’re okay throughout my time with them. If no instructions are given I’ll use my best judgement to make sure the pet is okay.

“We have been working with Emmanuel for almost 2 years on both regular walks Monday through Friday, emergency walks, and drop-in walks (3xs/day) when out of town. We have a 12-year old Pittie who absolutely adores him, and we trust him with her care. She is dog-reactive, has a heart condition (and now lymphoma), and required meds when we’re away. Emmanuel treated her with so much care and love and almost daily walked her MUCH longer than the 30 minutes we requested. He’s professional and friendly and is just an all around good person. If it weren’t for her costs of her cancer treatment, we’d still be using him. Highly recommend Emmanuel!”

I have a graveyard shift, which gives me the ability to be free in the afternoon and evenings. I don’t have a Monday through Friday Job, which gives me the availability to fit them perfectly in my weekly routine. I first get to know your fur baby on what they like and dislike. I try to make them feel comfortable by giving them attention, taking them out for walks and most of all play with them so they do not get bored.

I’ve picked up basic pet responsibilities like cleaning up after one, feeding them on schedule, and taking them out for walks. Besides having four cats and two large dogs growing up, and being the primary pet sitter for several friends and colleagues over the past ten years, I have been the primary caregiver/parent to two dogs. One, Greta, I raised from puppyhood; the other, Honey, I adopted at 12 and cared for in the final years of her life. Both of these dogs experienced medical complications: Greta was adopted with heartworm, which was cured after a strict regimen, and Honey experienced kidney failure in her old age, for which I gave her daily IVs for nearly a year. Both dogs came to me with behavioral problems, including dog aggression and separation anxiety. I was able to care for both dogs and keep them safe, and am experienced with pets with medical needs. I am experienced as a pet owner and caregiver, and will follow your instructions carefully and check in often. I work from home and would love to do so with your beloved pet by my side, where I can give them lots of pets, walks, and cuddles. I hope I get to meet your pet soon! I work from home 4/5 days a week, though I can usually work from home an entire week if needed. I will check in with your pet’s schedule, and let you know if I am able to meet their needs. As a general rule, I never leave a pet alone for more than 6 hours, but I am flexible according to your pet’s specific needs. I always leave a home I am visiting clean, and am happy to do what I can to make sure you are comfortable with me in your home. I am a lifelong New Yorker and can navigate trains and buses to your home easily. I may have access to a car shortly, if you live somewhere inaccessible by train. In my home, I keep food unreachable to pets wherever possible and have pet beds available for their use. I do not have any pets in my home at the moment. I live right next to one of the largest parks in New York City, and am happy to take your pet for walks, or even to the dog park nearby if they are comfortable with other dogs.
