“Dana is incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, and was a treat to meet. I can tell she cares deeply about animals of all kinds and followed my instructions perfectly. She's my hero and a great person all the way around would definitely use her again!”

“Jeanette was so great! She stayed in our home with our 2 dogs. She sent us tons of pictures while we were gone and we could tell the dogs had been spoiled when we got back. Our house was left neat and sheets were already washed for us. We already have her booked to use again!”
“I entrusted Ami with my fur babies while my husband and I went out of town for a few days and she was wonderful!! Ami took great care of my babies and sent me updates throughout her stay at our home with them. I would have her watch them again and again if the need arises she is absolutely fantastic and very sweet! She went above and beyond while she stayed and my house was exactly as we left it. Ami was even kind enough to bring in our trash bins once trash was picked up. Thank you again Ami I know I left them in good hands and it made my time away so much less stressful knowing they had you to keep them company 😊”

“LaDonna takes such good and sweet care of our dogs. We went on our honeymoon and had no worries while we were away!! LaDonna is so attentive and carrying. It was so nice to unplug knowing our babies were having a great time and were safe!! We got a bit stranded by the hurricane and LaDonna made sure our dogs were all set up and taken care of.”

“Hunter was absolutely amazing! He took great care of our two spoiled dogs and house while we were away. Our house was spotless and our pups were happy upon our return. He sent pictures and updates of our boys and was very respectful of our home. I would definitely recommend and use Huntter again in the future!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up, our home always seemed like a mini farm—we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and rabbits. I’ve had dogs in my life since I was about three years old and have always loved caring for and spending time with animals. My background in environmental science and conservation has also given me extensive experience working responsibly around animals and spending time outdoors. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, a potty break, playtime, or simply some company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved! My schedule is currently flexible, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care throughout the week. I’m especially available for daytime dog walks and drop-in visits and love having an excuse to get outside and spend time with animals! I’m also available for occasional overnight stays when my schedule allows. I’m happy to work with each pet’s individual routine and will communicate clearly with owners to make sure their pets receive the care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Having grown up around many different kinds of animals, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions and take time to make sure pets feel comfortable and secure. During walks, I stay attentive to my surroundings and keep pets safely leashed. In your home, I treat your space with respect and care. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Loved getting the pictures and updates. Courtney was great with Hailey and even was able to get her eye drops in (my girl can be a bit feisty lol). Looking forward to having her stay again!”

“First time using Rover, but this was a wonderful experience for our senior girls. Kaitlynn helped us to have a stress free weekend by giving our girls lots of love and attention. She sent pictures too. We will be contacting her again. 🐶🐶”

“My first time using Rover I didn’t know what to expect having a stranger stay in our home with our kitty. Shelby was so friendly and sweet and sent updates, our kitty loved her! I will definitely rebook with Shelby again! Can’t say thank you enough for such an awesome job. ❤️🐱”

“We have two small rescue dogs who are quite anxious, but Brittany has a special way of connecting with them. Her calm, loving nature has won their hearts. Finding someone who could help us with Johnny and Lizzie when we travel has been challenging, but Brittany has made all the difference. We couldn’t be more grateful!”

“Courtney was great to work with. Set us at ease leaving our dog for the first time since we moved. She was communicative, respectful of our home, and was very sweet with Maggie.”

“JaNiya took amazing care of my dog Finch! I’m so grateful to her even in short notice she was able to help me out. She is very knowledgeable, communicative and easygoing. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Jade always takes great care of my dog. Sends lots of pictures and keeps the communication lines open so I always know how things are going. Have used her several times and will continue to do so.”

“Charish was incredibly professional and great with my two pups while we were away. The dogs were tired and the house showed no trace she was even there. I received plenty of updates and had no worries at all while they were in her care. I look forward to have her watch them in the future!”

“Kathryn was wonderful! Very understanding of our boy and his protective behaviors. We got updates while we were away and will definitely be having her back. Would highly recommend!”

“This is our 2nd booking with Wanda, 2nd time with Rover as well. I was so hesitant to entrust our pups with a stranger but we were in a bind. I missed the review window for the 1st booking, so I just have to start there. Wanda accepted a meet and greet at a neutral location then a 2nd meet at our home. With us, the dogs, and her, all comfortable with each other, a booking was agreed upon. From that point on it's been so rewarding for not just our dogs, but for us. Wanda keeps us updated on everything, from how many walks a day, and even how many poops per walk. T.M.I. I know, but for those helicopter moms of us, she understands. Please reach out to Wanda if in need of a sitter. Oh, and did I mention, she was at the house for the entire duration of our first 5 night trip, and the 2nd, 3 day trip. Couldn't even tell she had been there but for the door camera. She even followed up after the fact, checking in on them. And could tell our babies didn't miss us as much, as when we got home, they were just like, 'What's up'... Give Wanda a try, you and your 'kids' will not be disappointed!”
About: Grew up taking care of animals consistently Had a senior dog growing up Taken multiple puppy behavior/training courses Love training new skills and commands to dogs I have worked with many special needs animals I have a pretty flexible schedule through out the week, with more availability early mornings or any time after 4PM. My weekends are quiet and usually free for extra drop-ins or a nice walk. I have two cats that love other animals to play with. I have a smaller apartment so, I have to limit the size of the pets I allow in my home.
“Justin has cared for my great dane & lab many times over the last few months. We normally travel at least once long weekend a month, sometimes more. His time with my dogs has improved my life and more specifically, my great danes life, immensely. I realize that may seem like a strange statement for a pet sitter, but let me explain. Kane, the Dane, had turned from a well socialized dog to a very reactive dog through Covid. I had done so many things to try to prevent this from ever appearing, and was a bit overwhelmed to find myself with 165 pound unpredictable, but beautiful animal. With a lot of training and work, I finally got to a place where I could walk him down the street without a muzzle on again. Huge moment for us. I really thought the days of taking him with me to public dog friendly locations was over. And it’s saddened me because I wanted a dog that would be part of my everyday life, not one stuck at the house with an occasional walk. Then Justin entered the scene. With my permission, Justin spent a lot of time not only caring for their basic needs, but socializing them. During this last booking, Justin was even able to take Kane to a local pet friendly establishment, and they both had a great experience. My phone was flooded with pictures and videos of Kane enjoying being part of the world. It was incredible to see that dog again, because it’s been years. I had honestly tried to set that dream aside, thinking it was forever out of reach. A few days after I returned home, Justin went even further above and beyond. He met me and Kane at that same dog friendly location to help give me confidence and support should anything go awry. I got a first row seat to watch my dog be adored on by stranger after stranger. We even had a few nose stiff with the other dogs with no incident. It’s hard to put into words when you thought something you hoped and dreamed for was gone forever, and then it emerges from the most unexpected places. I know to many pet owners this may sound like an overly dramatized story. But to those who have challenges with reactive dogs, you know just how life changing it is. Thank you, Justin. There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to you.”

“Nicole took excellent care of my three dogs while I was away. She is very responsive, attentive, and easy to work with. I felt totally at ease leaving my dogs with her and hope to use her again. I would definitely recommend her.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Falling Water walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Falling Water maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Falling Water choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Falling Water. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
