House Sitting In Father Blanchet Park

About: I have grown up around animals my whole life, from dogs, cats and turtles all the way to horses, goats and chickens! I have had quite a few dogs throughout my life of different breeds and sizes. I regularly watch my family and friend’s pets, from a young spaniel puppy to a big senior Labrador who thinks he’s a puppy. I treat my senior friends with care and affection, wanting them to know nothing but happiness! I have also had a few puppies and understand the patience and care they require, especially when it comes to teaching them manners. I am currently unemployed so pet care will be my full time job! I am completely available everyday at all times to take care of and spend time with your furballs! I have two cats who run my home, they are leash trained and I regularly take them out to explore the backyard and play outside! They are very spoiled and I shower them with treats and toys when I can. When I watch others pets I want to know exactly how they want me to care for their pet, not wanting the animal to have to stray too far off their regular routine, especially when it comes to puppies.

“Anthea communicates promptly and professionally. She was on time for our first meet-up prior to petsitting and arrived early for our sit so that our dog would have the smoothest transition possible. She took excellent care of our pup, exercising him multiple times a day and giving us regular updates on his mood and behavior. She provided us with lots of pictures and he was clearly having a great time. If he could talk, I'm sure he would have told us to stay a couple of extra days so he could have more fun with Anthea! She has a great understanding of dog body language and was easily able to help him feel comfortable quickly and know what situations were working for him and when he was feeling more hesitant. We couldn't be more pleased!”

About: I’ve been pet/housesitting for the majority of my life! Growing up I was relied on heavily by many. I was consistently approached by family, friends, and neighbors. There were quite a few people that had me as their go-to whenever they needed the help and I made a strong connection with. I always get excited when people ask me to petsit for them! On top of that, I’ve done a lot of volunteer work at animal shelters, including dog walking, cleaning, and playing. I’m currently a SPED Educational Assistant, 8am-3:30pm every weekday at a school in Portland. Anytime around that I am free and willing, but I understand if that is too large a gap in the days as far as house sitting goes. Otherwise, my weekends are entirely free, as well as my summer break! I will accommodate to whatever needs must be met for your pet! I want to make sure your fur baby is completely safe, comfortable and happy with me. Every animal is different and I love to make space for them and learn about what they like, dislike, need, as well as their quirks and personalities. Connection and trust is very important to me.
