I have over 20 years of experience raising dogs and caring for my neighbors' cats.I also volunteered at the Humane League of Lancaster County. That experience taught me how to handle all types of dog breeds, sizes, and behaviors safely.Since I do not host dogs at my house, my full focus is on visiting your pets. About: Hello! My name is Rachel, I am a graduate student living in Lancaster and love to take care of your pets in my free time! I grew up with a big family and many animals including goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and a few dogs running around. I have always loved animals, especially horses and dogs. I also worked at Karen’s K9 Kare in Malvern for around a year. During my time there I gained experience dealing with large groups of dogs as well as bathing, training, and getting picky dogs to eat. The most essential skill I gained at this position is really how to manage stressed out animals, dealing with strangers can be difficult for many pets but I pride myself in being able to recognize what they need from me to make them as comfortable as possible.
