“Charish was absolutely wonderful! She communicated consistently throughout the stay and took such great care of my pup. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was happy, loved, and well cared for while I was away. I also came home to a clean house, which was such an added bonus. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t recommend her enough!”

“Emily is amazing!! She went above and beyond for us and our dogs, while we were away. She’s kind, and loving toward our pets and everyone around her. She is also very intelligent, well versed, always on time, and has experience with many different kinds of animals. She’s always on time and did a terrific job taking care of our home and our dogs! Everything was exactly how we left it and the dogs were happy and well cared for. We will definitely contact Emily for future needs bc she’s truly the best we’ve seen in regards to taking care of our home and pets. Contact Emily and you won’t regret it! She is amazing!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Keira, a 21 year old lifelong dog lover from Chattanooga (Soddy-Daisy/Lakesite area) who’s completely obsessed with giving dogs the best care possible. I had the privilege of caring for my soul dog Charley (a mini schnauzer) for almost 10 years. During that time I learned so much about loving and caring for dogs — including giving daily subcutaneous fluids when he needed them. Because of him, I’m especially gentle and patient with senior dogs, but I also adore puppies and their endless energy! I’m very loving, attentive, and flexible with scheduling. Whether you need daily walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your fur baby will get lots of cuddles, playtime, and genuine affection while you’re away. I’d be honored to care for your dog (or cat! I’m very good with cats although I do have fewer years of experience with them!) Feel free to message me with any questions 💕 I’m currently between jobs so all of my focus is on animal care! I have a super open schedule so your furry friend will get so much attention and love! I can’t offer care from my home, I live with too many people and would hate to stress out your pet, but I can come and stay in your home, whether it be overnight or drop-ins. I’m very good about feeding on time, watching the water bowl, giving frequent potty breaks, and taking a few walks throughout the day. I will also adhere to any special requests you may have for your pup!
“This was our second time with Courtney! She did an amazing job during our potential ice/snow storm. It means everything to feel comfortable about your dog & home!”

I am a reliable business owner and committed to the well being of your babies My services include pet sitting, pet walking, drop in care, and most other pet care services. My previous career was a 25 year Civil Engineer, so I’m a reliable, responsible, and very trustworthy. If you’d like references, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you and your pet (s), and providing the best care for your precious fur babies. I’m partially retired and am available most days and evenings. I work for myself so I can work around your schedule. Taking care of your pets in your home is a lot more comfortable and less stressful for them than boarding. Pets can come home traumatized after boarding. I will make sure you come home to a very happy pet! I am sorry and don’t currently care for dogs in my home. I’m unable to give the best care in I may provide this service in the future.
“Brittany is our absolute hero. She was able to watch our senior dog last minute after our other sitter couldn’t make it, and saved our whole trip. Our dog is older, blind, and needs medication so I was nervous about leaving him, but Brittany’s top notch care made me feel so at ease. She sent us daily updates and photos of our pup, kept the house clean, brought on packages, and gave us so much peace of mind. She is a shining star and took such good care of our little old pup and home. After a long day of traveling, it felt amazing to come home to a clean house and happy pup. I can’t recommend her enough and we’ll definitely be return clients.”
“JaNiya is a phenomenal housesitter, especially if you have shy animals (but *any* animal would love her!). We have two skittish greyhounds and a very shy adopted cat. Within one day, our cat was sitting in JaNiya’s lap, and our dogs were relaxed and happy. I couldn’t believe it! She has such a calm, tender presence, and you can tell she adores animals. She’s even studying to be a veterinarian! Do not pass her up! She’s the only housesitter we’ll use from now on!”

“This was my first time using an app to find someone to watch my furbaby and Dana definitely made me feel comfortable and relieved. We lucked out finding her! She’s got a calm demeanor which matched perfectly for my old girl. She sent me an update midday with a couple pictures that eased my anxiety. She was willing to work with me on the schedule when things changed on my end. And like other reviewers said she even tidied up a bit, which was completely unexpected and very kind. The best part is my pup really seemed comfortable with her from the beginning. Definitely look forward to rebooking with her in the future!”

“Absolutely amazing sitter!! Jeanette is the best. I felt extremely at ease with her staying at our home and watching Harley. She gave her exceptional care and love. If you want someone to go above and beyond for your fur baby she is your sitter. She even gave special attention to her paws that have been itching. I will 10000000% ask her to watch Harley again!!”

“Stephanie was absolutely wonderful - I think one of my cats and probably my dog was sad when we got home 🤣 she was really good with their quirks and our general absurd care instructions and she sent adorable photos showing them all having fun. It made it easier to relax on my much needed vacation knowing that my fur lovies were happy and loved! Will absolutely be using her services again!”

“Jade is a wonderful pet sitter for my elderly dog that has separation anxiety issues. She took very good care of my dog, and stayed with him during the day and overnight. She gave him his medicines as instructed and on time. Jade is a very sweet and kind person and took great care of my dog. She left my house in very good order and when I came home, it was just the way I left it all clean. She also fed the outside feral cat for me and also brought my mail in. Jade is already booked to come back and pet sit again and I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve worked in vet clinics as a kennel tech since I was a freshman in high school. I became triple certified as a veterinarian assistant my senior year, currently I am working full time as a vet tech at a clinic in East Brainerd. In the fall, I am attending Ashworth for their veterinary technology program to obtain my licensure. I work full time Thursday-Sunday, I can come early before my shifts or after in the evening during the weekend. Weekdays are a lot more flexible if need be! I can help in any home environment you keep your pets in, with or without a fence! Working in a vet clinic has given me experience in proper medication handling (oral and injectable), grooming skills, working with animals of all temperaments, CPR training and dealing with animals in crisis. Rest assured your baby is safe with me!

“We were in need of a last minute house/pet sitter for graduation weekend. Drake was quick to respond with his availability. He even met us beforehand to ensure he was the right fit for our animals. Spoiler - he absolutely was! If you're looking for someone highly professional, calm, and patient with your animals - then hire Drake. He sent regular updates and gave our animals so much love in our absence. Thank you Drake!”

“Maria was wonderful, highly recommended! I think she spent more time with them during our week away than we do when we’re home. She sent us messages with updates daily and pictures to put our minds at ease. She took great care of our property as well…she was there when TS Debby came through.”

“Huntter did a wonderful job keeping my dogs and house safe and loved. He was able to spend the night and my dogs loved him. My house was spotless when I arrived home after 8 days away. Thank you Huntter!”

“Justin was great. Communication was fantastic. He kept us updated and sent pics. He took great care and played with the dogs and just made me feel better that someone was home with my baby. I would definitely recommend Justin and would book with him again.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Cierra! I don’t even think I can express in this review how amazing she is. She was the absolute best dog sitter we could have possibly found. From the initial meet and greet, I knew she was the one! My dog takes a while to warm up to people, that wasn’t the case with Cierra. I truly feel like she connected with my dog, and enjoyed the time with her. My dog acted as if we never left, and that is how I knew she loved Cierra. I never had to ask for an update, nor did I worry about my little girl while we were out of the country. Cierra sent plenty of updates and the cutest pictures. She took amazing care of our home, she even washed my dishes and sheets and put a clean set on for us knowing we would get home super late. I honestly feel like I’ve gained a friend!! I will book with Cierra over and over again anytime I need a sitter!!!! She is a wonderful person all around :)”

This was our first time using Brittany and we loved her. She was super sweet and took great care of our two dogs. One requires medication and she had no issues with doing that either. . She stayed the night we didn’t have to worry at all that she wouldn’t be here with them. She kept us up to date with pics, times and all things. . We would definitely recommend her and we will be asking for her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Middle Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Middle Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Middle Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
