“Janelle took amazing care of my cat! Lots of picture and video updates and went above and beyond with taking care of her and my place where she stayed. She’s very attentive and her love for animals is very apparent. Will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

About: I previously worked at a vet clinic in Estacada and a dog boarding facility for a couple years in Damascus. I have worked with many different types of dogs and cats. Animals truly have my ❤️ I do work a full time job. I have open availability after work Monday-Thursday, and later in the day on some Sundays! Willing to work around things 😊 I have my own pet. Her name is Reese. She will be 2 in August. Reese would love some friends to go on walks with. But I am more than okay leaving her at home if needed! My last was at a boarding facility for dogs. My boss would go out of town so I would house sit for her pets and the boarding animals. So I have passed experience with pets and house sitting!
“Frank stayed in our home and took care of our cat for a 9 night stay. They followed our directions for the house and cat care and kept us updated on our trip so we could fully enjoy our time away. Our kitty was happy and healthy when we got home. Highly recommend and will hire again!”

“Merry was absolutely phenomenal! ❤️ She loved our cats, gave them all the attention and care I had asked for, treated them like her own, and sent us pictures every day. Knowing our girls were in such loving and caring hands gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Merry kept in constant communication, which made us feel even more comfortable and reassured. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our fur babies! I will definitely be booking with Merry again for any future pet-sitting needs. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who truly cares! 🐾💕”

About: Very similarly to my history with cats, I've never known a life without at least one pup in my life! Although I don't have my own dog at the moment because I have no space for pups to play, and I know they need to be able to get energy out, and an apartment isn't the best place for that, my Mom still has two dogs that I care for often. As she did with cats, my Mom bred Lhasa Apsos on several occasions, and of course, those doggies were nothing less than completely pampered(as they should be)! I've helped with everything from bathing dogs of all sizes, to walking dogs, to actually helping with delivering puppies! I've had so many breeds of dogs, each with their own personality! I've had Lhasa Apsos, Australian Shepards, Mastiffs, a Saint Bernard, Golden Retrievers, Labradoodles, Greyhounds, and more! My Mom currently has 2 Labradoodles, and I've watched/dog sat them on several occasions. I'd love to have the opportunity to get to know you and your pup(s), and help you in any way I can! If you're in need of a dogsitter, please feel free to reach out! Have a fabulous day! I don't have many times during the week where I'm not available! I will be busy on Thursday mornings until 11:30 for the next several weeks, but aside from that, I'm very flexible and can work with what you need for your schedule. I will be able to care for dogs in your home as you need me to. I can care for cats in my apartment if needed, and if you're comfortable with your cat(s) being around my kitties. No matter what, I will be able to come to you and your cat(s)/dogs(s) and help out!

About: I’ve taken care of cats my whole life. From feeding, grooming, play, and more, I’ve taken time to figure out the best approaches to ensure our little living room tigers are cared for. Im currently a graduate student so my schedule is pretty flexible for play dates, feedings, medication delivery or grooming. Mornings and evenings are the best times for me to visit your furry friends. I have a catio on my terrace for outside enrichment, plenty of toys and a mini garden full of lavender and catnip. I also have two well-behaved cats of my own.

About: I was a veterinary technician (2 years) with experience caring for both small and large animals, and I spent four years rescuing and fostering animals. I’ve worked in a veterinary clinic with a strong focus on emergency medicine, so I’ve seen firsthand how quickly things can go wrong and know what to watch for when it comes to your pet’s health and safety. I was a hospital technician for one year, meaning my job was to monitor patients, give medication, and notify the vet to any health changes. I plan to attend veterinary school in the near future, and in my free time I do TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for feral cats and volunteer walking dogs at local shelters. I also minored in Human-Animal Relations, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior and how they think. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, personalities, and medical needs, and safety is always my number-one priority. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and overall health, and I will never put your pet in an unsafe situation. Mostly, though, I’m just a HUGE animal lover. Getting to spend time caring for your pet genuinely feels like a treat to me. My favorite dog breeds are probably pit bulls and corgis, but my favorite animal will always be a cat. :) Boarding & Day Care I also have the perfect property for boarding, overnight stays, or day care! I live on a beautiful 5 acre property with 3 acres being a large fenced pasture where dogs can safely stretch their legs and explore. I’m a horse trainer, so I’m on the property every day and your dog will have plenty of supervision and attention. I’m also very careful about keeping dogs separated when appropriate. I do have a very friendly Lab who loves having dog friends, but they only interact if you’re comfortable with it and give me permission. The property has everything a dog could want for a little vacation- large grassy pastures, a creek, and wooded areas to explore. I make sure every dog gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, attention, and downtime. Most dogs leave happy, tired, and ready for a good nap! :) I’m also located less than 2 minutes from Silver Creek Animal Clinic, which provides emergency animal care. I pray nothing ever happens but it is conveniently close. Currently all proceeds are going towards childhood horse’s cancer treatment 😔 she took care of me as a youth so now it’s my turn to take care of her. I recently started my own horse training business, so I work primarily from my property and have an extremely flexible schedule. This makes pet care a really natural fit into my day! I feed and care for my horses around 8 AM and 5 PM, and I spend the middle of the day working and training them. I work with my Mom so she can care for the horses when I need to take care of your pets. During breaks between rides and training sessions, I’m able to spend time with the dogs, whether that means letting them run and play in the pasture, going for a walk, giving them some one-on-one attention, or just hanging out together. Working a horse takes about 45 minutes, where your dog will be left in a covered run where they can potty if needed. Because I’m on the property throughout the day, I can also accommodate early-morning or late-night drop-offs, bathroom breaks, walks, and other schedules that might be difficult for someone with a traditional 9–5 job. Your pet gets to be part of my everyday routine rather than being left alone for long stretches of time. I have plenty of space for dogs to exercise and explore, and I’m able to give them frequent attention throughout the day while still maintaining a consistent routine for my horses. I do not mix dogs and horses! I keep them very separate. Your dog’s stay will feel more like a little vacation than a traditional boarding facility! I have a 3-acre fenced pasture where dogs can safely run, explore, and get plenty of exercise and enrichment. I’m here throughout the day to supervise and spend time with the dogs. I keep all boarders separated from one another, unless you are dropping off more than one dog :) I also have a very friendly Lab who absolutely loves having dog friends, and I’m happy to let her play with your dog if allowed. You can see her in my photos. Otherwise, your dog gets their own space and one-on-one attention. I can get away with the your dog never knowing there is other dogs on property. There are several comfortable options for your pet depending on their needs and your preferences. Dogs have access to comfortable dog mats and fresh water, as well as a covered run where they can go outside and potty even when the weather isn’t cooperating. I also have large, heated horse stalls that can be used as comfortable private spaces. For dogs who are potty trained and comfortable in a home environment, they can also spend time inside my house or have their own room. I’m happy to tailor their routine to what they’re most comfortable with. Oregon winters can be rainy, but your dog won’t be stuck inside all day. When the weather is wet, they can run and play in my indoor arena or barn, which are both warm and provide plenty of room to move around. Most importantly, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and supervision. I’m on the property every day, keep boarders separated, and make sure every dog has fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and attention. Whether they’re running through the pasture, exploring the property, relaxing in the house, or curling up for a nap, I want every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re here.
About: Animal lover, adventure buddy, and professional cuddle giver! I treat your pets like my own, with plenty of love, attention, and a few extra belly rubs along the way. I am working as a massage therapist. The hours are shorter than a regular work day so there’s plenty of time for long walks and playtime. I follow their usual routines, give them plenty of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to feeding schedules, I treat every pet like my own!
About: Ive worked at a dog hotel for 8 plus years and have taken care of all different types of dogs. I get along with any dog I meet and I would love to help care for your baby regardless what stage in life they are at. I work at a dog hotel so I can make almost anything work. Just let me know the situation and we can work together :) I know how to do meds and have been doing them for years. I can handle elderly dogs/cats and younger. I can go on long walks or small walks depending on the dog.
About: Being raised on a small farm, there have always been cats & dogs around to share in the ups & downs of life. I love leaning into each individual's personality and working with positive reenforcement to catch the animals doing good behavior! I have experience training/working with dogs of all ages. Sometimes our furry friends need extra care. I am experienced in oral medicine administration, wound care, ear & eye treatments (if need be)! I am available for pet care on a daily basis. I care for my cats & dog daily. If ever I need backup support, I have a network of folks willing to lend a hand. When pet sitting, I follow the instructions given by the owner regarding when to feed, how much food, how often they need to go outside. Beyond that, I typically tidy up the space every evening, sweeping/vacuuming, refreshing waters, etc. I try to develop a routine so that the animals know what to expect and can relax into a sense of order. I generally find ways that each animal likes to play and find games that are fun and rewarding.

I have a huge yard and a crate if needed! I also have an 11 year old who loves dogs and would love to interact with some new, friendly puppers.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
