About: I have hands-on experience working in a kennel, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In addition, I’ve dog sat for neighbors and friends, so I’m comfortable stepping into a pet’s routine and making them feel at home. What sets me apart is my experience with special care needs. My own dog has epilepsy, so I’m confident giving oral medications and staying attentive to a pet’s health, behavior, and any changes that might need attention. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet’s wellbeing, and I take that responsibility seriously. I aim to provide calm, reliable, and compassionate care so both you and your pet feel comfortable and stress-free. “Kevin was prompt to responding to my request for a dog walker. On the same day we set up a date for meet and greet. I received a text message from Kevin that he was on his way. My dog Rory is a 100 pound English Labrador and met Kevin at the door. Right away they both clicked. Kevin told me he had 2 dogs and he was very attentive to my boy. We agreed on the dates and time and I completed the process online. On the first day Kevin texted he was on his way. Rory was excited to go for his walk and was happy as evidence by running to me and wagging his tail when he came back. Every morning Kevin came, Rory met him at the door. About: I have been a pet appreciation magnet as long as I can remember. Even when I am not aiming for the attention, the pets gravitate my way, and i have scritches and belly rubs for them all. I have a rescue of my own for 6+ years now, bichon/poodle mix. Though he had a traumatic start before me, he has adjusted well and is a cuddle bug, and getting better with his socialization with new doggos. I have been a dog sitter for friends over the last 8+ years, when they go on trips. I have experience in minor training, like sit/stay/leash leading, for a few breeds up to 50-70 lbs (no certificates, just repitition and patience). Positive recognition of good behavior and moderate activity (to remedy the bad behavior) when you need me are what I hope to share with your furry family members. I am currently working part-time, so i can set up a schedule of regular pet attention care during part day time hours. Currently I have weekends free if weekend care is requested, though this may change if requests are light. I am working on my house to be able to provide overnight care in the future, making it care friendly for additional furry friends. I have a fenced in, good size yard, and a medium size fur baby of my own to greet stay over friends, though my house needs a little more time for prep before we are ready. I am happy to do drop-ins and day or eve walks at your home, and follow any/all your rules. I respect your needs and want to make sure your fur baby is safe and happy in my care. I keep trainer treats in my car, if we need to practice a few basic commands, as well as water and other care essentials. I have a back seat hammock/cover for the pet's safety when traveling (as needed). I also have a med to large dog kennel I can put in the way back of my SUV if that is preferred for safety and security.

I play with my 4 cats every night with a laser toy and I also have a rod with a toy on the end of it that they love to play with. They all like to sit on my bed and watch TV with me. About: I adore and cherish dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes. I am a HUGE animal lover and love all aspects of caring for animals. I am the type of person that if I see someone walking their dog across the street, I will go over to pet the dog. I've grew up caring for and loving at least one dog at a time since I was a teenager. My yard is fenced in. I don't mind walking dogs around my neighborhood either. Client's always feel at ease when they see my house and the dogs always love their stay!

Having such a vast array of dogs means I’ve handled all kinds of personalities and lifestyles, such as: the various walkers - off leash dogs to 120 lb dog that pulls, various energy levels, even various health issues - kidney disease, thyroid issues, hip dysplasia, bladder stones, eye issues. We have always had cats, as well, so I completely understand the importance of cleaning out the litter box, providing fresh water, and even just being there for your cat whether they want some scratches or to play. With cats, I also have plenty of experience administering medicine orally, SQ & transdermal. In May 2020, I graduated with my degree in Chemistry-Biology from West Chester University that I hope to use working with animals. During my college career, I shadowed at a veterinary office for two months. During that time, I got to oversee surgeries, injections, and daily routines. For a year after college, I had been working in a veterinary office - assisting in appointments, administering medication, becoming familiar with various medications and dosaging, & even just noticing the small details. Dogs, cats, & all pets are family, they deserve the best kind of treatment and love! I promise I can be the one to give your pets nothing less than the best! I work Sun-Thurs, typically 9-4. Outside of those hours, your pet is my main priority! I can head right to your pet(s) after work. As long as their medication or potty breaks work with my schedule, which I will always be 100% transparent and honest if they do not. Your pet deserves the best! Inside the home, pets are welcome on the couch, the bed, the various dog beds, blankets - truly whatever they please. Any special requirements you have for your dog, I will work into my routine so your dog has that same consistency as they do in their own home - that could be: a special diet, a stricter diet, getting treats at certain times, getting their teeth brushed, etc. If it’s something that will make you more comfortable, let me know and I’ll be happy to try and provide that! In a client’s home, I try and care for the pet as close to what the owner provides for their own pet (& better if possible, but it’s hard to outlove a pet parent’s love for their own). Consistency is key on allowing that pet to feel comfortable with me in such a short time span, as they would their family.
