About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with dogs and cats (and birds and turtles and fish) as a child, and as an adult I have raised my own from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. I am comfortable with puppy potty training, litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten/puppy energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. (I can even do baths with the right set-up, and advanced notice.) I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. In general I love all animals; when asked if I am “a dog person or a cat person,” I say, “yes.” I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family (including fostering for a year, to help a friend of a friend while she finished school) and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. I am finally joining Rover at the recommendation of many friends and family members who think caring for people’s pets is an excellent job for me. I’m new to Rover, but not new to pet care, and if you trust me with your pets’ care you will find they are in very good hands! I am happy to care for your pets in the way that works best for them: coming regularly to take them for walks, scoop litter boxes, and pick up puppy pads, etc., or staying with them in the comfort of their own home if they need more than drop-in attention. If in-home sitting is needed for extended periods, I may need to leave for a few hours at a time, but I can work around your pet’s needs for specific mealtimes, walk/potty times, etc. I love all pets as the individuals they are, and care for them as if they were my own. You can rely on me to follow detailed instructions, keep you updated, and make sure they are as happy and well-cared-for as can be while you are away.

About: I've worked with dogs, cats, chickens, horses, ducks, quail, ect. In the past and genuinely enjoying spending time with animals. I can provide safe, comfortable, and reliable pet care for you while you are away. I've done in home pet sitting, drop in care, and dog walking for family, friends, neighbors, and others in the community. I have experience with puppies, senior animals, dogs with behavioral issues, and intact animals. I currently work part time as a babysitter so my schedule is pretty open. About: I love pets more than most people but no time for one full-time myself. I love to love and give all the time and attention to the pets of others. It's one of the greatest joys in life. I currently only work part-time because I have my kiddo every other week and love to make sure I don't miss out on the younger years. I want a pet so bad, but just don't have time to have one full time myself. I would take my neighbors dog most weeks when he'd go out of town to care for him, and sadly moved away and would love to spend my free time loving on the pets of others. If a pet is child friendly, then yes to taking them when I have my kiddo. If not, I am child free every other week. I live in a safe and clean home and treat them as my own. About: I’ve started walking dogs since I was walking in diapers. Throughout the years I’ve taken care of different sizes of dogs~ puppies to seniors. I’ve taken care of dogs that needed medical care and trained my dog and my grandma’s pup. I can say I know a bit of things when it comes dogs. I’m currently going to school in the afternoon and working at a part time, my mornings are almost always open and some of my nights. I’ll Still be willingly to work something out between those times. He may look scary at first but grows on you quick, once you learn he won't hurt you. He has helped me teach other dogs who don't like new dogs how to befriend a stranger. (Update: Over 100 Walks and 3 Sittings as of 12/28/24) From Camas to Lake Oswego and Aurora, I have been in some wealthy homes all alone, so I can assure you I'm as Trustworthy as they come :-) Google says Wag is more for Walking and Rover is more for Sitting, so that's why I'm here too now. I'm looking to add Sitting to my Schedule so I can afford to upgrade to a House and start Boarding. (Update: I just got a room in a house in West Linn, I may be able to Board in the near future). P.S. I wear a Body Cam at all times for everyone's safety. I'm a Full-Time Walker/Trainer already, I'm looking to add Sitting to my Schedule so I can afford to upgrade to a house and start Boarding as well :-) Fur Babies won't be left alone longer than 4 hours, 2 hours if requested. About: I have compassion and am understanding for animals that is hard to put in to words. I carry empathy towards all living things. I have had several dogs of my own and know how much it means to have someone you can rely on to care for them when you’re away. I am currently at home full time and don’t have plans on that changing anytime soon. I am able to work around your schedule and as needed. I have a few appointments a week but they are only one hour at a time. The rest of my time is free. I tend to take my two dogs to the park every day to play ball or run around (depending on weather sometimes). I would love to bring yours along as well. My dogs are very friendly and know how to give your pets their own space when needed. Please keep in mind that if you need a house/pet sitter, my two dogs would have to come with me as I am single and don’t have anyone to care for them. They are great with other dogs and cats.
